“The set meal is good value and taste still good since their opening in mandarin gallery last time. Like the option of how hard or soft the noodle.” or “Delicious ramen! Disappointing. The meat in the ramen was very thin and small in size. Totally not worth the money. Feels more like it’s just using the name of the brand. There are better ramen around.

Ippudo which is one of most famous Ramen brand in a world. There are many branches in Singapore, too.
Raffles city branch is new since middle of this year.

Happy hour set is available and many alcohol offers here, good for drinking person.

Any branch at any time, Ramen quality is good. Rich taste, Japan quality.
But price is also one of highest level, I think it’s tough to get everyone’s satisfaction. Because there must nut be lack of hospitality, smartness, even small mistake of Ramen quality.

I like here but still new shop, some people might mind not smooth service and something.

I used to be a huge fan of Ippudo but was sorely disappointed when visiting the Raffles city outlet on Saturday for lunch. There were many empty tables but we were not seated and waited in line for 15 mins. The gyozas have shrank to half the usual size and hardly any meat in them only flour and some minced vegetables. Noodle quantity has also shrunk, egg is not marinated but soup broth remains tasty. Really sad that my favourite ramen in SG has deteriorated so much.

A place where you need to determine if you want your noodle to be soft, medium, hard or very hard. Haha. Also original, spicy or hot and extra hot. Overall quite tasty though. Mine is at the soft and hot combination.

Featuring an array of exclusive dishes as well as its signature ramen offerings. Some of these exclusive dishes boast a western influence, delighting gourmands from both worlds. Starting off with my favourite would be the Teppan Rice, which served with a mixture of red and yellow peppers, corn, and crisp-fried IPPUDO ramen noodles. After pouring the eggy homemade cheese lava sauce onto the sizzling hot plate and mixed, it definitely was heavenly. Both wagyu and pork options are available. -foodgem .sg

It is a ramen restaurant located on the first basement floor of Raffles City. Ippudo is a ramen chain based in Fukuoka, Japan. There seemed to be several branches in Singapore as well. While looking around Raffles City, I suddenly wanted to eat Korean food very much. The hot soup seemed to be the most craving. When I looked it up, there was a Korean restaurant called “Local Gol” on the first basement floor of Raffles City. However, I decided not to go because of the high price (e.g., kimchi stew S$20) and reviews that said it had no taste. Accordingly, the Korean food option was abandoned, and while I was looking for food with broth, I found Ippudo and entered it. I ordered a salmon bowl and a ramen called Bonito Yawa. The salmon bowl was a bit fishy. However, the ramen was more delicious, but in fact, the quality was slightly inferior to that of Korean ramen restaurants, let alone mainland Japan. However, I was very hungry and wanted to eat the soup, so I ate it as I regretted it. If we had to compare it, how about a little bit of delicious learning in Korea? seems to have been the level. Salmon bowl (S$8.95), Bonita Yawa (S$17.85), 2 cans of drinks S$6.00, total S$38.61 including tax. Among the meals I ate in Singapore, it was on the cheap side, but it was a bit of a waste because I had to pay close to 40,000 won for eating food at the academic level.

Lunch for 2 today. We got in just before 12 noon and the place was comfortable spaced out even when it got full the noise level was manageable as we could still talk.

We took the set lunch with ramen noodles plus a side (salad and gyoza) and a drink (coke and hot green tea).
It was really nice to have green tea served in tea pot and cup. The salad was very fresh and appetising. Noodles was al Dante. Overall a good lunch experience with good and responsive service.

Came back again in early Nov for dine in. Tried their new pumpkin salad – very nice. Must learn at home! The meal was great.

Best ramen at Raffles City or Singapore for me. Been around since early 2010 at Mandarin Orchard shopping gallery. The spicy ramen soup is my favourite. Add chilli powder if you want morespicy flavour. I recommend their fried chicken in 5 pieces too. No lemon for me. Their Takoyaki is freshly made and cooked too. Reminds me of the ones in Japan, Japan ones are 5 stars, SG ones about 4 stars.

2nd experience of Ippudo and I felt it was much nicer albeit some improvements needed. The mentai gyoza was slightly too salty. Edadame should be considered normal as a snack, kids meal was okay as the children finished everything. Salmon carpaccio was above average, could have used a slightly tangy taste to it. Yuzu tonkatsu tasted normal, just like the original. Bonito special had too much ‘powder’ all over which made the first few mouthfuls slightly ‘difficult’. Could have gave a 5 stars if the onsen egg served was onsen egg and not just a fully cooked imitation of a lava egg which is bland. Recommend for the noodles and appetizers and good broth.

Ramen ok, but terrible service. The staff Jia wen speaks in condescending manner and body language reflects lack of training, the place is very quiet, only 2 tables with customers, with larger tables at the back occupied by their own staffs eating and using the phone. Staffs rather gather and talk, very impatient and unwilling attitude whenever customers walk-in. No wonder the place quieted down by a lot.

Ippudo has lighter ramens, which I appreciate as I do not really like heavy flavoured ramens. We got the Karaka Special with the pork baos. The baos were surprisingly great. The thick pork cut with juicy fat is what really made it delicious.

The vegetarian ramen broth tastes nice, but on the pricey side for the amount of food. For some reason just because it’s a vegetarian item there’s a noticeable lack of toppings comparative to the normal menu items.

Just because people turn vegetarian doesn’t mean they suddenly stop needing the same amount of food and calories as meat eaters. That part annoys me.

But the broth is genuinely nice, and that is the vegetarian option’s saving grace

Really good ramens from Ippudo. It is at reasonable price with this quality of ramen. dumplings is also good for sharing if you go with friends. Came to this new outlet, knowing the ippudo chain from Japan. However standards are completely different here, like Yoshinoya.

Ambience is not well sound proofed to begin with, tables and chairs seem budget for the Ippudo branding. Menu prices will try to upsell you for the special combo, which shows good serving and sides.

When my special bowl came ($22), I realised the additional chashu slices were significantly uneven! The additional 2 slices of chashu were at least 50% thinner than the first 2, leading me to think that they added the slices for the premium pricing, but saved on the thickness of it.

The soup base was overboiled (not slowly simmered) and the chashu was pre-boiled as well, without a hint of char-ness one would expect from a good chashu.

    Noodles were good though.

All in all, an overpriced bowl of an average ramen in a mall setting with koptiam style tables and chairs.

Maybe I was spoiled by Ichiran/Ippudo in Japan. Maybe I have better choices like ramen keisuke in Singapore.

    Food wise:
The Maze soba includes delicious looking ingredients, the egg, the spring onion, the shoots, meat, etc. Love the nice flowy egg yolk, look at the golden lava! The meat looked fatty, the layers of fat, so sinfully good!

Now for the downside, the noodles were pretty thick with some parts tough. The sauce was quite okay, but not very flavourful to be honest, probably just not suitable for me. I guess one just got spoiled by other restaurants that served better Maze soba, whereby they provide a complimentary bowl of rice to eat with the remaining sauce from the Maze. So, as a big eater, one might not be that impressed.

The Karaka ramen, the chashu was quite good, tender, chewy, and flavourful. The egg was one with golden gooey yolk, noice! The first mouth of the soup was not too bad, doesn’t have the thick and rich taste that the shiromaru and the Akamaru, from Mandarin Gallery, had. One was looking forward to it, however, the more soup one drink, the saltier it becomes. Not sure is it because of the chili paste, or maybe just me?

One was hoping for the same standard as the one in Mandarin Gallery, well, turns out not really.

    Ambience wise: Great!

Service wise: The staff looked busy, but still quite helpful. They still managed to get me the garlic and the garlic crusher.

    Price wise: Affordable!

i found there are a lot of better ramen shops around singapore that are way better. the broth was not thick and rich enough. The noodle texture was perfect. I ordered the set that comes with gyoza but they forgot about it, they only served after i finished my noodles.

probably not going to recommend it to anyone. this is my second try after many years. It still disappoint me. it is such a big chain restaurant which is from Japan, i am expecting a higher standard.

Ramen is the pizza of Asia: an inexpensive comfort food that inexplicably doubles in price when you take it out of its native country.

Ippudo is always tasty, but I’m knocking off a star for the cynical pricing (over $20 dollars for a bowl of ramen, after tax and service) and the lack of ambience (mall basement).

Advertised as the best ramen in the world. Not sure about that but it is the best ramen I have eaten. Very flavourful broth and sufficient amount of noodles not to leave hungry.

The gyoza are bigger than cashew nuts, but still small and ~1.5 dollars per piece. Since water is free, I do not deduct anything

IPPUDO is a great place to eat delicious ramen! It’s one of the limited eating places that offers dinning with last order at 915pm and closed at 10pm on weekends at Raffles City during this COVID period.

The soup of the ramen is very tasty and delicious. Endame is seasoned with salt and was warm when served. Chicken karage is juicy and yummy as well.

Water (both cold and warm) is compliment. I like the temperature of the warm water.

Staff are friendly and took effort to decorate the restaurant in line with Halloween .

I truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Waited for close to 30 mins for my food during dinner time, which would have been fine if not for the fact that tables that arrived later than me were served earlier.

Clarified with the waitstaff, who told me my orders were still some way back. Literally had to get them to verify that my orders should’ve been earlier as tables that arrived after we order were being served.

Were then told order were next, but what was infuriating was other tables were served but our food finally arrived (table next to me came 15 mins later and food arrived right after mine).

Really good service. The staffs are gentle and kind (especially a lady named Bell). Their ramens are good, not as salty as the original Ippudo in Japan (which is a good thing). The spicy Karakamen special is great (though its Sze Chuan peppers is not that numbing, even the very hot level). Highly recommended.

During my dinner on Saturday, 21 May 2022 at your Raffles City Shopping
Centre outlet, I accidentally spilled the entire content of the sesame seed
condiment into my bowl of ramen, which was just served…stupid me! We were seated at Table A01, which is located near the kitchen. The incident was witnessed by Rong Ming, a member of the kitchen staff. He immediately offered to replace my spoilt bowl of ramen free of charge. This is an example of great customer service. I will like to commend Rong Ming on his exemplary behaviour and high standard of customer service skills. Just having this experience, along with the great tasting ramen, I am compelled to be a return-customer. Great job, Rong Ming and Ippudo team!

This Yuzu Chicken Ramen was SO GOOD. If you love citrus-y food, you will enjoy it.

Taste was ok. Small portion for mentai gyoza $$10.90 & salmon roll $13.80. We tried the Yokohama Iekei Ramen ($18 with 4pcs of chashu) which was seasonal… 1 tried akamura special $21.85 – looked more dressed… non alcoholic drinks like teas & sodas are reasonably priced at $3-$4 per large cup.
The shio soya pudding $5.90 was the surprise of the meal – tasted like cheese, texture was not as smooth as the normal pudding.

Prices relatively are ok. Servings are smaller. Wagyu is a bit tough and too much fat. Gyoza is superb – crispy on the outside, juicy inside. Seared tuna is ok – so so only. Drinks selection is quite a bit from non to alcoholic drinks including some fancy sake in a transparent can. Quite packed and have to wait a bit for seating. Ordering is all via QR code and online. Payment is at the counter. CC is accepted.

Very good Ramen & is more costly than most ramen shops here. However, they are generous with the ingredients. 4 slices of char siew pork in one bowl of ramen, on top of other condiments. Soup was so good, tasty with umami flavour & yet not too salty.
Side dishes were spot on too. Salmon carpaccio, Pork loins, Gyoza with mentaiko sauce. A really wide selection of side dishes like Pork Buns, Takoyaki, etc.
    Definitely a repeat customer.

Came here by myself, several tables free but the table that accommodates those who eat alone was empty. Unnecessary waiting 10 minutes with no one to attend. Something you will never see if you go to Ippudo in Japan. Service was very average and that in Singapore is quite shocking.
All customers who came after me got their orders before me, quite odd but hen again I am not Singaporean so maybe thats why I had to wait longer than all those who were. Not coming back to this Ippudo branch in Raffles mall. The food is good which is the reason for visiting and the only reason for a 3 star rating.

    4.5* for food.
    1* for service.
Maybe I was unlucky to receive a subpar standard of service. Everything was decent until a waitress decided to clear our table. No issues with that except she stacked our bowls together (with the broth), causing the broth to spill and onto our bags (which were placed in the basket provided). What irks me was her after service! I was shocked at the spill and immediately voiced out (what the) and went to “rescue” the bags, trying to wipe the broth up with the soiled serviette that I had on hand. Not only did she not apologised, she said she will be back later. Back later she did came, just to pass us 2 pieces of wet wipes and walked away. She did not even bother to check if everything is alright! Do note that this occured after the lunch crowd and it is not their busy time. At least sound apologetic! And please Ippudo, train your wait staff to use their common sense that stacking bowls of soups will definitely result in spill over!

Order double portion if hungry. Noodles tasty but and I think the broth is one of the best in sg but the servings are so measly I was still hungry after my ramen and the pathetic serving of SUPER salty seaweed fries ($6.90) that the kitchen insisted was their standard fare. Honestly insulting. Spent $52 for 2 pax. Service recovery is laughably poor. Man on the table beside us gave feedback that his noodles were too spicy because they changed their original recipe and it took them a grand total of 15 minutes to agree to give him another bowl. I enjoy the food here very much but the service is totally off putting.

A far cry from the original Ippudo. The broth is too watery with no detectable fragrance. Noodles asked for medium but got soggy. The egg is totally not worth it at $2.90 – it is supposed to be “Ajitsuke”, or marinated, but tasted like regular unmarinated soft boiled egg. The yolk is supposed to be slightly dark colored from the marination but it was just a regular yolk – the marinade only penetrated a little of the outermost egg white. Gyoza is OK though not piping hot as one would hope. The plump lady at the cashier is very friendly.

Great ramen, good service at slightly above average prices.
Ordered the shiro original and kawa spicy ramen. Glad to visit the joint during their anniversary, so we got 2 ramen, 2 sides and 2 drinks for $36. Ramen was good, as expected of a Michelin winner, and they have been very consistent. Pork broth was creamy but not to the point of it being gelat. Chicken karaage was okay, dumpling as well. However, toppings can be quite pricey, an egg costs $3 more, and it’s not part of the bowl.
Visited the outlet at 6pm, no crowd and was seated right away. Located at B1 of Raffles City mall, it is very convenient but might be hard to find since it’s among the many restaurants.
