I stayed in IBIS Budget West coast for a week. I came to Singapore for the first time, and the front desk staff was pretty awesome.
I had no place to stay, and thus had requested them to hold the letters for me regarding EP.
They called me 2 weeks after too, to inform that they had indeed received a communication. Quite helpful and lovely. Especially Maria and Isaac.

A reasonable hotel with standard facilities. The wi-fi internet connection in my room was slow, and the room was smell like cigarette. I wonder if this is a non-smoking hotel?

Cool management- disagreement during check-in was resolved swiftly. Room contained a twin bed, a desk and an inefficiently designed, cramp bathroom. Interior was very plain. On the whole, very, very average. And slightly pricey compared to other hotels offering more piquant accommodations. But being one of the 3 hotels in the West Coast area, I guess they have the leverage to set higher than comensurate prices.
A very nice, clean room. Bathroom was clean as well. Lots of eating places just a 2-minute walk away. The receptionists were cheery and efficient.
Small cramped rooms. They charge more if you walk in compared to online prices. Almost got ripped off by $60 per night because I didnt know this.
I went to stay for 3 nights. Got placed on 5th floor, then proceeded to encounter 3 roaches in the room. Told the front desk, they don’t seem surprised/or even care about the situation I asked for any kind of compensation but they were unable to do so other than move me to a new room. (I moved everything myself, they did not help with moving anything at all)
Overall, disappointed with hygiene and staff attitude towards complaints.
The hotel is located near NUS , perfect for parents or visitors to NUS. The rooms albeit a bit small are immaculate and we’ll maintained!
The hotel is reasonably maintained. The hotel staff is not reasonable with check in time. I was asked to wait till 3 pm despite saying that I had arrived at 5 am to the airport. The rooms do not have windows, breakfast is not included, the door wouldn’t get locked and I had to ask to have it fixed. The location is good as there is a bus stop right outside the door and nice shops in the vicinity. It is close to National University of Singapore (Nus) that I was visiting. It is a mere 20 minute walk from there which was convenient. The budget is low so possibly can pass off as a decent one night accommodation. However, not impressed and not a great experience.

Stayed for 3nights. Check in process is fast and easy, we only need to show our passport and the receptionist will proceed your room. The rooms are exactly the same with the ones I booked from traveloka.
The room isnt so big but it’s enough for 2 persons. The room and bathroom are clean and tidy. The facility is excellent. They have free wifi which was fast. They clean the room, renew the towel and amenities everyday. The bed is a bit hard tho.
Even though it’s located far from the airport but the hotel is easy to reach by bus. You can take the MRT from changi and stop by Clementi station. After that u can take the bus and stop right in front of the hotel. There is 7-11 nearby and also nice restaurant.
Rooms were extremely small with prices close to 4* hotels.
Aircond in every room had a very loud motor that affects sleep.

Careful – we were booked in here and switched to Fragrance Hotel “Oceanview” next door. I don’t know if the Waterfront was better, but Oceanview had no view at all since the rooms had no windows.

We stayed in this hotel for 12D/11N in Jan 2019.
– Service: The front desk staff, Khairunnisa served us well. Throughout our stay, the staffs were very friendly and polite. They made sure to greet us whenever we enter or exit the hotel.
– Rooms: The rooms initially had some smell and the floor was oily. But, it was cosy. After the room service, the room’s smell and the floor were better. The toilet door hinge/lock kept getting loose. We had to call for maintenance twice during our stay.
– Location: Situated in an ideal place as there are bus stops nearby, with bus services going to places like Clementi, Haw Par Villa and Boon Lay. There are also several food places (Like Al-Amaan) and 7/11 just within walking distance.
Overall, it was a nice experience staying in this hotel.

As per the name of the hotel, the hotel lobby is always fragrant, if you will feel comfortable because of the fragrance, just love, the continuous fragrances don’t reach the bedroom.

It’s alright if you need to be near NUS and get it at a significant discount. Small rooms. Many without a window or a fridge. The AC is good, but hot water only lasts 5 minutes or so. Pretty crammed shower and bathroom. The area has some good restaurants though..

Nice hotel with tiny room. Bad sound proof so you can hear noise of walking/toilet flushing. Your room might not have a window (well, at first I got such a room but got another one later). The staffs there are good, they helped me solve my requests efficiently. NUS could provide you nice and cheap meals if you live here.

Not impressed and not a great experience with this hotel because the room is too small, no wardrobe, no clothes hanger, aircond so noisy, not suitable to stay longer. Wifi connection also poor, so hard to do work when using the wifi. Never to book this hotel anymore.

Basic business/tourist class hotel. Small clean rooms. Booked a queen online, but was given a twin. Hotel staff claimed the room type was an upgrade but it was still tiny. Staff also said the two twin beds were joined together (which would’ve made it like a queen). But it turned out the beds were installed on different levels! Was late and too tired to demand a room change. Stay was otherwise acceptable.
Update in response to reply from hotel below: It is interesting to note the “not our fault” stance taken by Thaddeus. To elaborate:
1. Staff said the twin beds were joined like a queen, but it turns out they were not joined. Thaddeus says, “It’s due to the land constraints in Singapore.” A better response: “Sorry, we will train our staff to provide correct information to guests during check-in.”
2. I booked a queen, but was given two twins. Thaddeus says, “All queen rooms were already assigned.” Better solution: don’t sell more double rooms than you have. All rooms have a fixed configuration. Don’t sell a twin room as a double room. If you reassign another guest, be sure it is at the expense of another guest who has stated in his booking that he is flexible.
It’s not that hard to run a hotel. Neither is it hard to say your team messed up, and just apologise.

Adjust your expectations, it’s a budget hotel after all.
So this is a 2-star hotel, so expectations should be reasonable. It is clean. The beds are comfy. The only thing I will knock on is that the toilet pressure was low. I wish it was a little nearer to malls. There are some restaurants nearby, but otherwise, it isn’t near anything notable.

The good: clean room and friendly check in. The bad: Hot water for shower only last a few minutes, mattresses are tough and old, no sunscreen for bathroom window means a bright room even if you need to sleep late.
My employees (Malaysians) are currently serving their SHN in this hotel. The hotel counter staff; namely Nisha & Mas have pleasant personalities and goes the extra mile to assist their clients.
I will not hesitate to book for my other Malaysians who are going back via the PCA arrangements. One small suggestion is that you should probably consider providing a bigger bottle of Mineral water instead of the current one as they would not be able to leave their rooms. Other than that, I think they find it great! Thanks for a well done job!

I came to NUS to study and stayed in a superior twin room with windows for 3 days. The room is very small, the air conditioner is loud, the sound insulation is not good, there is no refrigerator, and the drawers are full of snacks and water eaten by the previous tenants. The rest is clean. Front desk service is also very good.

Took the twin single bed small room without window. Has a small toilet with awkward positioned showerhead and toilet bowl. No bidet. Has wifi, and tv with cable channels but somewhat poor reception. Clean towel, heated water and clean sheets. Deco is minimal and clean.

It was good enough for me. It’s near the NUS campus, and since I was there for a conference at NUS, that was the perfect place for me. If you are a tourist though, the hotel is far from every thing: 25 minutes walk to the nearest metro station MRT, 40 minutes walk to the nearest big mall (Clementi) and away from most attractions. But again for me it was 20 minutes walk from my conference site on campus.
It has no restaurant nor does it offer breakfast but that’s OK since there are so many restaurants just steps away, with 3 options for Halal. The rent is affordable given Singapore prices.
If you need wifi access, make sure you specify it when you book the room online, otherwise, you’ll pay an exaggerated $10 per night for each device that you want to connect!
