Just sent my bike last week for servicing and so far I’m quite impressed by the professionalism and advice given by the team! Eventhough my bike seems underutilized..it took about 2 working days due to public holiday. Taping was done well and wiring for whole bike. Even though the tape I recall was suppose to be another type. Nice of the staff to remind me on the mandatory warranty and to take note of the gear change due to loosen tension of the wires. So far so good and new training tyres as well (Vittoria zaffiro)..good job and high professionalism. Keep up the good work!

Great service for all bikes. Highly recommend the full tune up (as they call it at “bike spa”). Really trustworthy as they go through everything with you beforehand, and thoroughly check your bike out. They’ll give you a preestimate so there are no surprises. On pick up you have an opportunity to take a test ride before payment to make any last minute adjustments. Really happy to continue servicing at Hup Leong.

Bought a fixie cruiser backpedal bike via Lazada and wasnt used to the backpedal. called the Hup Leong shop to ask if I could install handbrakes – they were able to do it and quote a price 2x – 2.5x cheaper than those in the 10km vicinity. they fixed the handbrakes very neatly and well tested it before returning to me. all of the staff were friendly. Excellent service way beyond expectation
I sent my road bike for servicing and the mechanics recommended to change my tubeless tires which were already old and not safe for road cycling.
2 days later, Ryan (young friendly guy at shop) informed me a mechanic had by accident cracked the rear carbon rim while fixing the new tubeless tire. Hup Leong decided to replace the entire carbon wheel set (both front and rear) they had to purchase brand new from the local authorized distributor, so to ensure the bike is safe for riding.
I applauded the absolute level of transparency, honesty, concern for customer safety and exceptional service of Hup Leong.
I bought a Cannondale bike from here, and the team was very helpful in informing the right size to get.
But what really impressed me most was the post-purchase care service so far. Whenever there was an issue with the bike, I can always drop in to the shop to get help from them. This is a real differentiation point in why you want to purchase a bicycle from a local bike shop. Please keep up the good work.

Such a great customer service and perfect personalized advice! I love my new Merida bike, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Definitley recommend the shop and service! Especially during Covid-19, they do the best they can do.
After several years riding in Singapore, I have tried many bikes shops and with no doubt, they are the best. They have everything that you need with great stock rotation. They are knowledgeable about any issue that you might have in your bike and they are always ready to help you (even when they are fully busy at the shop). If you are looking for a servicing is always better to head there and speak to the team. They will definitely find the right time to do it. It might not be immediate but it is worth to wait.

Amazing service. Contacted them with an issue on a bike I purchased from them 2 years ago. Gilbert called me to explain how to resolve the issue and even offered to demonstrate how to resolve it myself if I can bring the bike over to their address. Unfortunately I was too busy but they were able to arrange transport for my bike to their location. The issue was resolved and Ryan was patient in explaining the bill and what was serviced. Thumbs up.
A breath of fresh air whereby the boss and staff are so friendly and helpful. Unlike some other unpleasant bicycle shops, the boss himself patiently provide advise and insights. Even though I didn’t manage to buy anything, as it was out of stock, I left the shop feeling good. Will definitely come back when I need to get something relating to bicycles.

I just wanted to share how amazing my experience has been with Hup Leong Co. From the moment I left my details to be waitlisted for bikes, the team has exceeded all my expectations.
When Ryan called to inform me that my size was available, he was extremely helpful, patient and informative.
I made my way down after a bike fit and was promptly shown the bikes. They let me take my time and even offered cold or room temperature water while I weighed my options.
Needless to say I walked away with my dream bike.
Today I sent the bike back for a break in adjustment and again was given the VIP treatment.
After shopping for bikes at multiple venues, Hup Leong Co has been hands down the most service oriented, professional and absolutely takes pride in what they do.

Excellent bike shop. The owner (Gilbert) and the staff are honest and helpful. The price is above market average, but if you value quality, hassle free workmanship. Than this is the store for you. Doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or expert cyclist. This store is where you should spend your time.
My experience. I purchased a bike from another store. They wouldn’t honor and address the issues which were poor assembly and lack of tuning of my bike. So I gave up.
I came to Hup Leong seeking help. Gilbert explained to me that the bike will need to stay at the shop for 5-6 days bc he has to prioritise his customers that buy from his shop (a sign of true cx service). After looking around the shop he said, I have some time to look into your bike and maybe give you my advice. He tested and did diagnostic. He said a quick tune and adjustment here and there would solve the issue. He even helped adjust my wife’s bike to address her palms going numb.
He didn’t have to do anything. But he found an opportunity in his busy day to help out to beginner cyclist.
I will be a lifetime customer, and you should too.

Possibly the best Cycle shop i’ve been to, its incredible how detailed Gilbert and Team are, they are so very trustworthy and have all the patience in the world in explaining what needs to be done. I went in with absolutely no clue what was wrong and wanted all the work done, Gilbert was kind enough to explain to me that the entire package i had initially requested for was no necessary and only certain bits needed to be done.

Used to be a place to get my shimano mtb small parts. Price has gone up but its a supply and demand for the bike industry. Friendly owner and a huge range of merida bikes. Do check the discounted section for some Nos parts . wheelbuilding was great as i was a fan of wheelsmith spokes and got it laced with chris king + ztr arch .
I came in to look for my first road bike, and the staff member who helped me was very patient and helpful. He let me try a Merida bike in my size and budget range and explained the other models and differences between them. Even though I had decided not to get the Merida because I wanted disc brakes and the bike had rim brakes, he entertained my curiosity to see bike cleats and car racks.

First class customer experience. The have a great understanding of how to support thier customers, especially when helping them build a bike from frame-set up. Very satisfied. Was traveling with my bike and needed some overhauls. Hup Leong offered the service and in a day my Cervelo R5 was “dialed in” for the best performance since purchase. They solved some trickey issues i had been having with creative solutions and very happy with my bike’s stability and performance now. Very thankful for the work they did.

Got my road bike serviced here, price is very transparent. They even removed the rust on some bolts and put new rubbers on the kickstand. Bike’s now running extremely smoothly after servicing.

Went there a couple days ago to enquire if they will fix my broken spokes as I did not purchase my bike from them. Owner was kind enough to explain the options that I have and given that they don’t have the kind of rims I have. I opt to have it repair instead. I just bought a Merida hybrid from Hup Leong this week. I’m very satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend to amateur cyclists alike for the following reasons:
1. Wide selection. If you want an economical commuter bike(my case), you’ve got Merida; If you want a Mountain bike or Road bike, there’re Merida, and some other European brands to splurge.
2. Consultative and relationship-oriented customer service. If you are a newbie like myself, their staffs are very professional and pleasant to speak with. From my experience and observation, they are committed to long term relationship-building, not those first-time-cum-last-time shops.
3. Good after-sale services. Owning a bicycle is no different than owning a car or computer, you can and need to maintain your asset in order to reap the maximum performance and benefit. It caught my attention that Hup Leong even provide “bike spa” and other tuning services, it just shows the kind of passion and love so much needed.

Experienced guys who know their stuff. I went there to transit into clipless pedals and they went beyond the sales to help with the installation and fixing of cleats. They even spent more time in going through the actual practice & allowed me time to get familiar w the process. The tips they shared were invaluable. Can’t be faulted on their services.
Hup Leong is my go to place for all things relating to bicycles. I’ve been a customer for several years now and they always manage to exceed my expectations. I bring my bikes and my wife’s bike there for servicing and repairs since years and they always ride great after their servicing. They also a wider range of bikes there (road bikes & mountain bikes etc), mostly Merida, Colnago and Cannondale. The prices are fair and affordable. Gilbert, the owner, is very knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make a customer happy. All the employees are great, friendly, they are giving good advice and repairs and bike modifications are all well done and in a very fast manner. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Had some issues with my new bike purchase from overseas as it came with some faulty installations, rang up Hup Leong and Ryan had it fixed in just one day and even gave some bike maintenance advice. Thank you and much appreciated!
Lady in her 40s or 50s attended to me, was accommodating and friendly. However i feel their price is slightly hiked as compared to other nearby bicycle service shops in central area. (Got charged $20 for inner tubing change 700 x 35). She insisted it is industry pricing, i heeded her advice. Arnd sometime later i found out nearby shops are charging around $12 – $15 for the same service. I should have researched more. Other than this disappointment in honesty, the shop service is actually great.

Had an issue with decathlon bike – and went for a full service. With in 2 mins the team had diagnosed issue, and highlighted NO need for full service.
24 hours later, bikes tuned and brakes fixed.
10am: Got into minor accident

Went down today to look for a mountain bike. Staff Hariz, if I remember correctly, is patient and friendly to take time to educate me and size a suitable bicycle for me. He even correct my cycling position and making sure the bicycle is fit for my height.

Firstly, I must say this is a place for good quality bicycles. Hence, if you are looking for those bikes in the range of $80-$200, I respectfully recommend customers to try out other places instead. Anyway, I had patronized this shop last week and was attended to by an elderly lady and another gentleman.
Their service was really outstanding, I can tell that they only believe in recommending what customers REALLY need. To add on, being not very knowledgeable about bicycles, I asked them many questions and yet they were very patient with me unlike some other vendors that I had visited earlier. I ended up buying a MERIDA brand bicycle from them and had it delivered to my house. I must also add that the gentleman who delivered it to my house was very polite and took the initiative to call me before coming down.

I was looking for a road bike and was about to give up on my search. Was very difficult to find a bike of my size (58 Frame ). I went to Trek and they didn’t have the size and indicated that the model I was looking for might come after March. They had some models with the right size ,but was way above my budget. Rodalink service was non-existent and felt awkward to even talk to the sales rep.
Hup Leong Co : They were super responsive with my WhatsApp queries and asked me to personally visit the shop to try the bikes. Shawn ( Sales ) was fabulous to deal with. Bought a Merida Scultura 500Disc and have done 200 KMS already and love the bike. Amazing service and customer focus.
Only issue I had was the miscommunication with the availability of a particular model , but Shawn apologized immediately and threw in some freebies. Would love to get a better bike fit , but it was okay. overall very satisfied

I was told that I would be contacted on the xx day at xx, but I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call on time
Also, when I received the bicycle, I bought an air pump, and he kindly explained how to use it.
As long as I’m happy to have found a shop where I can ask for maintenance with peace of mind.

Merida Reacto 4000. Was assisted by Ryan and he was very patient regarding my queries. Explained the differences betwen the geometry and groupset and asked me to make an informed decision and not a seller who pushes you to get the highest end models. Remember to find a model which suits your needs and within your budget, and still enjoy the cycling experience. Gilbert and the rest of the staff was very friendly too! Took the bike out for a quick spin, realised that I have back aches and neck strains while cycling, contacted the shop and Ryan asked to me to head over to the shop for a bike fit. He assessed my posture and made minor adjustments and gave me tips on how to cycle in a proper way too! Gilbert gave me a raincoat since it was gonna rain while I was about to leave the shop, what a friendly gesture! Thanks Hup Leong, for making my first bike purchase a memorable one. Truly exceptional service.
Update: There was a clicking sound whenever I pedal two weeks in. Went back to the shop and they were very helpful on identifying and rectifying the issue. Turns out that my BB needs some cleaning and greasing. Clicking sound is gone. They did a simple bike fit and adjusted my saddle position as I am experiencing back pains while riding and it feels much better now. They were also willing to change my pedals to clipless pedals, all these after service done at no cost! Thank you so much. Will be back in 3 months time as advised by Ryan so the mechanics will be able to tune and fix any alignment issues of my chain/shifting. Loving my bike so far and has traveled to places I never thought I could, while at the same time maintaining my fitness level! Just sharing some of the places I’ve been to with this bike so far through these photos! Undoubtedly has been a joy to ride with
Went there today to have brakes checked. It was a bit busy but they were organized in attending to people and the man (with glasses) who helped me was patient, friendly, and sorted out the problem quickly. Great first experience, I’ll be back!

This is a great bike place – run by the same owner for at least 30 years (I think). The service is great and the staff are professional and very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I’ve been there several times over the past 12 months for various things and they have always been very nice. If you want a friendly smile for a decent job – then you can’t go past this place.

I went there with my 4 year old Cannondale bike which needed some longer overdue servicing/repairs. I am by no means a bicycle expert so Ryan explained to me in detail all things which could be fixed without wanting to “sell” anything. Just highlighting the condition of the components.
I also found a decent selection of Merida and Cannondale bikes which looked to me reasonable priced.

I came in one day looking for a new saddle as my stock saddle on my bike was giving me issues. The young gentleman in the store attended to me and helped me understand what I was looking. I came back the next day with my bike so he could take a look at my current saddle so that he can have a better understanding on my pain. He recommended a ladies specific saddle for me which I bought. Best purchase I made for my bike ever. I went for a ride the next day and it was like a dream.
Sent my entry level hybrid bike for the first time for a maintenence check up and service. Nice clean shop with bikes n accessories neatly displayed. Shawn and team took the time to explain patiently the works and they answered all my questions. Would definitely recommend this bike shop for first timers like me! Keep up the good work guys!

Extremely pleasant customer service – Ryan and his team are extremely knowledgeable and attentive, especially when it comes to the nuances of Cannondale bikes! This is the type of service that even if it costs an arm and a leg (should your bike have something catastrophically wrong), you are more than willing to trust and pay them full price to make sure the job gets done well. Ever since I got my first bike, Merida Big 7 100 from Hup Leong, they have been my go to shop! Since then, I’ve gotten new bikes, but i still bring them to HL for the annual spa, or if anything is amiss.
I’ve tried other LBS since I’ve moved away from Chinatown, but none of those shops could solve my problems as accurately, and efficiently like HL does! Most times, I have to go to another LBS to get the matters sorted, and HL will always be the one who puts my bikes back into shape! Thanks Gilbert and team! Always good to know I have HL to rely on!

During phase 1 I had a puncture, I messaged them to purchase some tubes and they sent me two with the change tools to my home for free. They just wanted me to get back out cycling.
Today I took my bike in for a service in prep for a round the island. I was told a full service was not needed but they will do a safety check and changed my tires (long overdue) to ensure I have a safe and easier ride. They also explained how best to change my tire to avoid punctures or damage to the inner tube. These guys rock!
I love my bike and take excellent care of it and these guys just get it and do the same.

During circuit breaker, my bike chain had slipped off and I texted them, and they kindly advised me on how to fix it myself, which I thought was really going above and beyond.

A GOOD BIKE SHOP that worth travelling for a long distance to get a great job done.
It has been a fewwww years that I did not send my bike for repair at Hup Leong, because I am staying at Punggol and kinda farrrrr to travel to town just for the bike service, and also thought of supporting some neighbourhood bike shops and want to try somewhere nearer.
I have creaks on my MTB that bothered me for months, went to a few neighbourhood bike shops and recommended by the mechanic for drivetrain cleaning, chain and headset replacement BUT CANNOT SOLVE the problem. Some shops are don’t even bother to diagnose the problem (not sure if they do not know much or too busy and no time to help). Another worse part is, a shop that even installed a ROAD BIKE BB on my MTB (was told by Hup Leong).
So…. I was accompanied by my wife and friend cycled to Hup Leong got our bikes checked. Gillbert and his experienced team managed to diagnose my bike issues and solved the problems so quickly. Gilbert has even solved my friend’s bike issue within a few minutes and F.O.C.
I took a longer route and cycled back from China Town to Punggol and did not hear any creaks on my bike (Hooray..!). ISSUE SOLVED!
Their service is good, knowledgeable and the price is reasonable.
LESSON:
No matter how far the distance is, it is worth travelling to Hup Leong to get the bike fixed and done in a pro way. We will send our bikes to Hup Leong for service moving forward.

Shout out to Gilbert and team for their friendly and prompt service when I came by slightly after lunch time today (Christmas eve) to get a tire / inner tube problem resolved. Got a simple lesson on matching inner tune measurement with the tire (I’m using 30mm).

Today bought a Hybrid Bicycle for my Uncle from the Store with the help from Gilbert. He is a very friendly person and I also love the auntie and staff there who are very kind to us.
I will be waiting for the Merida Bike to be available on May which they will contact me once arrival.

Came to Hup Leong a number of times over the past few years to purchase lubricants, chains and other maintenance stuff, but never wrote a review because I’m lazy (d’uh sorry guys)
Came a few days ago to once again get bike maintenance stuff but also got myself a nice helmet that, as I found out as I was cleaning it, had a relatively subtle cosmetic defect with the paint-job.
Came back to the shop, their team attempted to fix the defect. When we all realized it couldn’t really be fixed, got a 1-for-1 exchange to a fresh one, no questions asked.
Existing service, friendliness and helpfulness is already a 5/5, but what happened today was some sort of magical cherry to top off the cake.
It’s very rare that a company treats its customers this way instead of trying to wiggle out with some excuses or ‘company policies’.

Honest about what I needed fixed on my bike. Fixed my bike in an hour. I think the price was fair.
I had a flat rear tyre and had to push my bike about 800m to Hup Leong. Upon arriving, I explained to the owner that I had just changed my inner tube with them about 2 months ago due to a puncture as well.
He then proceeded to do a thorough check as he said that getting a puncture again after just 2 months was unusual. The checks revealed that my outer tube had torn.
Unfortunately he did not carry the necessary parts to perform the repair. The bike for me is extremely important as I use it to commute to work and I was at a loss as I couldn’t leave my bike with Hup Leong since they couldn’t repair it. I also had no idea where to go.
What I really appreciated was when the owner suggested a shop (most likely a competitor) at Bugis that would carry the parts I needed. He suggested I book a larger Grab to transport my bike there. As I wasn’t confident that the Grab that I booked would fit my bike, I asked if he could just change my inner tube and I would attempt to cycle to Bugis slowly. He agreed and even got his staff to reinforce the area that was exposed at the area where the outer tyre was torn.
Thankfully I managed to make it to Bugis where I got my tyre changed.
To me, this was customer service that went above and beyond. I only paid $20 to change my tyre’s inner tube that day but that was truly an indelible experience. Throughout our interaction it was busy but he was patient in explaining why he could not help me. He offered an alternative solution to a pressing problem even though it involved me going to another shop. Thank you! Definitely my first choice for all my biking needs!

Got my road bike serviced here, price is very transparent. They even removed the rust on some bolts and put new rubbers on the kickstand. Bike’s now running extremely smoothly after servicing.

Was in Chinatown n drop by to see what they have in store n also looking for a bottle of general purpose lubricant for my bike. Walk-in.. totally ignored by the staff. The first staff that said something to me was ‘excuse me’..I was looking at a bike n he was shifting a bike to change parts n obviously he thinks that I am blocking him …stood there to Google what is the difference in the 2 type or oil I was looking at. Nobody bother. Until abt 15min later someone aske me..question? At least this guy was honest n advise me against getting the oil as they were not suitable. Maybe I just entered the store at the wrong time..all the ang mo before n after me all got attended to before someone finally attended to me.
Gilbert did a quick and accurate assessment of my road bike. He is certainly very knowledgeable. The charges were very fair. Extremely happy with the quality of the service and outcome of the job done. Many thanks. Highly recommend.

This shop was recommended to me by another reputable bike shop, I had an emergency issue with a major component on my bike, they checked it out, guided me in ordering the necessary replacement part, got the bike temporarily working and replaced the part as soon as it came in, despite always being very busy. They were super professional, helpful, and transparent at every step and extremely reasonable, i would highly recommend them for any level of bike service.

Did bike spa service here. They dialed ride into perfect shape. Fixed only what needed to be addressed. And threw in freebies to make the bike ride smooth (Shimano chain, derailleur wheels). Friendly, knowledgeable service. Worth it. My new go to home for maintenance in SG!

Ive been going to Hup Leong bike shop for years for servicing, tuning, general maintenance etc. Consistently impressed with the service provided by Gilbert and quality of workmanship.
You can definitely find cheaper parts on carousell but the after-sales service is excellent. I replaced my inner tube but pumped too much air which caused the tube to burst again. Went back a week later, the team there replaced the tube again for free and even advised me on proper tyre pressure for my specific wheelset.
Quite disappointed on the service on second visit. Wasnt informed what was done and what not. Ended up checking the fault myself); not worth
