I stopped by when I came to the nearby laundromat. As a traveler, I enjoyed it because it was full of locals. Not only was it inexpensive, but I was able to experience a different kind of fun than in the city. The food was delicious, too.In Japan, the taste of Fuji soba is the best.

A place where I would like to strongly comment on the western food uncle. At an old age and performing one man show, his still struggling to sell western food at 1990s price at $4.5 for a plate of chicken cutlet. When I got the chance to asked him why, he replied me humblely that if he increases the price, his regulars will be having a hard time. To be honest his food tasted amazing not only for the price. But also the way he cook it, with love for his customers that supported him. Do not expect it to come to u fast as u might have to wait as I mentioned his running the show alone. Do help him out by self servicing urself if u can. On some occasions I even offered to help him do waitering.

Dumpling soup is meaty and succulent. Both the roast duck and char siew were a little leaner than I prefer however – my favourite thing about the plate was the sauce. That said still enjoyable on a breezy morning, the friendliness of the cleaning uncles and aunties here was a pleasant surprise.

Food is fantastic 10/10 for char siew rice. From the meat to the rice and the chili, all taste above average. Only qualm is the service, where my order was overlooked, despite 3 repeated reminders (waited for like 30 minutes, instead of the usual 3-5 minutes). Char siew rice should be a quick grab and go meal since all the food were pre-cooked. Food portions have been getting smaller and smaller.

We always takeaway food from the ytf stall situated inside the coffeeshop due to convenience, however to our horror, we’ve found an ultra long whitish hair tangling with veggies inside the container! Think we shall re-consider the hygiene standards of this stall. Not to mention me witnessing the manager washing the sieve on the floor before boiling soup.

The place is popular and some tables are used by food sellers to store their belongings. Reduce space for service. You can sit in front or you can
sit at the side. Smoking area is marked out. Food variety is quite poor but you can go across the street to another Food court. Variety is limited. I guess only the estates residents use the facilities as it off the main Road along Lorong 1 or at the HDB hub. Good for a quick drink and low level service.

Convenience wise, this food centre being right above the Braddell MRT station is definitely helpful. They’re known for their roast duck and roast meat, but they also have a full suite of yong tau foo and bak chor mee that people come to them for. If you’re staying around the area and need some lunch fix, they’re great. If not, in all honesty, I won’t specially come here for meals.
