in the red light district but quiet and nice.
The hotel looks old but well maintained. Sheets and pillows have stains. A lot of hair left in the floor even though I have just checked in. Moderate price.
Nice hotel good ambience
I’ve enjoy staying here even it’s only for 2 days, the staffs are very friendly !’ Accommodating, and the location is nice , very near local food areas , bar and near land marks , I will definitely comeback here for my next Singapore tour …
Nothing much at the hotel, basically a place to stay, was meeting someone in one of the rooms, basic room with no frills, is smacked right in the red light district so ladies need to be aware just in case.
We had a nice one week stay at this hotel. Although not the best, it sure is a great catch at around INR 2.5k at which i booked. The area Geylang is absolutely safe as any other part of Singapore. Geylang road bus stop is just 2 minutes walk and Aljunied MRT station is 15 minutes walk which is quite convinient. There are plenty of eateries around. Internet speed is awesome and the room has a smart TV too. Overall value for money.
The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. A/C worked great, plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. Comfortable, warm bed. Strong wifi connection with individual connections for each room. Mini fridge was effective and clean. Staff was able to point us toward restaurants, gave instructions for the bus system, lent us an umbrella, offered late check out, called us a cab at one point, and even made change for us to use on the bus. The location is next to two main bus stops, offering easy access to downtown. I will warn that this is in the middle of the red light district and a woman staying alone may feel uncomfortable on the street in the evening. I was the only (non-working, if you know what I mean) woman in sight on the street in the evening when we walked back to our room for the night. But there are plenty of people and businesses around, so even then it felt public and safe. Overall the room was simple, inexpensive, and exactly what we hoped for.
I like staying here. It’s been my fave hotel every time I visit Singapore.
Good looking hotel right in the middle of the red light district of the city. But the area is quiet, so is the hotel. Really small rooms but clean and good design. 300 meters away from the train station that will take you to the most famous touristic spots of singapour. But the real advantage of this hotel is it’s low prices.
the room quite big. the price so reasonable. more clean than other hotel arround geylang.
Wonderful lodging, great support staff, clean quiet hotel with small but comfortable rooms!
Staff is uncooperative, even reception staff talk rudely what else you expect now from this hotel, rooms are small like when you enter inside they finish in front of you.
NOTE: For Bachelors this place is good as it’s in Red light area (Gaylang) of Singapore
Been staying here for 1/2 year, all good. Staff are ver friendly and helpful
A very good budget hotel!
This is a decent hotel if you consider the low prices. Ok location, about 10-15 min away from Aljunied station. The rooms are extremely small and the windows are not opening.
The windows don’t open. The redt is ok for the price.
Bit expensive. Not in a good neighbor hood. Wont recommend to families. Small bathroom.
Moderate size room with small tidy bathroom. Good for short stay..
Very good rooms. Good service. Can stay Short time..
Rooms are renovated and clean, not so big but with a coffemaker and little refridgerator. The street near the hotel looks like a little red Light district but it was ok for us, it feels really safe, also for women to be there
Shower really cannot make it. Strong water for hot water. Super super weak water for cold water. How to shower? Paid $90 for a night but cannot shower properly.
Good hotel
Small but clean..nice budget hotel.
Price is reasonable. 7mins walk to MRT station.
hotel is v clean, well designed & cozy despite located at red district area. not suitable for family with kids.
I left an earring in the hotel and they have asked me to organise a courier to send it to me even though on the phone I was told they would be able to send it to me themselves. Extremely unhappy to have to pay $65 dollars for one earring because they can’t be bothered to help out a PAYING customer.
Good clean hotel close (700m) from Aljunied MRT station.
Room 202 is haunted.
Not joking, just saw excuse when you enter the room. We forgot that step and I had a bad experience. However the reception was good, they didn’t even ask why we want to change room. They just change like they already knew what happened. 🙂
Clean and nice place to have a rest for.one night.
I was there to pickup a friends, the hotel located in a very convenient location, and easy to access to city area
Got 3 rooms for a trip for 5 people ordering all 2 twin rooms and 1 single but got only single rooms since apparently it’s only a request and that it doesn’t need to be fulfilled. My group is pretty heal cautious and we wanted rooms that don’t smell like cigarettes. 2 of the 3 rooms reaked with the smoke smell each time you go in. This is in the red light district which is a downside for me as well. I strongly discourage people to stay here especially without a gym or fitness area. The rooms are also incredibly small.
Good hotel, nice room, value for money
Had a good stay in this budget hotel for 2 nights. The check-in process was swift and so as checking-out. The room given to me was clean; however, there were some hairs in the toilet and dust and tiny garbage under the bed. The hotel’s …
Very good to stay. & very polite people
Always affordable client take me there
Good value for your money.. near a lot of restaurants and a 7Eleven
Only drawback is the location in the redlight area.
Otherwise, property delivers whatever is promised. Clean room, good service, well behaved staff…all nice.
The room is very clean, good services and completed amneties
Hotel 81 premier star is a good place to crashed. Nice welcoming environment. The staff have a grade A services. Im very happy with the friendly and welcoming services. The location however was in the middle of the red light district. But that doesnt stop us from coming. I like coming back to the hotel as the room was super nice. Amazing ambients. Soft beds. But the toilet in d room abit small. This is and always be my favorite hotel.
Convenient rooms equipped with necessary facilities at affordable rates but a little bit far from the center. Staff is not very friendly.
There are small rooms and then there are very small rooms
The front desk are friendly the room are clean and price are reasonable.
Nice room, clean room and toilet….good stay….
Very decent hotel located right in Singapore’s red light district area. ~10 mins walk from Aljuined on the MRT green line.
Pros:
– Good value for money (cheap and decently close to city center)
– Hotel room itself is clean and well maintained, service is good
– Shower in particular is fantastic (water pressure, temperature), great after a day out in SG
Cons:
– Is located on (not around, literally ON) the red light district; right across the street from the hotel are some choice establishments. I wouldn’t call it unsafe as I was able to walk from station to hotel regularly at night with no worries, but you could probably get similar value-for-money rooms if you’re willing to travel further on the MRT every day.
Giving 5 stars as I think the hotel room itself was great but your mileage may vary.
Do not stay this hotel.Very rude counter staff & chambermaids.
Noisy in passageway, rooms not sound proof, you get disturbed sleep and noise from chambermaids who make alot of noises cleaning neighbour rooms, poor staff training.Chambermaids enter room even when cleaning not requested & even when a DO NOT DISTURB sign tag was hung outside.Do not keep valuables in room!Happened again & again.Staff argued with guest even when they are at fault, even to the extent of threatening to fight the guest.Worst hotel in Geylang area.
This hotel is located at red light street not suitable for those with young kids. The hotel is super clean with decent price.
urban area room.is nice service is good
One of the hotel that has cheap room rate in Singapore
Great Service, Nice clean & modern rooms ! Very good location !!
Well priced hotel, right in middle of a red light street, but it is all very discreet. Some effort been made with decor on a Japanese theme which is nice for a budget place. Location handy to Al Juneid station and lots of affordable coffee houses and cafes around. A good choice for the budget traveller.
It’s an average place to stay
Location was good despite the fact that it was in thered light district..
I’m giving 3 stars only because the room was clean, AC was working nicely, it was a bit walking distance from MRT and bus stop was 2 minutes away. Now the room was soooo small and it was having wash basin in the room. The bathroom was so smal that I was not even able to fit in that bathroom properly. The hotel is not good for family as there are 2 hours and 3 hours couple everywhere who come to enjoy the room for some time. The soundproofing of the room was so bad that even when anyone is walking outside the room you can hear that and in the night I can clearly hear sounds from my next room. Overall I will not recommend to stay here and they say these are budget hotels but it was completely out of budget when they ask you to pay more tax at the check-in time.
Our room smelled like cigarettes for the whole 3 days stay, the location is the worse as it is near a very inappropriate place, the good thing about it is there is a near bus station. We asked for a car to pick us to the airport and although we told them how many bags we had they got us a very small car that some of us had to take the bus, the bathroom is super small that you have to get into the shower so that you can close the door and if you are a huge person, you can’t close the door.
The rooms are very small but meet all the needs. Close to the MRT so easy access to everything in the city. Close to red light district so probably not suitable for families South children.
Room is very nice but location is not good.
The room is not so big like my country, but it’s cheaper and clean for resting. All stuff in the room are enough; hair dryer, locker, hanger, soap & champoo, toothbrush, TV etc. There are a lot of people reserve here.
You get what you pay for. The sink didn’t drain much and I complained but they just said small pipe and refused to do anything about it. Room is small but then again you get what you pay for.
Good value hotel in the red light district near the Aljunied MRT stop. Rooms are clean. Hotel is located near many restaurants.
200-300 m from bus stop, There are 2 bus stop near here. The room was clean, bathroom was too narrow for me, but the staff are friendly, thanks. Its located right in front of red area, but still quiet in the night.
Such a big wow for a 2-star hotel. Everything is clean, modern. The room is small but comfortable. Better than most of the budget hotels out there.
Very smelly hotel, full smoking smell.
Was good and staff was friendly and generous and kind …
Hotel was was in good condition and the room was clean but a little small. staff was helpful and allowed to check in 4 hours ahead of time. location is pretty good only a few minutes walk from the nearest metro station (MRT).It’s located …
Great place, especially for the money. Modern, clean and good staff
Really small, can hear every noise, even the sound of…unwanted stuffs from the other rooms. Unidentifiable tiles for the bathroom. Lobby is filled with strong, weird scent… why, why!??
It was a good hotel to stay, very clean and tidy. Personally would like to commend hotel staff hakim, Ghazmiv and winson for doing a great job and good service. Thank you!
I love in the hotel for 4 days.
They do not allow us to stay more then 3 hours. I requested by they deny. Its bad experience!
It is a budget hotel. Small room with a window. Place is well maintained and very clean. The toilet is bit too small and hard to move around in.
Nice and ample space room. Very friendly staff
Far from city center, should think about 10~20sdg/time moving by taxi from this location to city center. Bus or MRT is also a choice. Room is small and nice, clean, good service.
Clean and nice room. Easy access to food and to public transportation. Very happening places at night.
Just 2 stars
Only 2 minutes walk to the bus stop, a bit further for MRT (approximately 10 minutes slow walking). The room is clean and comfortable. Services are awesome! I called at 12 to ask for early check-in and they said yes without hesitation! Well-prepared staff also helped me fix the sink right away at 11 PM! Highly recommend if you are budgeted travelers but don’t want to stay in dorms.
During the stay , i was been serve by thienesh faiz n hakim both of them are friendly n helpful with their professionalism them help me … I feel happy during my stay …
Look good but dirty and there is red-light district
Very clean and comfortable room…price at $15 /hrs…
Very nice budget hotel. The room is very clean and neat.
The hotel is fine in some sort, but it is located near the “red light” district of Singapore. Unless you really want to enjoy that, I suggest avoiding book here!
Some are in good locations. Please check the location/ surroundings before booking.
Great little budget hotel, walkable from Aljunied MRT, good food court nearby..
Is a good deal in an expensive city. Small with only the basic things: a bed(is comfortable) and a restroom to take a shower, that’s it. If you are looking for luxury or amenities this is not your place
Very nice hotel room very cleaning good price
Love the new concept design. the service above my expectation!
Cheap and really good. Considered really clean. Lacking a bathtub but the showerhead feels good otherwise.
Typical Budget hotel for tourists. Mostly located close city centres. Convenient location.
Room very small. Convenience eatery around the corner
i just need a place to sleep after a long night out, came to this place.I wasn’t expecting much on budget hotel,
I’m impress with the cleanliness of the room, the lobby is simple & clean, staff is very nice & helpfull, even lend me a phone charger. Little thing made a difference.. definitely I’ll come back again.
Very clean hotel. The problem is that is imposible to sleep on the night. Daily up to 03 am full noise from trash people.
Room is clean.wifi is good. But sometimes voice is rather noisy. And there is not body soap in the room , just toothbrush and shampoo are supplied.Hotel is near subway station ,and are lot of restaurants around the hotel.
Fair hotel. Sits next to about 20 brothels, not ideal to stay here is you have young ones.
With the promo price that I got, surprisingly the hotel is quite tidy, clean and the front office service is good.
Cheap room rates and decent rooms.
Affordable and great location in the middle of the city. They offer hourly rates as well as overnight. Room is a little small, but looks nice and has all basic amenities.
Really nice hotel and comfortable stay
On the outside looks like any other hotel. However the interior has been recently refurbished to a high standard.
Elegant and tasteful lobby and rooms. Feels quasi Scandinavian cum Japanese.
Rooms well equipped with fridge, large safe suitable for laptops, hair dryer etc. Large sink outside shower room is a smart move.
Excellent TV that even has Fox Movies. All channels crystal clear.
Space in room adequate for one person staying for quite a few days. For 2 people, large enough for short stay unless you have a lot of luggage.
Strong stable Wi-Fi.
Great staff.
Excellent location, close to stop for buses going west along Geylang Road and east along Guillemard Road.
8 minutes walk to Mountbatten MRT station for Circle Line. Also walkable to Aljunied MRT for East West Line, but about 15 minutes.
2 suggestions:
Improve quality and comfort of bed linens – Fragrance hotels are MUCH nicer bed sheets and pillows.
Outdoor seating like Fragrance hotels nearby all have would go a long way towards a more complete guest experience.
Apart from that, exceptionally good!
We stayed here six nights , easy to find food, convenient store and bus station near by and MRT station is about 10 mins walk
Not all the hotel staffs are friendly
The rooms are quite small just good for 2 person. The room rate is reasonable.
Overall rooms are clean except one of our rooms have urine smell
I would recommend this hotel to friends and family
Great Hotel clean tidy, no food but plenty in the area of a much darker lively area of Singapore
Good budget hotel, but the guests staying there are all very rude and loud. Could not sleep until 2 am because a few people decided to speak loudly in the hallway and smash their room doors. The hotel staff needs to keep a policy to control the quite hours
In front of RED DISTRICT area , if you come for holiday , i think this place not suitable .
A lot of bugs in the towel , pillow not really good , blanket also not really good .
But if you lookin for cheap hotel , this is one of .
One of the better Hotel 81 I have resided in. Very well furnished in Japanese (wood) theme, clean and pleasing to the eyes. Currently staying long-term here, the surrounding establishments provide lots of dining/ grocery options, especially late into the night.
Gave four out of five stars due to their hectic business over weekends and some weekdays, missing out our (fixed) schedule for housekeeping. However, this is not a big issue as I can remind them at the front desk to make up my room the following day. Sink drainage has been slow since my first day of accommodation, but solvable with a little patience.
Overall, a very welcoming and straightforward experience. No issues with amenities, pest, (excessive) noise.
Nice hotel. Good wifi
The room was well kept and large. Customer service at check-in was great. When I informed the reception on the second day that the safe had a low battery, she asked if I needed to use the safe. The hotel is located right on the red light district strip. Overall, it is good value for the accommodation except for its location
Room is good but too small
Smack in the heart of Geylang a Tip Top hotel that serves guests from all over the world. Clean and well priced affordable for the weary traveler. Nice good natured Staff has a smile for everyone. Great place to stay overnight or a dew days.
Room relatively small typical singapore. Very clean, need to add soap and tissue.
Location in front of red area. Many food hall surrounding. Wifi ok
Hotel was very nice and clean. staff was friendly. And hotel has nearby shop also. Value to money hotel
Room is very small but for me and a friend was enough we just sleep there and rest of the day we were out so we didn’t mind small room. Room was clean and I have nothing to complain about. Receptionist are good they help you when you check in and you get a welcome letter Neighborhood is quiet even if they have some “massage” activities across the street.
Very good service, friendly staff and helpful. The rooms were pretty good and the cost very reasonable.
Hotel Room is Quiet Small but Nice and Clean, Receptionists are good in English.
Easy to reach from anywhere (MRT, Bus, Walking).
Tons of food, gift shop, night entertainment near the hotel
Cheap hotel with decent interior. Not that far away from 2 metro stations. Pretty good choice for that money in Singapore.
Nice place to stay in. Spacious and good air-conditioning. Nearby food stalls available
Good price and not too far from the MRT. The staff were friendly but the room was very small and the floor felt a little tacky. They did allow us to leave our luggage all day for our midnight flight out, though, which was nice.
Good place to accomodate. around 800 meters to nearest MRTstation.
Rooms are very small but economical.
Nce hotel but there is option to choose smoking and no smoking rooms while booking in online,so I choosed smoking room but actually thy don’t allow to smoke…we disappointed
good location for massage and food
Good good. After 25th Christmas will come support H81. Patrick & team, my favourite
Very bad WiFi connection in the room Walls are extremely thin and so there is a LOT of noise thoughout the evening, night and early in the morning. You can hear other people pee, brush their teeth… The room smells awefull! As if someone smoked in it. The shower smells as bad… Half a bottle of eucalyptus oil couldn’t mask the smell… Easy access to public transport For the record $65 per night

I found it good, courteous staff, nice rooms. Overall I would recommend it!
THE MOST BAD SERVICE OR I COULD SAY THE MOST BAD PLACE IN SINGAPORE.
Hope other people think thrice before book here, very bad service from the receptionist.
I book for 2 nights and only can hold to stay just for 1 day due to very small room, bad smell, bad service from the receptionist.
I ask to refund for the second night, at first they agree, once i wait for 11 working days as they promise, they said cannot approve due to policy hotel. I keep on follow up with them and threat to give bad review. They don’t care. So here you go. Trust me, you will regret if you stay in this hotel.
Very disappointing. We were supposed to check in at this hotel to rest, however one of their staff went inside our room to fix the vault which i think is not urgent. We were sleeping but he insisted to fix it. He could’ve done it before we checked in or after check out.
Ambience looks relatively clean but no one would mistake it for a high class establishment
nice location nearby market and public transportation
Small rooms but the service is really good.
Very convenient transport near by.
Friendly helpful staff
Nice hotel to spend one or two nights. A bit far from the centre of Singapore, but 10 minutes walking away from the metro that takes you directly. The rooms are not very big, but they are clean and have everything you can ask for one or two nights.
i just love how clean and neat it is, everything seems really compact in a small room (including the bathroom. actually, the lobby too) but bcs im not that tall and big i don’t really mind it. they don’t have any food services but i got some pretty good and halal meal just right by walking down the street. good place to take a good sleep as my first time in singapore 😀
Even though the location is in a red light district area the hotel was elegant and the district “services” were not on display on the street the way you`d presume but was actually a normal looking neighbourhood. Therefore i’d recommend it to any groups travelling. There isn’t much to see nearby but taxis and grab drivers arrived there fast and the nearest MRT was within reasonable distance. The spaces are not large though. The lobby and rooms are just enough. Not really a place to hang out but the rooms are nice for resting before going out to see the city again.
The room is clean and walking distance to food stalls 7-11and public transport (bus)
Hotel 81 Premier Star has a slightly bigger room than Premier Hollywood, but the sheer lack of bench space for even a laptop makes this hotel very inappropriate for a lower budget business traveler. Internet is consistently below 10mbps from my room specific wifi router, which is pretty slow considering Singapore’s typically fast internet. Other than that, no other complaints really.
The room is nice clean and cozy.. just the bathroom is small.. higher than my expectation ! Overall its good !
It’s okay for travelling in Singapore on a budget. We stayed for 4nights. Daily room cleaning. Close to metro station but very noisy hotel! You can here people talking next door and all other sounds people make at night while in bed. Yeah, exactly!
Beware, this is in the red lights district. It’s not dangerous but it’s good to know.
It’s my pleasure to be here to see such beautiful people.Nurhakim is showing his best customer service and he provides some amazing place for visiting food. Room is so comfy. And Thienesh is providing the greatest person and value the 5 star for this hotel. I would like to come back for staying here if I could come back for another visiting .Thank you everyone from hotel 81 premier star
There 1 time I wanted to stay 1 day , they wanted to change me per hour rate.
Value for your money accomodation!
Things inside room are function well and properly planned. Only not familiar with how to adjust its air-conditioning. Lift makes noise during operation.
Good location, clean room, especially the cheap room rate.
Fantastic for business travels, though not recommended for family trips. Red Light district but very safe. Nearby food spots are awesome, cheap with enormous options.
I would stay here for trips up to 4 days, any longer I would choose places with larger rooms.
It is clean and the staff is helpful. But the rooms were a bit smelly. Be aware that it is located in red light district, but it is not disturbing.
Nice clean rooms, small, but has a washbasin in room, instead of toilet
Room was better than expected. Recommended as long as you don’t mind it’s near a red-light district. Not too far walking to MRT stations.
love the room. bigger then some other hotel81. clean and spacious. would love to come back. near sleazy area but im cool with it.
Everything is good
I am Happy with them.
Good location and reasonable price , room small
Nice Hotel i like this place
Nice and clean place…i was live there for 3 nights and is ok 10min from train station
Worst hotel I’ve ever been too. First guy at reception who greeted us was friendly and helpful. Reception area looked clean and had a nice smell as you walked in. Unfortunately that was it.
On to the rooms. 1st room we were given reeked of urine. The strong smell was coming from the toilet. Also looked as if the room wasn’t cleaned at all from the toilet to the floor. We went back to reception to report the problem. The first guy at reception apologised and sent the cleaner up to the room. The only thing the cleaner did was spray the toilet with air freshener. He then said ‘if you have any problems call reception’ and left.
After that was done we went to buy some drinks from the convenience store to the left as you exit the hotel. Back in the room we put the drinks in the mini fridge and noticed the fridge was barley cold. Tried adjusting the knob in the fridge to no avail. The knob was broken.
I was on my hands and knees trying to check the fridge when I noticed a condom wrapper under the bed. I went straight to reception and requested a new room. A new guy was at reception and looked at me and said ‘what do you want, you want us to clean the room’. With all this constant back and forth the lady at the other end of the reception already set up a new room for us.
Unfortunately the 2nd room was no better. Floor mat wasn’t even vacuumed, hairs all over the floor, under the bed was filthy and boogers on the wall.
I would avoid this place at all costs. Also place is in the red light district and didn’t appreciate the hollering and whistles as me and my wife walked back to the hotel at night.
First 5 pics was of the first room
Second 5 pics was of the second room
Small rooms but very clean and nice. 5 min walk to metro. Street with sex workers
A cheap and small room for 2. Bathroom is really tiny but clean. Room floors could be cleaner, not washed before our arrival and any time during our 3 nights stay.
Service is nice and helpful
Awesome place. The staff are really good, super clean and modern, I will definitely stay here again.
Good
I love this place so much! First, the price is cheap. Second, the place is comfy and aesthetic. Third, the room so clean! ️
cheap and clean. location is nice, near transportation buses and trains, near food corners
Best and premium hotel in the tallest building in Vietnam. Everything is 6 stars.
The hotel itself was good, but it is located in a redlight district so it is quite dangerous for women travelling without men bc you will be catcalled a lot.
Clean…renovated…good location…good price.
Great value for such an expensive city. Modern, clean design and perfect for a pre flight overnight stay.
Small but clean room. Price is acceptable As compared to the prices of Singapore.
Great hotel at an excellent price!
EXCEPT FOR BEING A SMALL ROOM I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT HOTEL. YOU HAVE TO TELL THE TAXI DRIVER EXACTLY WHICH ONE YOU WANT TO GO TO BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF HOTEL 81s AND EACH ONE HAS A NAME ON THE END OF THE HOTEL 81. MINE WAS HOTEL 81 PREMIERE STAR. JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET THAT LAST PART RIGHT.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
Friendly staff. Very Clean. Great value
Easy locate cheap transist hotel
Good hotel at Singapore, if it will be no problem for you that you will stay inside of red light zone I suggest this good place.
My room smelled like smoke: it was long and stressful to have it changed.
Had to meet a business associate at the lobby. Nice decor. Clean well maintained. That’s all I can say.
Good accomodation, friendly staff, and nice room with wifi and free breakfast and water bottle.
Located in red light city which is not recommended for family with kids.
Food= with free breakfast but some of our foods are not in good conditions.
Budget hotel with very limited facilities. No restaurant so no breakfast in hotel.
Very clean and friendly hotel well situated with easy bus access to the city and 2 MRT stations about 10 minutes away. The room itself was a bit small and a bit difficult to pray. There was no arrow on the ceiling to show the direction of Kiblat although a member of staff was quick to assist. My room had a small refrigerator and a lockable safe box as well as a good flat screen TV with a fair range of chanels and good quality picture, also tea/coffee making facilities. All in all good value from this budget hotel.
I recommend, the price quality value is good.
Still waiting my room to get make up from Morning with my bin full of trash
Nice and clean room. Minimal amenities for use
I’m very satisfied for the front liner services.. They are very professional, always smiles, Warm greet at every meet up the guest.
Love it!
Budget hotel. Room is cozy but small. Air-con not so cool.
Not Good Behaviour To Clients
Abit dusty.
Very good lobby service and clean rooms!
Just a chain hotel surrounded by red light district
Rooms are clean, comfy bed, limited channrls ontv, air-conditioning and wifi is good, bathroom is a little small, toilet has no bidet.
Really good hotel for affordable price but are is not suitable for womens and children
Try to clean up properly, thank you
Good apparently for this price in this insanely expensive city. Room small, not suitable for XXL people, especialy the cell type bathroom. Very good internet, comfortable bed, good shower!
I stayed there for 3 nights. Rooms though clean but small. Bathroom was also too small even that washbasin was fitted in the room. Budget hotel.
Good room with limited facilities.
Good to stay at night. Can give more tea or coffee bags.
Set in the red light district, and unbeknown to myself (apparently), this hotel is very basic and swarming with men at night.
If you are looking for cheap (or paid fun) then this is the place to stay.
Quickly moved on to a better hotel in a nicer area.
Good customer service with cheap places to eat around the hotel.
I am extremely disappointed by this hotel because of their bad customer service. We checked in this week Saturday for 8 nights until Sunday the next week. An emergency within the family happened and we had to check out already on Sunday noon after staying only for one night. I talked too three different staff at the reception and they all confirmed that it will be possible to get a refund (or partial refund) even tho my booking is normally not eligible for refund. However they told me it cannot be done by them, but instead I have to talk to Agoda (website where I booked the hotel) and then Agoda will contact them and take care of this. I contacted Agoda, Agoda contacted the Hotel 81, but Hotel 81 changed their mind and they told Agoda there will be no refund at all. So now I am paying 7 nights fully, while I do not even stay there. They could have at least refunded for the resources they save due to my absence. Also it’s a shame that they just told me something at the reception to get rid of me and then later changed their minds!
I am extremly disappointed that there is no goodwill gesture in case of an emergency. I would have expected more from a serious and legit Hotel chain in Singapore.
As for price, rooms are ok, very small but will do for couple days. It’s quite far from MRT and Old Airport Road Hawker and generally, neighborhood isn’t very pleasant. There are food courts and groceries closer, but I wouldn’t eat there again
Small rooms, very small bathroom. Was clean, smelt very damp and musty. Staff are nice
The pictures made the room look a lot bigger than it was. But the customer service was second to none, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Definitely would stay here again.
Just ok room for a night stay, everything else is minimal
It’s very bad Hospitality, No washroom at the check in early, no human courtesy shown as arrived TODAY at the reception,.
Hotel is very poor, there is a Chinese is like the so-called leadership, medium height, a little white hair, the Chinese attitude is very bad, very cow force feeling, a see be batting practice, the foreigner wants to return to, the hotel …
Very conveniently located. Very nice staff
Nice room but far from MRT and night walking a little bit scare
Budget hotel. Rooms are decent size compared to others in Singapore. Location is not too good. Geylang area.
But bus stand is just a 50m walk. Didn’t try the MRT so don’t know where the closet one is.
Nice hotel. It was much better than I expected. Location is not so convenient, since it’s far from mrt. I had a good one night stay here.
Renovated. Japanese theme But note the vices directly ourside
Nice room with reasonable price but a little small
Basic Hotel. Clean, reasonably priced (for Singapore!), helpfull staff and relatively near bus stops and al junied mrt station. Down side is its distance from city center and the fact that it is located in a red lyt district.
Simple, clean rooms with everything you need (soap, toothbrush, bottled water) for a short stay. Rooms are small but well maintained.
Efficient and friendly 24h service.
Nearby several 24h food courts.
Room looks spacious on pics but really tiny in reality. Loc is 15mins walk from Aljunied.
The room is Clean.Hotel staff are friendly, nearby public transport like bus station local food just walking distance 7-11 walking distance only
Nice Boinking experiences. Super memorable hotel. Come here for 2h sessions. Discreet too.
Value for the money you pay. And the hotel situated in a convenient place for public transportation. Only few minutes walking for public transportation
Ok hotel. You get what you pay for. Not ideal for light sleepers as walls are paper thin and other hotel guests have zero regard for noise levels when shambling across the hallways
The Family room was good, but the bathroom is too small for a family with children
“Red lights” all around thats why its so cheap…
A small room but clean and have everything that we need (soap, toothbrush, towel)
Found this hotel at night and booked the room just totally for sleep. The room is clean, service is good. But for me, it’s little bit pricey
Good and clean hotel
Good hotel I booking by agoda. Stay 3 nights 2 person room was clean service is good, Don’t worry it safety for you when you walk on street. Easy to buy food and walk a cross road you can buy cheep thing in big supermaket.
Very pleasent stay of 4 nights, convenient to eat and move around. Godd location and friendly staff.
The rooms were quite boring and weren´t attractive. The hotel is located in a red light district and this was noticeable. The personnel was pretty distant.
But besides that the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was fine. We were here for just one day and this was good enough for us.
Really nice hotel, very easy to find from the metro station. The staff are really friendly, I arrived early and they let me check in at 11 with no extra charge. And the rooms are really comfortable. I recommend this hotel.
Thank you to Faiz Hakim and Thienesh for the wonderful service that you have provided me during my stay !
staff are very accomodating, hotel is very clean and over all value for money.
It was a good hotel to stay, very clean and tidy. Personally would like to commend hotel staff Patrick, hakim and Faiz for doing a great job. Thank you!
Good hotel. Be aware that it is located in the red light district
My room is 8F. The view is normal. We don’t have shampoo and wearing. We have dryer and towel.
Simple rooms but a good night sleep and close to public transport. Great for the price.
The place is clean, safe, and has nice staff. My friends and I enjoyed staying there.
■Good Price for common room, promotion for member $60 for 1 night.
■Room clean, Design for room is nice altough is small
■But the only thing is the hotel receiptionist is RUDE!!very bad experience altought She very fast response and good sales after knowing that we have tis bajet concern by offer the lower price room.Furthermore, she never tell us the room is with two single bed room altought knowing that we are couple
Spoil the mood with tis kind of service.
Clean and comfortable. Price is really OK.
A place where you feel it’s like ur own home… wonderful management… wonderful staffs too…
The hotel room was clean and the staff were lovely, the location was ok. Biggest issue was a complete lack of sound proofing. The walls are paper thin and I didn’t get a single good night’s sleep because you could literally hear people 3 or 4 rooms down having a conversation. Also the room was poorly designed. For example- the sink is in the bedroom to save space but there’s no guard or anything to divide the space so water splashes into the room. The toilet door opens inwards and brushes against the toilet so if you want to get out you have to stand in the shower to open it or straddle the toilet. The shower head was cheap and flew out of the cradle if you put it on full pressure do you had to have a super weak shower if you didn’t want to hold it the whole time
Small room. Good price hotel in singapore, friendly staff. And only about 5-10 minutes to Merlion by taxi or bus
The rooms were quite small but it meets your needs. It has a queen size bed, a safe, a sink, air conditioning, a tv with an attached smart tv option for YouTube viewing with a remote control, free fast WiFi for the room, hot and cold water for showers, a toilet, a fridge, a hair dryer, 2 towels, 2 pillows, free shampoo and body wash, an electric kettle for coffee, and curtains for the one window. The toilet does not come with a bidet only a tissue dispenser near it.
Overall, the room does its job as a place to sleep while you’re on vacation. The hotel is located in the red light district though for those who wanted to know or who are interested, you can sample the local Chinese and Singaporean just at the corner.
Its nice place to stay. The rooms are too small.. like only has space to walk through for 1 person. But amazingly it has all facilities that we needed. Not that bad..
Hotel 81 is quite a good Hotel, cheap and affordable the service is good and the front table working person is also very friendly, I would surely recommend my friends to stay there
