It was my worst experience of staying in this hotel. The some of staff are very rude. Rooms not clean washrooms not maintained. Even taps have leakages. I request for early check-in before do booking. Nd when i reach there they have available room bt still didn’t give. Nd ask me to pay for that. Very highly disappointed with this hotel. . I’ll never recommend anyone to go there

This hotel is very strategically located, located on Kitchener Road and near SM Farrer Park MRT. On the other side, you’ll find City Mall… so if you’re looking for easy food, there are lots of choices from KFC, MCD, etc. typical Singaporean food. And it’s also very close to the MRT station, in the basement of the city mall, if you go to the MRT, it’s really easy. Well, the hotel is pretty good, it’s the same class as jasmine hotels in Indonesia. But the breakfast isn’t great. I think I’ll get hotel-style breakfast in Indo , continental or whatever. But there’s only rice + anchovies. Yes, the breakfast that I enjoy is rice wrap which only contains rice + fried anchovies + chili sauce… Not in the mood for a breakfast haha. But fortunately it’s near the mall, I’m looking for it the food there even though the price is pretty decent if it’s in rupiah

Really small rooms. staff is rude. not helpful at all. Keep your valuables with you when you are out of the room! Faulty washrooms. the water heater wasn’t working most of the time. The air conditioner’s temperature cannot be adjusted. it Doesn’t worth the price we paid for. Use a hostel rather than this hotel. I will not recommend this place, even to an enemy.

In Singapore a good (and one of the cheapest) options for a few days. The room and bathroom was very small and didn’t have a window. It was quite dirty, but didn’t smell bad. The AC was centralized, so you couldn’t control it in your room which was a minus point for us. However, a very very good location in little India and the service was good. They made our bed every day, filled up water and were very friendly.

Electric Kettle but no Tea or Coffee bags given. I paid S $ 80/- per night but advanced booking but later they dropped below S $ 50/- for Agoda. It’s a reasonable price considering the Location.

A budget hotel that fits in your pocket, for an additional person in one room, you are charged half the price of the hotel price per night, for example, the price of a hotel for 2 people is 500 thousand, then for an additional person it is charged 250 thousand / night. It’s very close to the Mustafa center, where you can eat souvenirs like chocolate and it’s open 24 hours.

This is the worst hotel I ever have in Singapore. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with terrible experiences.
    1. I cannot control the Air Conditioner since it is centrally controlled. As the result, it is so cool in the room.
    2. There is no plug in bathtub resulting the water flows away. As the result, we cannot use the bathtub. It is useless.
    3. The bed is not made of sponge. The bed is covered with very HARD plastic that will give you MORE pain during bed rest and in the morning. This is very bad amenity.
    4. This is the worst service in this hotel. The receptionist is very rude, especially the middle-aged woman receptionist. She talked to me without looking at me with high tune. It s very rude attitude when talking to the customer.
Overall, this hotel service is very terribly bad. The only plus point for this hotel is the price that is reasonably cheap (not too cheap). You can get another better hotel with better amenities and service by paying little more money, but it is worthy.

I’m NO. sorry, I think this is not a hotel but more to an inn. Indeed, I ordered the no window because it was only for transit before the next flight. The price is cheap, only 565 thousand (ordered by Traveloka). From the outside, you can see how gt entering the reception lobby there is a strange smell. Entering the elevator, the dust is really heavy. Got the 4th floor. Exiting the elevator, wow, it’s getting messy and the dust is still very strong. Entering the room is also like gt (especially the message with no window, ouch, you can imagine it), the air conditioner can’t adjust the temperature either. Ky is a permanent AC and there’s no remote. As a result, from checking in until 11 pm I spent time outside because I didn’t feel comfortable at the hotel. So I can go straight to sleep and the next day’s flight. No more staying here
If the location is okay. Close to City Square Mall and Farrer Park MRT Station (the road is pretty good for Indonesians)

Had a very bad experience at this hotel. The receptionists were rude and we had to beg for the routine coffee packets and water bottles that ought to be provided for the guests per room per day. They had a post saying that smoking is prohibited and violators are punishable by law but the corridors stinked like a “Smoking room”. One of the receptionists even asked us to file a complaint to the Police if we “feel” that the corridors were stinking of burnt up tobacco.

The only pro of this hotel is its locality. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of Indian restaurants and is just 100m away from Farrer Park MRT.

Would like to thank them for accomodating us and I regret to say their ratings may spiral down further if they don’t improve their services.

the worst that i have been.! unfriendly staff. rooms were dirty. the worst part was there were cockroaches. luckly they changed the room. but it it wasnt better. the toilet was so bad. if you flush the toilet, water would leak out. grossss.! we used the toilets in a mall nearby. the bathtub was so dirty. showering was hell. no showercurtains. the mirrors were so dirty from the previous guests. towels were from an other hotel. the floor was so dirty we had our shoes on. i put a blanket (from home)on the bed. most rooms without window. feels like jail. the a/c was working nonstop. so cold in the room. i slept with a sweater. cant turn it off. hotel is for sure not like in the pictures. i had to rate because otherwise i cant comment. not even worthy for a star. too expensive for this kind of “cheap”hotel.!

Just win at the location, which is near the Mustofa Center & MRT station. The building is minimalist.
For service & hotel comfort, it’s normal. Free WiFi & water heater facilities.
There is a bath tub but the hole valve is taken (perhaps to save water because the cost of water in Singapore is said to be expensive).
There are only 3 TV channels (and even then local).
Maybe the building needs to be redone because it looks outdated.

Stayed in February 2019. Stayed for 3 days. Value for money for Singapore is quite at the level. Across the road is a shopping center with a supermarket and a metro station, which was the decisive factor when choosing a hotel.

Stay here for 3 days 2 nights, here is a low budget hotel in my opinion, strategic location, from Changi Airport move the MRT to Tanah Merah, then continue the MRT towards Tuas Link and get off at Bugis MRT after that move the MRT again to Bukit Panjang and get off at Little India after that, move the MRT again to Punggol and get off at Farrer Park, then take exit H, enter City Square, take the escalator 1 floor, look for Rubi Shop and there is an exit door, outside the cross door meet hotel 165. Near mustafa center, exit the hotel to right, go straight a little to the right again, just go straight until you reach the Mustafa Centre.

Weaknesses are that the hotel is not clean, the air conditioner is central air conditioning, the cleaning room is slow and long, there is no room tag containing don’t disturb or please clean room

Near MRT Farrer Park (exit H or I) and Mustafa Center (only 2 mins walk). Beside the hotel, there is food court about S$5/meal. Chinese food, Indian, Indonesian food.

The hotel is worth the price even for the No Window room because we only stay for sleep. The bathroom has wastafel, wc, and bath ub. It is clean.

To be put in my ‘never-go-there-again’ list. First I booked it after considering their rates and facilities (room with bathtub). I am fully aware that this hotel is a budget hotel. First time I arrived, met with unfriendly receptionist. Young boy. But that’s okay I don’t mind at first. Then went to our room at level 5, a non-window room with shower and bathtub. Went straight to the toilet and check, it’s a dwarf-size Bathtub, has no sink block, can’t fill up the bathtub with hot water (hot only for shower), and weird tasted water. Yeah, still okay. But the last thing that made me give this hotel a big NO was my mattress. It’s a damn hard-surface plastic bed, that you can’t barely get any good rest. Ended up with me having backache and stiff neck. I got zero information about this fact.

You get what you pay for. It was clean and the staff was prompt and attentive. Definitely a step and a half up from a hostel environment, but if you are Western and havent lived in Asia then this may not be for you.

I made reservation to Hotel 165 for short stay for long layover in Singapore. The receptionist told me that it allows only 2 people, and insists I pay $35.00 more for my 15 year old child although I was clear that the room is used for shower and change. I ended up paying full price for the room and extra $35 for the child for less than 4 hour stay in this place. The room was tiny, and did not have soap, shampoo etc, small towel was worn out.
I would not suggest this hotel for families and ones who want to relax because (I) Customer services is worst (women was very rude), (ii) Rooms are tiny and not clean (iii) No basic traveler needs were there (iv) It look more like a hostel although call it as hotel (v) Difficult to find as hotel is in a busy commercial area. I do not think I got 10% of what I paid for. Pay few more Dollars find a better place

Stayed here for one night on March 18 yesterday. I got a room on the 6th floor. The elevator is old. The receptionist looks very unfriendly. The waiting room only has an uncomfortable sofa. But the location of the hotel is very strategic. Close to the center of the crowd. Near the mall, close to the mustafa center. Easy to find. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and complete. There is a mirror, wardrobe, small table, water heater and extra pillows. The bathroom is quite large, equipped with a bathtub and water heater. Equipped with toileters, and free mineral water. So far, worth it with the price.

    For Indonesian people:

    1. In my opinion, this hotel is quite good for those who want to travel on a cheap budget

    2. It’s good here, close to the food court area…
For Muslims, next to the hotel there is Padang Syahrini food that is sold by Indos, in the City Square mall area there is a penyet kitchen, then on the left side of the road to the Farrer MRT Gate there is a vegetarian cafe and the prices are quite decent… You can make all of that wrong one recommendation of halal food…

    3. Now it’s even better in this kitchen area (hotel area 165) there is a mustofa shopping center right behind the hotel… Just walk 100m…

    4. This hotel uses central AC, so maybe there are many reviews that say it’s cold with the AC, the hotel owner gave the AC cover in the hole and gave extra blankets…

    5. This hotel can check in early, if you arrive from Changinya airport late at night, you can first contact the hotel area for an early…

    Happy holidays

Great budget hotel, taking into account how expensive Singapore is. If you ever traveled across SEA and stayed in hotels with no windows, that shouldn’t be an issue. Convenient location (1 min walk to Farrer Park station), mall across the road for a fairly cheap breakfast or dinner and Little India district to explore. Rooms are cleaned daily, free drinking water and a bath tub. Overall very positive experience, recommended for budget travelers who’s looking for a place to sleep for a few days.

Health-risky hotel! I was sent there after complaining about the conditions at the Jamilla Boutique Inn, and at first it looked like an improvement, but only at first sight. The photos on the booking pages do not keep uo with reality.
Overall the condition is very bad and the hotel has its best times left behind. But the biggest problem was the health-damaging aspects. The air conditioning is ancient and is centrally controlled. It can neither be regulated in temperature nor switched on and off. The mold grows in the bathroom incessantly and adopted to a disgusting extent. But the worst thing is the water. As soon as you turn this on, it smells horrible of dirty stagnant water. And you should take a shower, wash your face and brush your teeth with that. I never had something like this before.

I’m not complaining about the rundown condition in general, about missing color and yellowed walls. I do not complain about the age-old and clattering elevator, the non-functioning internet, the carpet that looks like he could soon be running by itself or the hard bed. I do not complain about the run-down furniture, the torn or grubby-looking curtains or the verdigris on the window frame. And not about the not cleaned mirrors or the water stains on tiles, fittings or the bathroom door. I complain about the health-endangering aspects. I was supposed to spend two weeks there, but after two nights with a rash and itching I voluntarily checked out.

I do not expect a five star standard from a low budget hotel, but I expect a minimum of hygiene and I expect no health risks. This is not given here in my view.
In the end, the cancellation on Jamilla Boutique did not work out and I have about $ 600 wasted, but everything is better than this place. The store is closed, the standard does not even deserve a star.

In addition, if you want to shop at Mustafa Center, a hypermarket where all kinds of goods are available, you just have to walk 5 minutes to the back of the hotel.

    – Close to Farrer Park MRT (Located in the basement of City mall)
    – Downstairs there is a food court with affordable prices (Tips: No need to order breakfast from the hotel, it’s better to eat at this food court)
    – Mustafa Center just 100m behind the hotel (Tips : Go to mustafa at midnight because there are not many visitors, and the road between hotel and mustafa is very safe)
    – Opposite City Mall
    – Friendly staff
    – Every day the room is always cleaned, 2 bottles of new mineral water are available, towels are replaced (Tips: don’t leave valuables in the room for security)

    – Central AC, so it’s very cold. (Tips: bring an extra blanket or close the AC cover)
    – Room no window, not recommended if travelers spend a lot of time staying at the hotel
    – Small elevator

Overall this hotel is good if you judge it based on a very strategic location. Please note that this hotel will not be suitable for incess travelers due to the lack of facilities at this hotel.

Hotels on budget! Even though there is still something below that, sharing rooms and bathrooms will be very uncomfortable in our opinion, so the choice fell on this 165 Little India hotel. Tips if you want to go to this hotel, get off at Farrer Park Station, not Little India, because it’s really far even though it’s called Little India. Want to go to the station, just cross into the mall in front and head to the basement, but below, the road is quite far to get to the train. Right below the hotel there is also good food, because the hotel does not include breakfast. Close to Mustafa Center if you want to buy mineral water. The hotel room also includes a water heater to make coffee in the morning. It’s just that the mattress is too hard for me, but my husband is just right, depending on taste.
