GM Food Centre has air-conditioned dining area. There is a stall which sells noodles and claypot dishes. Its claypot curry chicken is excellent and it is cheap at $5.20. Rice and baguette can be ordered separately. Do note that its claypot dishes are popular and usually sold out fast by early evening.

Good food with local hawkers. Only thing is that the place is relatively small but it does have the necessary essentials like drinks and the standard noodles and rice and the usual roti prata. Beside is a grocer in which it’s very convenience and just above is the parking and the parking charges be it weekdays or week ends. Otherwise the food there is cheap and more catered to the people who say there.

Disappointed with the pricing of the drinks. I get that they are selling their own brand of the mineral water but when i pay 2.30 for teh ping and mineral water at another coffeeshop and 3.50 here… not gonna be a place im frequenting much. As it is, not much choices for food anyways.

The food here is slightly better than other coffeeshops, and the reason might be the careful and detailed selections of hawkers by the Broadway Management Team.

I must say that the Western Food is my favourite, and in second place, the roasted duck rice. Third place have to be shared among all the other stalls.

The best thing is that it’s not only 24hrs, 70% of the shops are fully in operation throughout the whole night.

Only set back, the smoking area is a bit too small for my liking…

  57. Avatar photo
    Ashley Lim

Great new vibes with much lesser crowd after renovations in Dec 2022.

Hennessy duck stall and Klang BKT tastes good, but be prepared to pay a little more than your usual coffeeshop pricing – worth it in my opinion.

The Nasi Lemak and Economic beehoon stall however charges outrageous prices. Chicken wings costs $2.10 each and plain beehoon itself will set you back $2. Do the math and you’ll realize you’ll be spending close to $7 for a plate of beehoon with 2-3 fried ingredient – not worth in my opinion.

One of the local food centers near Punggol. The location is great, it locates next to the Cove LRT station.

Like other food centers, there are different food stalls inside, those serve different cuisines (Chinese, Malay, Indian, Korean, Japanese…)

I visited there one day before Singapore National day 2022, was given a small Singapore flag and was able to checkin for a free cup of Kopi at the coffee shop on the right of the entrance.

Typical local food court, a bit limited in term of choices. Have both indoor with aircons and outdoor, and separate smoking area, which is great.

Chicken rice and minced meat noodle stall is average.

There are chicken rice, char siew/ roasted meat, mixed vege rice, noodles, yong tau hu,Indian foods,zi char, fried chicken/western, fish soup.Tried the spinach yong tau hu. Taste quite good and the price is normal coffeeshop price. Will
be back try out other foods as some stall’s food looks quite tempting.Accessibility is easy as the Lrt stn and bus stop both are just infront at the main road.Parking is at the multi storey car park just behind it.

We sat at table in outdoor non smoking area that was beside the tented smoking area. Altho the tented smoking area was well covered up some how the smoke still got over. We shifted seats to the other end of non smoking outdoor area but there were smokers standing at the pavement bordering there! Also there were escooter delivery boys standing at the main entrance and they were smoking too! Effectively there isn’t any outdoor non smoking area since its all surrounded by smokers.

(20 Dec 2022) newly renovated so it’s bright and clean. Yummy Chwee Kueh still there but 肉夹馍 stall gone. There is a new yong tau foo stall with very sweet plain soup. Must try for ytf fans!

Used to be an old hang out place to chill in the evening. Newly renovated with new stall owners and all new faces. I think most are very new to their business hence a lot of order delays and wrong orders taken. Nevertheless the vendors were polite.

The place now looks jazzy but they have moved more tables outside so it’s more crowded now. Miss the old place with the laid back wine.

Nothing much to eat here, but my favourite stalls to buy from are the fishball noodles and economic rice. Prices are reasonable.

Only downside is that the drinks are slightly expensive – $1.60 for teh ice, ice lemon tea etc

2.20am 4 stalls were opened still. Order fried bee hoon from Old Punggol Nasi Lemak stall. The fried beancurd was tasteless, didnt hv meat like chicken cutlet and it was an expensive $5. First and last time patronizing this stall.
Place is pretty cooling to hang out though but spoiled by a group of teens all rowdy, noisy and worse, smoking and vaping away. I sat at a spot where the fan was installed just below the downlight so my table was refldcting off the flickering like crazy. Broadway’s ID should do something about this. Not so relaxing sitting in this flicker.

Small foodcourt but the food is not bad and is cheap, as in most foodcourt. This one is open 24h, which is really convenient. I especially enjoyed the western food with the Bolognese pasta for as low as 4.8 sgd. Only thing missing is the dessert, there’s only a few. But it’s possible to complete the drinks or sweets with the nearby supermarket.

Ok place for Punggol food. Try the Bak Kut Teh. That one is good. Oh one more thing, was at the roasted meat stall… stall lady dropped a green bowl onto a wet floor whilst she was scooping rice, took it back up and continued scooping. Unbelievable. Not going to that stall. Stay away.

We had the spinach yong tau fu. Nice. The minced meat inside is tasty. We always eat from this stall whenever we eat at this Food Centre.

Location is good, near LRT. A lot of food to choose from (10 food stalls plus drnk stall). The inside has aircon, fans, but the doors are still opened, good for circulation. The outside also has seating areas with a small section partitioned for smokers; very thoughtful!

We sat inside, near the mixed rice stall. Next to our table sat an uncle who looked like he had been sitting there for long. He wasn’t eating, there was a cup of drink near him. He was watching something from his phone. He chatted with the beer aunty who obviously knew the uncle very well as she was sharing the content of her phone to him. All this while, the uncle was not wearing his mask at all. This is very inconsiderate as all this happened during dinner peak hour (we were there from 7pm to 7.30pm). He shouldn’t be hogging the place for himself while at the same time endangering other people as he sneezed without mask on.

As soon as I finished my food (although my husband was still eating), the cleaner aunty quickly cleaned my bowls. So the uncle was deliberately permitted by the employees there to do what he did (and has been doing on a daily basis?). It’s not a matter of not enough staff to remind him or anything.

I believe the employees there know him. He may even be the owner of the Food Centre? I don’t know. But what he did was inappropriate. I hope the Food Centre management can do something about it.

Just moved to Punggol area and paid a visit for my morning breakfast on Sunday. Although I wanted to have toasted bread with kaya and half boiled egg, temptations could not get better of me and could not resist anymore so just went for hot egg prata and absolutely lovely smooth thick fish curry. The soaking prata taste just woke up my senses. Absolutely incredible taste and it really made the start of my day !!! Thanks for the scrumptious yummy food !

The Western food stall is helmed by another person. The previous 2-lady team is not there anymore.

Standard now drop slightly. Prepare to wait a while if you come at peak hr. They can’t churned out the orders fast enough

Similarly, the Korean food stall is having the same issue, but much worse. There’s dun seem to be any procedure or coordination bet the cashier and cook. Dun be surprised the cashier can be easily overwhelmed with orders and get ur orders messed up.

U could tell when she’s confused and messed up the orders when she stops taking new orders and looks visibly frustrated.

The food is not too bad. But they gotta work on their coordination / communication bet cashier and cook.
