Pioneer mall
Appreciated new revamp. But access is problematic if you drive and trying to avoid carrying your heavy shopping. You need to park at 5th floor exit. Take a lift down to 2nd floor walk a distance to get to the entrance at 2nd floor. A real hassle if you are a mobility challenged senior.
Lot of items, some discounted price will attract you.

some cashier are very slow.. talk more work less .. And difficult to smile .. Abt items.. Flooring especially at the fish ball sides always slippery.. Dangerous for the elderly and some vegetables are not fresh and the staff some are not so helpful .. Pls improved thanks

Products are usually neatly placed, with quite a lot of enticing offers from time to time. Like most supermarket, you can find anything her, even toys and some electronics.
Service is fast and attitude of staff is decent. Food court is nearby if you are hungry.

Always check prices on receipt. Prices are always not sync with the system. This problem have been present for years. 2 out of 10 visits needed to ask customer service to do refunds. Waste alot of time and energy.

Huge 2 storey supermarket with elevators. Large array of products from electronics to seasonal decorations at the first floor and drinks to baked goods at the second. The prices of some fruits like the watermelon can be a little costly.
A wide variety of veggies, fruits and food items, even have their brand names items from Malaysia so relatively cheaper and reasonable quality like HOT CHOCOLATE – Giant brand. But baby products e.g. snacks for toddlers very limited. Diapers variety reasonable.

Get your standard supplies sundries and fresh produce here. No high end stuff here but they have some electrical and electronic stuff. There’s also a tailor shop by the side that does quick measurements for order of garments or alterations.

Provides necessities but product variety is not as much. There are quite a few times that they run promotions but did not update their POS cashiering system or the promotion tags on the products or racks. End up had to pay more due to their mistake, and service recovery was done, except for saying sorry.
Commodity prices have competitive advantages, and the variety is complete. Clean and tidy.

This is the nearest supermarket to my room. It opens daily until 11 pm makes me easier to get my stuff because sometimes I have to go back very late. This hypermarket is located on the third and fourth floor of Pioneer Mall. On the third floor, they sell daily needs for example towel, plate, glass, spoon, toys, shampoo, soap, etc. On the fourth floor, they sell foods for example eggs, noodle, meat, fish, shrimp, crabs, vegetables, etc. I like this hypermarket because it is clean and comfy. Sometimes they reduce the price by more than half when the items almost expired. That can save a lot of money especially for a student like me. In general, it is complete enough to get your daily necessities.

If looking for cheaper thing can shop there. Always buy their cooked food.
After around 10pm, the mart is not crowded there is only 1 cashier opened at level 2 and all their 6 self-checkout machines are closed, thus everyone is queuing to make their usually small purchases at that one counter. Not a very smart decision. Other than that, purchase experience is very smooth at timings when both cashier counters and self check-out counters are open.

The big Indian(not local)guy who is in charge of fish is very lazy. He refused to help to cut the whole fish to half upon my request as he said that’s not their practice in Giant supermarket hence I stop buying fish from Pioneer mall Giant. They have more varieties of cheese than Prime supermart & vegetables is cheaper than other mart
