This is an excellent family owned and operated Chinese seafood restaurant in the residential area of Tampines. Seating approximately 50 people in a simple homely atmosphere where the food is freshly prepared using produce obtained from the market that day.
A non alcohol policy makes this an ideal opportunity for guests to simply enjoy the real tastes of Singapore in a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere.
Definitely worth seeking out to enjoy authentic Singaporean hospitality served up in generous portions.

Recommended to make a reservation for weekend dinner as it is a small establishment. The salted egg softshell crab, fried plum chicken and fried butter fish were great and definitely a crowd pleaser.

Good value for money but expect to be patient and wait for your order.

One of the good and affordable zi char. It is recommended to reserve your seat for dinner. In the morning, they sell light breakfast meals like bee hoon and kway teow.
Tried venison hot plate, oatmeal prawn, beancurd hot plate and sambal kangkong. All dishes are delicious and its prices are generally affordable.
For drinks, you take your own cup and take your own ice then take the canned drinks from the fridge by yourself. Later in the payment, you just need to tell how many drinks that you take.

Despite staying in this area for my whole life, i just got to know of this place after moving out to further east.

    Salted egg chicken was fantastic.
White cabbage soup had a homely feel.
Sambal kang kong was so so.. but i the bean curd dishes ordered by the next table looks really delicious.

Will definitely come back here again since there isn’t much in pasir ris.

Spotted this local culinary gem while randomly looking around on Google Maps, visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner after reading all the rave reviews.

For 2 persons we ordered the following:
    – Hong Kong style steamed Garoupa ($30)
    – Samba Kang Kong
    – Salted egg soft shell crab
    – Seafood ‘Horfun’ rice noodles
Total price came up to $66.60.

The best dish for me was the rice noodles. It was excellent, full of ‘wokhei’ charred flavour, and the included shrimps were very tasty (in contrast to many other places where tasteless freshwater farmed shrimps are used).

The Sambal Kangkong vegetables were decent, though I would have preferred it a bit spicier and with a stronger Sambal flavour.

I have mixed feelings regarding the salted egg soft shell crab. It was crispy but the salted egg flavour was missing. Here I would suggest adding salted egg sauce after frying the crab.

The biggest disappointment was the Hongkong style steamed Garoupa. The flesh of the fish was tough and chewy, like it spent too much time in the freezer. For the sauce, while it did lend flavour to the otherwise flavourless fish, I would have preferred a lighter sauce, akin to seafood chain restaurants such as Crystal Jade.

Service was fast and prompt, and the aunty was very friendly despite the number of takeaway orders (she was literally almost running within the shop).

Overall, a neighbouhood gem in my opinion, and I would be back to try other dishes recommended by the aunty.

    Thanks for reading!

Was early for dinner and we (2 adults and 2 kids) were the only customers. More came after 6.30pm.
Ordered their in-house specialities and were not disappointed. Good price too.

Very fast they cook and we just wait around 5 mins after we ordered the food had been serve to us already! But they close a bit early for dinner, is around 8:30am. They mentioned they need to coming to the shop very early 6:30am in the morning for preparing breakfast, sell mihun and so on. That is why they need to close early by 8:30pm so that they able to prepare breakfast by 6:30am. We will definitely coming again for breakfast and lunch.

Situated in a quiet corner of a mature public housing estate, FPC is a family-run business where an elderly couple do the cooking (mainly the dad) and their two children wait tables.

Unassuming and approachable, the whole family exudes a customer-friendly vibe and will patiently recommend dishes to your liking.

My personal favourites are the crispy baby squid, the salted veggie and tofu soup, prawn-paste chicken and an interesting rendition of sliced pork with pineapple – an FPC original, so I’m told. Drinks are self-service from a big chiller, and reservations are recommended on weekends.

Out of the three namesake items (FPC = Fish Prawn Chicken), I’ve only managed to try the C. Looking forward to the rest in subsequent visits.

We went with high expectations because of the positive reviews on Google. Their food was not bad but not as good as rated. There were plenty of hits and misses. Skip the yam ring, crispy you tiao, sweet & sour pork and sambal kang kong. However, their hor fun, crabmeat tofu (not a lot of crab), Thai crispy chicken, and Kung Pao sotong were all delicious.

Great food, great service, empty half the time so don’t need to worry about queues, it’s a family run business and there’s only one cook so wait times can be long but it’s worth it!

Went to try cos of their high review score, and so glad it didn’t disappoint at all! Worth 5 stars, best Zhi char I had in awhile and my family of 4 others thought well of all the dishes too. We had their salted chicken (yummy!). A pork belly char po dish which we thought it was interesting for my parent and I liked it too even thou I usually don’t take the fatty meat. We also gd Hor fan and Hokkien mee (they serve black type). Everything was good leh, will visit again. Service was good cos the young guy shared with us what was good for take Away and other dishes that taste better if can eat in freshly hot (like their yam ring) .

I googled before i headed over. Read many good reviews. When i reached the shop I was a bit surprised by the simple decor as i thought would be like a kopitiam zi char stall.

Very simple set up and the food are superb.

Had a beef horfun, garlic kangkong and a porkrib.

All three dishes are very good esp with the “wok hei”. The pork ribs is very crispy yet the meat is so tender.

    Highly recommended.

Had my first experience at FPC about a week ago. We ate up the food before we could take photos; it was that good. Homely dishes cooked with passion. We all had a good laugh when we figured out what “FPC” stood for. …

Amazing food!! Can’t get enough of their food ever since trying it this year. Hands down the best salted egg chicken and best pork ribs after trying so many zi char places. The other dishes are really tasty too. Very affordable prices and service is exceptional! Recommended to my family and friends and they were really shocked that they only found this hidden gem now.

During my trip to Singapore, I stopped by a Chinese restaurant in a quiet village near the airport. The trip was even more enjoyable because I found a restaurant that was delicious beyond imagination and suited Korean tastes.
If you go to Sangapore, stop by and taste it. It will be a choice you will not regret.
