Ok. Very near to Liang Court. It has a f&b shop there
I love this place
It is not as grand as the Botanic Garden, but it is a large park where you can fully enjoy the feeling of being in a wonderful forest with lush greenery in the middle of the city. There is Biongtaru Bakery in the park, where you can enjoy meals and rest.
Covid19 caused this big and clean station to be so empty and lifeless. It used to be busy. Downtown line stations are my favourite. So clean and nice. Can even sleep on the floor there since its so clean. Toilets are the best among all the other lines. Big and clean. Pre or during or post covid, cleanliness still no 1. Kudos to all the staff there especially cleaning staff. Hope all train lines in Singapore follow this exemplary example.

Tàu điện ngầm Singapore
Singapore Metro
Fort Canning Hill, formerly Government Hill, Singapore Hill and Bukit Larangan (Forbidden Hill in Malay), is a small hill, about 48 metres (157 ft) high, in the southeast portion of the island city-state of Singapore, within the Central Area that forms Singapore’s central business district
Simple, rarely busy, clean, and more civilized than most of Singapore MRT in downtown/central area. No food stalls or shopping areas, although they’re all just right outside the door. Clean and well maintained lift, escalator and bathroom –kudos to the staff who manage this station.
Well connected
Best connectivity
It’s an ordinary station in the East-West MRT line
Can go to Fort canning park by exit b
No ATM machine except for that this is a part of less crowded downtown line …
Directly connected to Liang Court It’s good to be able to go without getting wet in the rain (^^)
Juat love the MRT system
Crowd was not as busy as in town. Near Liang court and fort canning park.
Nice and clean i drop my wallet and the stuff was so kind to return to lost n found
Fort Canning MRT Station is located at Downtown Lines. If you will want to take a train to Changi Airport, you may take to EXPO MRT Station and change to East West Line towards Changi Airport. Surrounding of Fort Canning Station, there is a Liang Court and also within walking distance towards Clark Quay.
Good
Good station
Spacious and clean!
A brand new metro station. Super easy to find your way around, to take your ticket. And above all impressively clean for a French used to the Paris metro .
The fastest way to get to fort canning without walking a long way up the hill from public transport.
Straightforward train station, nothing much to complain, other than it’s a little below underground. Toilets are clean, stations are well maintained, like all other Downtown Line stations. This isn’t much different. This though, doesn’t have retail outlets unlike some other bigger stations. One bummer is how it takes a long roundabout to get to Newton interchange, and it becomes a natural dilemmas whether to switch at Little India (next stop) and walk, or to sit through the 16 minutes.
A station in suburban Singapore
Nice place as this station is located near to the Fort Canning Park and Liang Court (shopping mall)
You can find many good thing here;)
Safe and clean area!
Very clean
Super duper convenient
Experience in all DownTown Line stations have been good and this is no different. Clean and cool (air-con). The trains are clean as well.
Close to River Cruise and Clarky.
Nice station and connects to Fort Canning Park and Lighthouse which is a must visit while your stay in Singapore. It explains the Singapore history dating back to 14th century, including the Battlebox, Spice Garden, Raffles house, and the beautiful 14th century walk way up the slop of the hill which surrounds the reservoir. Love to spend quality time with nature here.
Great place for a walk, jogging, picnic. Open 24hrs
Convenient Mar
Convenient mrt
Just another typical mrt stations.. As long there is no break down everything is OK
Always clean abd efficient in Singapore
Clean.
Bersih.
The subways in Singapore are generally very modern and well signposted. Highly recommended to get through the city quickly.
Was a bit of shocker when we found out even the metro ticket machine would not take a credit card. Be cash ready all the time in this neighbourghood.
There is a large park right across from it too.
Its an MRT. What’s more to say?
MRT station
The signage towards the bicentennial exhibition should be clear and big enough to let people know and viewable, the signage should add an exit B instead of only an arrow pointing . It was very misleading by putting the arrow sign near the exit A escalator. I do hope there will be a change soon.
Lit place! …
Great place with beautiful historical areas and natural history exhibits as well. The Fort offers the perfect ambience for a brisk walk, exercise, picnic or just to relax in nature. The play areas are thoughtfully designed, with fun activities for kids as well as grown ups.
This MRT station is not busy every time I come here.
While the station is clean and spacious, the pick-up point at exit A is not very user-friendly. First, the pick-up shelter is awkwardly on the right side of the road, and passengers boarding/alighting on the left side of the vehicle have to walk around the vehicle. (If it rains, good luck.) Second, to get out of the pick-up area, the vehicle has to give way to traffic along Clarke Quay, then wait for the traffic light at the Clarke Quay/River Valley Rd junction (with very long “red” time), and wait for the traffic light again at the River Valley Rd/Clemenceau Ave junction (which irritatingly turns red after the traffic light from Clarke Quay to River Valley Rd turns green). Third, there’s an ERP gantry along River Valley Rd towards Hill St, right after Clemenceau Ave. The ERP makes the pick-up bay outside exit B redundant during ERP operational hours, as no driver would want to drive an empty vehicle through the ERP to Exit B to pick up passengers, and drivers with passengers would rather drop passengers off along Clemenceau Ave to avoid the ERP. As for the pick-up bay at exit A, the entrance from River Valley Rd into the pick-up bay was not clearly marked. When I tried to book a Grab at exit A, TWICE the drivers missed the turn into the pick-up bay. As returning to the pick-up bay requires 2 U-turns and passing through the ERP, the first driver cancelled my booking, while the 2nd driver drove further away, forcing me to cancel the booking. And the driver who picked me up in the end had to endure the double wait at the 2 traffic lights from exit A to Clemenceau Ave. (Both lights turned from green to red when we approached.) Next time if I need a cab/grab from this station, I will walk to Clemenceau Ave instead.
Easy to find the exit. there is no taxi
Clean place
Near to this there is a photo shoot point called tree tunnel
First time use MRT from this station… Not too crowded
Easy if going to Fort Canning or the nearby children playground.
It’s a typical MRT station only one cafe in the basement
