Food court run by Food Republic has a good variety of stalls. However, do not order from “My Elephant”, the Thai stall. Not only the service from the cashier is terrible, their food is just as bad. Worst Thai food ever. The Pad Thai noodle I ordered was oily, soggy and extremely sweet. Do not waste your money to spoil your appetite!

I liked the wide variety of options here and the food is really good. Had the popiah, beef ball soup and the sembawang clay pot rice and curry fish. I liked that the clay pot rice had a nice flavour and the curry fish had a very nice curry sauce. The fish was a little pricey but it’s to be expected in a shopping mall food court.

The food here is extremely sweet. I thought under NEA advice, food stalls should aim to food less sweet for health reason. If you don’t like sweet, avoid this nasi Padang.

Nasi Padang stall. $9.30 for my dish. (see pic). Jebus. Crazy expensive.

One star for cleanliness, one star for service, no stars for food (meh), no stars for price ($9.30!!! Food court!!! What?!!) And no stars for “Will I come back?”

    Nope, no I won’t.

MeiXi yong tau fu is my favorite. Glad to have found them with food republic. The brinjal with meat paste is addictive. They will also deep fry certain pieces and not place them in the soup which gives more texture to this dish. They have different soup bases such as laksa( local); mala (sichuan) and tom yum (thai) to be spoilt with different kinds of spicy soup choices.

My family and I visit this place often. I love the diversity of options provided, you can get many different types of cuisines here. It’s a bit difficult to find a place to sit most evenings though, especially with half the tables being wardened off for social distancing.

The 板面 store is the best ever. However, the downside to food republic here is the amount of seating (usually cannot find seat during lunch/dinner hours). The price is also pretty high but it’s fine because it is in a shopping mall. Overall, it’s still a convenient place to dine at if you don’t want to go to the restaurants instead.

I have not been visiting Parkway Parade for than 4 yrs. On Mar 11, I woke up early just to see what are the changes there. The most impress me is the foodcourt here their layout plan has been widen and the stalls are easy been seen by customers here. Many of the stalls are still around but some of them has been changes hand for N times. These are the pictures taken to show what are stalls around and visitors can have a good look what are the foods that you plan to have it when visiting here. Suggestion to foodrepublic management, please add logo to the website for each stall beside the stall name when introduced their background. So, when we visit other outlets, we can have the same food as well.

Lam’s Salt Baked Chicken food stall is quietly tucked in this foodcourt.

The food court has a lot of new and good food stalls in recent times eg. What the fish, ah ma chi mian, pepper lunch, lam abalone noodle. The food is above average compared to other food courts and coffeeshops and hawkers.
It has been around for quite some time so it has some expected age issues eg. Some places are not so well ventilated, don’t smell so good and not so clean. Especially the seats and tables in the corners.

I would recommend Sembawang Claypot Rice. The chef started from raw rice grains, waiting time about 20 minutes. This tasted good, I stirred the rice over the claypot producing some charred smell and taste. Chicken meat was tendered not overly cooked, unlike most claypot rice, which was pre-made and heated when customer orders.
    It is pricier at $7.50.

Are such signs available for all patrons to use to chope their seats when they finally can find a suitable place or is it exclusive to some people or specific stalls? When I took a seat beside the “Reserved” table, I do not see anyone using it throughout the time I ordered and finish my meal. Hope the management can clarify & address this situation. Thanks

Nice big and clean food court operated by food republic that serves local delights. Always have a cuppa tea when i visit parkway before heading for the car park. Take away ayam penyet, it taste nice,i am sure it would taste better if can dine in but due covid phase 2, can only buy back. Will try again when can dine in

Many decent food offerings. Of course more pricey than Hawker centres. Anyway do take note that it is quite a popular place, so need to look really hard for seats

Overpriced food court with nothing much to offer. Only the Indonesian food and Lam’s salt baked chicken worth mentioning

The staff are really friendly, but this food court is really crammed. It is also very crowded sometimes, making it hard to find a seat here. However, food is good.

I don’t know about you but I tend to stick to the tried and tested stalls at my go-to food courts. Such is the case every time I drop by Food Republic in the basement of Parkway Parade. But then the other day, spontaneity grabbed hold and I veered to something new, leading me to encounter simple comfort food done well.
I get why “SING HK Cafe” is quite popular because even the basic “char chan tang” dish of luncheon meat and egg on rice at the stall is elevated. Cooked with care by a middle-aged China-born cook, the pieces of meat, cut into big cubes, were properly deepfried to achieve a crunchy coating first. Only then did he transfer the meat to the wok into which he poured beaten eggs that he swiftly stirred into the luscious form of a silky blanket.
Besides the default topping of fresh iceberg lettuce, I nodded when he offered to add the aromatic condiment of spring onions cooked in oil to my dish too. What an appetising quick lunch that turned out to be. The stall offers two kinds of chilli sauce but I’d love to have had some fresh cut chilli padi. Yes, not the usual but the tastebuds want what the tastebuds want

Disappointed with the service and food prices are high.

I am a frequent patron there.
The service staff are always very impatient and they were not helpful when making cashless e-payment.

There were signage for promo code for payment using Fave app but no one can guide me how to use the promote code shown.

On weekdays, there is 10% discount for Passioncard holders with min spend of $7.

I have encounters several occasions where the counter staff have processed my payment without deducting the 10% discount.

Upon clarifying with them, they say next time show the card first. (I was actually holding the card in my hand). This happened more than once. Also not all counters show the promo signs.

It may not seem like a lot of $$$ to him/her but for a family of five, 10% could be a saving of $4-5.

Rice is about $1.00 or $1.10… which is expensive for food court.

Overall, my experience there has been disappointing. If not for the convenience while shopping in PP, I would rather dine at the nearby hawker centre.
