    Hidden gem in a neighbourhood

This is one of the best beef ramen I ever eaten

The soup base is rich and fresh
The noodle are handmade and tender
The Chef eat one bowl at a time, so you might need to wait awhile but it is totally worth it.

You won’t want to miss this, worth it for a try if you are nearby.

Laid back coffee shop in Ubi.
Yong Tau Foo, Bak Chor Mee, Economical Rice stalls are very affordable. From $3.50 onwards.

Kopi-O is good enough for me. Not too acidic.

Overall, a typical and cheap coffeeshop in the estate.

The food stalls that you should try here are:
    1) The mixed economic rice stall (Ah Bee mixed vegetable stall) where the owners have freshly cooked dishes at least twice a day. Please take note that they are closed on Sundays. Reasonably-priced overall.

    2) The Lanzhou Chinese muslim stall at the corner. The ramen and meat dishes are very popular choices for patrons who come here, especially muslim families here. Halal too.

    3) The Western food stall. Long-standing shop in Ubi with the owner uncle still actively involved in the kitchen with 2 other helpers. If you are a regular, they seem to give you a bit of extra portions when you order. Fast too. Halal too.

    4) The Yong Tau Foo/noodles stall.
The ingredients are freshly prepared daily and reasonably priced.

Tried the beef hor fun (牛肉河粉) from their Zi Char stall. It was very good and delicious. The hor fun had a distinct wok hei taste and they were not stingy with the beef, as the beef slices were thick. The meat was tendery and had soaked up the thick, savoury gravy really well. It was a satisfying meal for me, will try other dishes next time I’m here.

Didn’t catch the name of this stall. I had the papaya soup minced pork noodles and it was yummy The generous amount of sliced and minced pork, soup that is flavourful yet not salty, sweetness from the Chinese cabbage.
And not many places have meetaimak, this is nice and chewy. Run by one person so do be patient. Will revisit to try their tomyum.
