This large food court serves one of the best chicken rice in Singapore. Try the Indian food, or have an authentic Turkish kebab wrap (or salad), cooked and served by a friendly Turkish man. After you’re done with filling up your “tank”, pop over to the nearby Sheng Siong Supermarket for a little “office-groceries” for the office refrigerator, like a pack of fruit yoghurt, a tin of biscuits, or simply get some cold beverages and save it for later. You cannot go wrong popping by this place.

The interior of the food court has been renovated, the main structure of the building has been retain. For me that’s good because you don’t get such nostalgic looking food court easily anymore. There are 2 car parks, so parking not much of a problem. There’s quite a selection of foods available.I was there this afternoon with 2 others, we decided to order something different from the usual local food.We saw a Turkish Food Stall and decided to order 2 plates of different dishes. They turn out to be very colourful and a bit like an art work. The taste is quite good.1 plate chicken with salads & rice cost $7 & 1 plate chicken+lamb with salad & chips cost $8 both came in big portion so 3 of us shared the 2 plates. So we share the cost also and only cost $5 each person.

Ordered charcoal fish head soup, XO chicken wings, hot plate tofu, sweet sour pork, salted egg prawns, black pepper beef, banana leaf balaciam and gong pau chicken from 38 Seafood ze cha stall. Unfortunatelh non of them taste good! It’s quite upsetting to our stomach although the price was cheap, merely at $140, or about $24 per head. The hawker center got no airconditioning system, in fact it was quite hot as the sunday crowd was very packed. Location was far at Jurong west and only reachable by few public buses or cars.

Had wanted to try the Thai food at this food court but it was closed on PH which fell on a Monday. So settled for 麻辣烫 Mala spice food. The ingredient selection and taste is comparable to those in food courts at Thomson Plaza and Jurong Point. But the price is cheaper for similar quantity. The Chong Qing style grilled fish is only $28 tho need to pre-order. Saw the same thing being sold elsewhere for $38.

Out in the West there don’t seem to be many places where one can drive up park and have a quick meal. Most places are in Malls or wrapped up within HDB estates. So it’s valuable makan stop. Food choice is decent and quality is average. It’s an naturally ventilated location so it can be very warm mid day so expect to perspire a little. The upside is a decent drinks and cold desert stall. Otherwise it has the basics. One Indian Muslim stall, a chicken rice and roast meats, a economy mixed rice etc. Nothing exciting to me but sufficient choice.

I have stayed in this neighbourhood for 10 years. The shops that i would like to recommend if you visit this food court are chicked rice (highly recommended), mixed rice (remember to ask the price before you order seafood) and korean shop. The breakfast set is quite nice too, but comparing to other coffee shop i think the price is on higher side. Those are the shops that i am still visiting till today.
