Nice atmosphere, overall nice place
Budget conscious hotel located in busy Geylang, near to MRT and many public transport options. Food options around this hotel is plenty and spoilt for choice.
The hotel was ok for Singapore at the price rate we found it. It has windows ( which is a plus), air conditioning, and the reception is open 24×7.
The hotel was very clean, friendly and helpfull staff and there is also a small outdoor area for smoking or spending some time with friends, and having a drink. There is a MRT metro station of the East-West Line near by (10 min walking distance), and also a bus station (4 min walking distance), where you can catch the bus 80, wich takes you to the Vivo Mall, where you can easily go to Sentosa island. The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast and the breakfast options are very limited inbthe area as most restaurants in the vecinity open after 11 am. We ended up eating breakfast in the mall every day.
I put up a sign asking them to make my room, no one ever came. Although the staff was apologetic, the guy just came to my room and handed me a towel like it was me being unreasonable.

Sooo… the house keeping staff was a little small. Many people including myself didn’t get checked into our rooms until like 6 PM. I thought it was just me and another guest, but every time I came down in the evening, there were more new guests waiting around until late as well.
Being on the top floor, housekeeping would usually be there to fix up the room and replenish it at 7-8pm. That to me is a little late and since I was an early sleeper and early riser, I was in my room at that time winding down the evening and planning the next day. I politely declined their services the entire time they showed up.
I guess it works as good motivation to get you out of the room for experiencing the nightlife, but that’s not what I was doing in Singapore.
Still though, that’s how they keep the hotel with fairly good amenities at such a reasonable price for Singapore. Or at least that’s what I figured.
Had a deluxe king room abt 25 sqm…room was ok, bathroom was split into 2, one for toilet & one for shower. TV remote not working for changing channels. Room was made everyday with new towels each day. Location was ok, a bit far from nearest MRT (Kallang) but near a bus stop in front of a mosque with can get u to anywhere.
Service is pretty good. Rooms are average. Very clean. Safety is very good.
Food option around great for 24 hrs.

Beyond expectation. Room was super spacious and clean and toilet was very clean and fully equipped. Booked for my family and the kids loveeeeee the room especially the bunk bed. Will definitely come back. And my compliments to Christina for being so patient and helpful in helping me with my queries.
Quite happy with the location (lots of nearby eateries available within a short walking distance), the room size that we booked was just nice.
Negatives – water pressure was low, resulting in unsatisfactory showers.
Aircond was slow and took a long time to cool the room. The direction was facing the bed directly and was quite uncomfortable for the faces to be blown at continuously.
Mattress was comfortable though, and surroundings was quiet. Had a good, restful sleep.

The staff were not friendly. The floor was covered in long black hair. The walls and skirting boards filthy. The bathroom and toilet floor filthy. There was one mug and the tea/coffee hadn’t been replaced. The toilels shabby. All over yuck. Would never recommend this place. Have traveled the world and this is the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed. Out for the day 8am till 6pm. Room not serviced. 6.30 about to have a shower and they wanted to service the room. Trolley left outside our roomfor the 3 days we were there.

The room ais nice. Reception and the attitude of the staff are great too. The amount of fees is worth for this experience. It’s near the MTR and the downtown. Also, there are 7-11 and supermarket near the hotel, there are a notice (see the picture down below) showing their location. And the staff are willing to help if you can’t find it.

Yes,it is a budget hotel.
First of all when we arrive to check in.No staff was found to be at the front desk.A helper was there instead but he asked us to sit down and wait for the staff.This is not acceptable.
There is a designated smoking area at the hotel but to my surprise it was temporarily used for their ‘burning’ session because of Hungry Ghost Festival and the place is really smoky.These is not acceptable at all.Which 4 star hotels does that??
There was a regulation in place to have $100 deposited before check in and they changed it due to some occupants smoking inside the room.They should state inside all booking platforms that they require $100 deposit before check in and too my frustration,the front desk asked me to withdraw the cash first before check-in!!! They should have proper administration sorted out first before running the hotel operations.

Visiting from US, after 3 nights at other hotels including Ibis this hands down is the BEST hotel we have stayed at. Very friendly and helpful staff, GORGEOUS rooms (better than Ibis) with comfy beds. Robes and slippers in the rooms, we are kicking ourselves for not booking this from day 1. Air conditioner works great, bathroom is wonderful. We got a great rate (cheaper than Ibis) I’m guessing because it’s a newer hotel looking to build its reputation. Love love love it!!! Will stay here for the rest of our stay in Singapore!

Friendly staffs and good location
We stayed there for two nights on our way to Australia and definitly will stay here when going back to Europe . The room was spacious, clean, well equiped and had large window, which si not common standard in Sg. The beds are top, very comfy. I slept so well, no jet lag, no noise from the street. The bathroom, also huge, and well equiped (hair dryer, bathroom kit, etc). On each floor opposite the elevator there is a barrel of water where you can tap water to your bottle. Internet is great both in the lobby and in the rooms. The colors of the hotel are pleasant, not cold gray or beige, but pleasant color accessories. Front desk and all staff is very helpful and nice. Location is perfect, I can get my morning expesso, just around the corner, in Geylang Drip City, and my partner fresh juice on the other side. Don’t be afraid of the specifics of this district, it’s very quiet, safe and beautiful part of Sg, which has atmosphere, traditional old architectute and lot of street food, many restaurants with traditional frog porridge. Thank you, I felt very good and also due to you, your staff and service I love Singapore.

Not A 4 stars hotel, no facilities at all
Clean room , aircon temperature was really cool and comfortable, but there was no bath robes, bath towels and mineral waters.I would rate it as a 3 star hotel instead of 4.
Conveniently located with very friendly staff, perfect for a short stay in Singapore. Rooms were decently sized but unfortunately could have been cleaner, there were some dead bugs on the floor in our room.
Great value for money. Bed is big and soft and sheets are clean. Bathroom is modern and the TV is a Samsung curved TV, which my son enjoyed watching a lot. I have stayed here twice. It’s really close to a lot of food stalls and restaurants. Give the bbq box a try if you love meats and seafood grilled.
Location is not where you want to be if a single woman. Room was clean when arrived but then all week we had to remind to change towels and put amenities. The floor never was wiped. Windows don’t open, AC blows straight to your head. It is new or renovated, but…
We stayed here for two nights in April. Please note this is a new hotel, so everything is fresh and clean which is nice.
Also, it is a 3 star hotel posing as a four star. As in, there are a few things in the hotel that are super nice. For example, the luxury bed, sheets, towels, water pressure in the shower, bathroom, all of these things resemble what you would get at a four star place, super nice. Everything else is simple and a normality of a three star. Nevertheless, the hotel is wonderful, staff is really nice, except that the girl who checked us in didnt really speak much english.
The neighborhood is okay. Keep in mind, there is no western food places nearby. You will need to venture off somewhere to get good breakfasts, coffee, pastries, etc.
What the hotel doesnt have:
– HDMI cable (we wanted to connect our laptop to the TV to watch a movie, but couldnt).
– a luggage room to store your luggage in case you need to keep your stuff after your stay. They will keep your things out in the open by reception.

It is a good hotel. The hotel is very clean and nice. The staffs are friendly and influent in English. Facilities in room are good as well such as Wi-Fi, hair dryer, toiletries, refrigerator, smart TV, etc. It is more than worth the money!! Even it is quite far from MRT station (Kallang station) but it is fine for walk around 10 minutes and the walking way is safe. You can also catch a bus at the front of Kallang station and get off at the 2nd bus stop and across the road to Lor 9 Kallang and across again to Lor 6 Kallang. This is helpful and not have to across the road many times. (^ω^)b

Basically, it’s a hotel that doesn’t give bottled water. It’s so narrow that it’s too stuffy than I thought. There is a water purifier, but there was no guidance on the matter, so I only checked after buying a lot of water. I can’t help it considering the price of Singapore, but considering the taxi cost, next time I think it’s better to just consider a hotel in the center. I think I will have much more time to take a walk in the morning and evening and watch the Spectra Show. No matter where you go, you should take into account that taxi fares are basically 10-20 S$. Oh, and there is no multiplug support. Even the plug itself is small. If you don’t prepare a multi-plug, you may be in trouble. There are no convenience stores nearby. The hot water is not well controlled, the blanket is thick, and the air conditioner does not control the temperature well. too hot or too cold
기본적으로 생수도 주지 않는다는 게 참 못마땅한 호텔입니다. 생각보다도 너무 답답할 정도로 좁고요. 정수기가 있지만 해당 사항에 대한 안내도 없어서 물을 잔뜩 사고 나서야 확인이 되었고요. 싱가포르 물가를 생각하면 어쩔 수 없다지만 택시비까지 생각하면 다음 번에는 그냥 중심지의 호텔을 고려하는 게 나을 것 같네요. 아침, 저녁으로 산책도 좀 하고 스펙트라쇼니 뭐니 보는 대도 훨씬 여유가 있을 것 같고요. 어느 지역으로 움직여도 택시비가 기본적으로 10-20 싱달러는 소요되는 걸 감안해야 합니다. 아참, 멀티플러그 지원도 없습니다. 플러그 자체도 적고요. 멀티플러그 준비 안해가시면 곤란하실 수 있어요. 주변에 편의점 같은 것도 없어서. 온수 조절 잘 안되고, 이불은 두껍고 에어컨으로 온도 조절도 잘 안됩니다. 넘 덥거나 넘 춥거나

Horrible, at 1 30am settled to head home. Room infested with small cockroaches and the male chubby receptionist was absolutely useless. Instead of suggesting any room change, simply came in with shoes on holding a pest spray. The cockroaches were all disposed by us by then. Never coming back here again. And worse , refunding had to be argued by us and not even in full amount by agoda despite stating full amount. If possible i wouldnt even give 1 star

One of the better hotels in Geylang, room was great, queen size bed, free minibar, there is one free can of beer, green tea and lemon tea everyday, aircon was cold, heater was working, they have smart tv so netflix, youtube and some channel TVs like HBO, Fox and KBS etc. Nearest mrt is Kallang, location is great if you are just staying , as it is a rough 15-20 mins walk from Kallang. Netflix must be logged using own account and logged out before checkout. Limited parking about 7 lots. Free cold and hot water dispenser at the lift lobby. 2 key cards given. Good for Solo, couple or family vacation.

The room is small, clean, has air conditioning and a hair dryer. Close to bus 80 (1 hour to Vivo Mall), and 10/15 minutes from the subway. They don’t have breakfast and there are few options around where you can eat.

Nice hotel but the Area ok
Most horrible service in my 30 years of travelling.
When asked for an extra towel, the so-called manager declined citing that there were a lot of towel thefts in the hotel and that we were entitled to what was allocated because they “treat everyone the same”, i.e., everyone is now a thief. This so-called manager R is extremely rude and should not be playing her trade in the hospitality industry. Small hotel yes, but no excuse for these sorts of manners. Beyond shocking.
Room was extremely small but on the plus side, the shower was powerful. Standard rooms have very little to no storage space…so if you are okay with personal clutter throughout the room (and rude service and housekeeping in the evenings only), this hotel is for you.
The room, and the bathroom is spacious enough for me and my husband. The staff were also accommodating and checking in and out was seamless especially since we did late check-in and early check-out. Whenever we arrived from a day of touring around, we come back to freshly cleaned room. A water dispenser can be found in each floor so you can refill your water bottle anytime. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby as well. Though the MRT is a bit far but still walkable (around 5-10mins walk), the bus stop is nearby.

Amazing hotel. The staff are really polite and accommodating. From the receptionist to the housekeeping. Everyone are nice. The rooms are very clean. Even the bathroom is spotless. My clothes/shoes handed to the hotel staff was stolen, no reinstitution was offered by the hotel. The items was handed over to their hotel staff and was left outside my door. Amazing CCTV cannot find who stolen it. Irresponsible hotel, stay at your own risk.

It’s a bit of a hike to MRT. – maybe 12/15 mins but that’s a lot in the heat. Some local restaurants. Rooms are functional – no complaints for price. Staff very good. Grab pick up was.lretty fast.
The Splendour Hotel is well located in Singapore, around 10min by walk from Kallang station (EW10). The room are not small, but not big too. There is enough space for 2 adults and their luggages. There are some cabinets in which to put your stuffs. Be aware that the toilet and bathroom are behind a glass. You can see through. The staff clean the room every day. There are many chinese restaurants close the Splendour. From there, you wan reach China Town around 30 minutes.

Great hotel for room size and quality. $210 AUD late booking on Agoda. Comfortable bedding, all basic essentials, 43″ TV with youtube access and some basic channels fox movies and mostly local, basic bathroom products included. Towels ok. Bedding very nice. Clean and fresh smell in the room. Good WIFI. For the price a great deal in Singapore. Usually smaller room than this for the price and nice view and natural light so we love the room!
The only downside for travelers is the area is a local area with no bars, live music, chill places for tourist. We looked but… its more for “other” local malam butterfly style here. There is a bus sercice at the front though and MRT rail 10 minutes walk. So do outings and this is your base.
Food is great priced in the area though with many option Chinese or Indian. Street food options which we love.
All in all it is a great price for Singapore. Great room. The only – is the location and options for tourists. There may be some but we could only find food in walking distance 30 mins walk.
If you dont mind a walk to the MRT and daily outings all is great!
There were a lot of bad reviews, but it was clean and spacious! However, since there is a water purifier in the accommodation, we do not provide bottled water with a water bottle, but it was inconvenient that the water purifier could not be used due to Corona.

Very nice hotel with polite staff
Locations is good, near to all famous restaurant such as frog leg, beef noodles and chicken rice. Room and service are good.
Incredible value for money and amazing customer service. Rooms are clean and well designed as there’s storage drawers for your clothes, a tv, a mini fridge, (with complimentary drinks that are free!) kettle as well as bathrobes and slippers. A huge fan of the location as it’s on a nice quiet street right around the corner from Geylang Road which has a good variety of different restaurants and it’s also only a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest train station. I almost didn’t want to give it a good review because I’m worried it’ll be booked out the next time I want to stay.
UPDATE: It was actually booked out this year when I went to book
Very bad! I informed the hotel on the morning of my arrival that I could not enter Singapore and had to fly straight back to Germany. I was told that I would have to pay for one of the two nights booked. Ok, I found that nice and accommodating. However, nothing was refunded and my emails went unanswered! Very bad service!
Ganz schlecht! Ich informierte das Hotel am Morgen meiner Anreise dass ich nicht nach Singapur einreisen kann und direkt zurück nach Deutschland fliegen muss. Man sagte mir zu dass ich von den zwei gebuchten Nächten eine zahlen müsse. Ok das fand ich nett und zuvorkommend. Allerdings wurde nichts erstattet und meine Emails blieben unbeantwortet! There was no aircon in my room, smelled like cigarettes everywhere and the receptionist named Christina was extremely rude. Requested for a towel as there was a stain on it when we came. She said they were out of towels ???? Asked for directions and she couldn’t be bothered. Management should do something about her as I’ve seen the reviews and there are many complains about her. Overall an unpleasant stay.

The lobby isnt big but sufficient in size. The carpark is small but as mentioned, sufficient. The hotel room that got for 4 (with bunk bed) was very nice. Kids enjoyed the whole room experience throughout.
Clean bedsheets, towels, slippers and even all incl minibar. Pls dont expect high end minibar choices and keep your expectations at home if u wana compare to other places.

The transportation is convenient, the shopping is convenient, and the room is big enough, but there is a little smell, but it is clean. There are a few small holes in the sheets, which should be caused by too frequent cleaning. This should not be seen in Samsung. Hope to improve. The front desk reception is very polite and worth recommending. No photo was taken. Basically, it is consistent with the photos introduced by the hotel, and the content is consistent. Nice hotel to consider for a vacation.

The location is alright. The street is one way so the taxi drivers might have a bit of a time to drive here. The staff are excellent and the rooms done up quite nicely. For the cost performance this is a great place to stay.

Cosy place for a 4-girl staycation. We enjoyed how easy it was for us to get food.
A diamond set among garbage. When I got to the Geylang district, I was not holding out much hope for the hotel. I was pleased to find that this place was actually really nice. The staff were really nice and friendly and the rooms were well maintained and very new and tidy. It was just 2 mins walk of the main food walk of Geylang road, so plenty of options for eating.

When I advised there was no hot water at check out, the manager advised it was because I hadn’t turned on the switch.
When I said nobody had said there was a switch, she said “oh we don’t tell people because otherwise guests would get annoyed when they know there is a switch they need to turn on”
Her arrogance made it very clear that they have no intention of changing their procedures, even after guests complain about a bad experience that could and should have been handled differently.

The hotel is walking distance to the Singapore Stadium – a major concert venue. It makes it easier for a concert goer to stagger his/her way home after a night of rocking.
The water pressure for the shower was pretty weak. Air conditioning was not great as well.

We stayed here twice already and will love to stay again. Its affordable and room is very clean and good. The staff are also really nice. They are also located close to local restaurants and the metro, so it’s a very convenient place.

it is farther to the MRT than you think….rooms are smaller than advertised. toilet with transparent walls in the middle of the room (makes the room seem bigger than it is) interesting concept… you can share the most intimate… very bulky office chair taking too much space… singapore is well known for having very expensive hotels. this is a confirmation.

Good hotel. The family room is clean and well equipped. It is located about 10-15 min. Walk from the subway station, and 5 min. Walk from the bus station. The room was quiet at night and the mattresses comfortable.

Clean standard hotel
The street the hotel is located on seems fine, but some of the neighbouring streets can be a bit sketchy at night. To be fair, we probably wouldn’t have noticed had we not been told that the area used to be a red light district. The hotel itself is nice. The blanket smelled of body odour in one spot but other than that, there aren’t really any complaints. The interiors are relatively clean and spacious. There is also a complimentary mini bar in the room.
My choice of hotel to stay in Singapore
Hotel is OK. We slept with 4 people in a fairly small room, but it was OK. Everything clean. Nice personnel and about 600 metres from kallang MRT. No breakfast. Shower was warm, after pushing the heating button.

– some funny smell in the room so i had to let the air-con for 2 days to get rid of it.
– one of the in-room amenities (toothbrush/paste) has another hotel’s name on the packaging, so got you wonder where these are from.
– there’s stains on the sheet and duvet cover.
– i had to switch on the boiler to heat up the water or would be having cold showers.
– day-time reception barely speaks english so each time when i spoke with her, she looked really blank
– i left a pair of jade earrings in the room after check-out. somehow they still looked very pleased (no idea why?!) even they only managed to find one. do you think anyone would wear just 1 earring?
All-in-all, i wish i could give no star. One of the very few bad experiences ever!

First day, the housekeeping just clean the bed, not the bathroom. Only the second day that they clean it thoroughly.
The staff are great. They always says hello and bye, almost like welcoming us to our own home.
The only bad thing is the AirCon (AC) is directly blow at our face, so its very cold and we can’t get good sleep because we have to make the AC hot and cold over and over so we can sleep.

My favorite hotel to stay when I travel to spore as they will have bulk bed for kid n really suitable family stay.
The location is a bit inconvenient without a car, but the rooms are adequate. I am satisfied because the service is good. It is close to going anywhere in terms of distance, but there are no stations around.

Very strategic location. There is a bus stop just 200m away. A lot of food on the main street. Room is clean and spacious compare it price. There’s complement drinks in the small fridge.
We stayed for 4 nights in Singapore here and enjoyed our time. The room was clean and cool, and the TV was able to connect to our Netflix account which we didn’t expect but was awesome. One of the best hawker centres (food court) is at Old Airport road and only a 15 minute walk, and the MRT (think subway/transit) is a 10 minute walk. For a young couple those walks were easily doable and we didn’t mind them for the affordability of the hotel. If you don’t mind the walks I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great value hotel, if a little far from the subways. 15 min walk to the nearest subway station, 15 min walk to the nearest hawker centre (there’s a really great chili crab place there). Stayed in a two twin bed room, clean and new facilities. Good decor, if a little small. Room was supposed to complimentary beverages and snack, but I had to ask reception for it; cleaning must’ve forgotten to restock my room. Complimentary beverage was a 1.5 litre bottle of Fanta and can of beer. Also came with a small bag of chips. Bed was very clean and comfortable. Towels, tooth brush, toiletries were included.

This hotel provides everything we need for our family of 5 that needed to stay in the same room. The room is spacious for 4 adults and 1 baby. It’s located right across from the famous frog porridge place. There are tons of local restaurants around it.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for almost two weeks, it’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s quite neat and clean,with professional kind workers.
about 12 minutes walk to the kallang MRT station, there are many restaurants, laundromats and convenience stores around, if we come to Singapore next time, we will choose to stay here again.

We have stayed always at Hotel Five/Six when my S/O visits Singapore for a period of around 2 weeks every few months.
It is indeed a gem within geylang, everything about it is perfect.
Location, Price, Staff, comfort and cleanliness.
The staffs run the place perfectly.
This hotel has never disappointed me.
Special compliments to Ronny for keeping my S/O’s coat and never failing to greet us with his bright smile that makes our (especially mine) day.
If there is another time and hotel for us to choose to stay in SIngapore, we will definitely choose Hotel Five/Six again and again.

The place was VERY clean and new. Even the bathrooms are clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can ask for directions easily and they have computers in the lobby if you need to book anything. They also have water dispensers on some areas where you can get drinking water for free. Just bring your own tumbler.
I think the only downside was that the hotel is pretty far from the train station. You can still walk to the station but if you have kids or elderly, you might want to take a bus instead. The bus station is nearer which is just around the corner. Just be careful to take the correct bus route since more than 1 bus route passes by.
The hotel room is very comfortable. There is hot and cold water for bathing. A water dispenser is available to refill your drinking bottles. Towels are changed every day. Coffee, tea and sugar are refilled daily. There is a safe for valuables and a fridge. There is also a TV with a variety of interesting broadcast options.
3 star Hotel. Good room size. Some people may find the location shady. But it’s a fairly convenient place to move around.
