First time to do my grocery here. Fish and veggies are fresh. The place was maximized to get most of the things you need. Conveniently located at the basement of Junction 8 mall, connected to the MRT station and bus interchange. Tired after grocery? Get your snack or dine in at the Food Junction at the 4th level.

The items were ok, sometimes I enjoyed shopping here as the products are of high quality. However I encountered a self service payment machine problem yesterday night. I scan all my items but was not able to pay with my card. The assistant came over and suggest I paid by cash, but I don’t have any. So she asked to pay at counter, so I exclaimed that can I use other machines as I will not need to queue the long queue again. However, the assistant with a not so friendly voice, acknowledge me that the items that I have scanned in will become a problem… so she insisted I go for the payment at counter. Well, I ended up not needed to queue the long queue but just need to wait a few customers to clear.
I suggest that if the machine has problems, then just don’t let the customers use it. And if the same thing has been occurring for a few times, please provide a more reasonable explanation and directions on what to do next. I was not the one to blame if your machine went haywire, then I understand the situation but I don’t need to feel your frustrations as well. So please take care of the customers, thank you.

One of the NTUC bigger supermarkets is located on the basement, which is convenient for residents staying around that area and therefore, the mall is very crowed most of the time.
Convenient with lots of food to choose, not spacious branch so it can get too crowded at times… it would be good if we can pay directly at certain section instead of having to queue at cashier (auto or manned). E.g. Japanse Food stall, sometime I just want to buy the food and not groceries.

Last night brought some durian MSW cost $25 and D24 two packets cost $15 total $40. Unfortunately quality was so bad. Please see picture. D24 is half raw some more. The next day I need to take grab cost $10 just to go there refund my money. Arrived and look for the service manager. He was kind and helpful and understanding he check and o also show him the picture I took last night and I bring back the MSW packet of durian for him. Even though he didn’t apologise but at least he refund my money and the man who selling the durian I also tell him if durian not good don’t put in NTUC spoiled the name. Anyway my penang friend told me now is actually end of durian season and durian now is not as good as before so folks please be careful if you going to get some ok
This ntuc is at the basement and is convenient to shop even when you are not driving.

Fairprice Finest junction 8 is located at B1. It’s very convenient as car park is just right next to it. Fairprice Finest J8 offers wide variety and selection of fresh vegetables, fruits and poultry. Morning can get a little busy as many residents shop finest early in the morning. You can enjoy a cuppa coffee at yakun before or after your grocery shopping. Many snacks and bakery shops are just right outside fairprice finest at J8. There is also DBS and OCBC ATM if you need to draw cash inside Fairprice Finest.
Don’t go when it just opens at 8am. Only 2 cashiers. Only after 9am then I see more cashiers.
Best time to shop after 10 am, beco is 24 hrs operations. But, most of the fresh items are sold at this hour.
This place is inside Junction 8 and is quite big. Now there is selling many Chinese New year goodies and decorations. The Mandarin oranges are also on sale. You can choose and exchange bad orange on the spot. The supermarket also sell sushi.

Singapore local supermarket chain run by cooperative NTUC. It pays to check prices beforehand, especially those on special offer, which are not really lower price than what you can purchase at other local supermarkets like Prime, Giant or ShengSiong. The first thought when shopping at Fairprice (even for Fairprice Finest which is the premium supermarket of the NTUC chain) isn’t prices supposed to be lower and attractive for the working class Singaporeans being a cooperative managed by the biggest workers union in the country?

It’s a very solid NTUC Fairprice Finest outlet here at Junction 8. It’s probably the biggest one around Bishan area. It’s a classic Fairprice Finest, with top notch quality of vegetables, meat, and wines. Can’t quite complain. Located on the basement floor of Junction 8 mall. The layout isn’t as clean as other outlets like Thomson Plaza or Bukit Timah Plaza, but I was in and out in a pretty short time while getting my groceries for the week.

Today is unusual. My previous experiences were very good, the staff were always helpful. They will personally guide me to what I was looking for. Today is a different thing all together, by two different staff. 1st one was when I asked for help with a carton of 600ml pure drinking water. The lady said there’s none, and I had to point it to her. I asked the 2nd lady for the price of 300g Tobasco Sriracha sauce, as it was placed at the price tag for 60g. She said it was the price as stated on the tag, and went off doing her things. Was at Fairprice Finest Junction 8 at 2:30 pm on Sept 16th, 2020.

Opposite is Guardian, there are a lot of eateries on this floor also takeaways, after shopping from Fair price. There’s Unity, Bangawan Solo cake shop, a laundry shop, a restaurant, flower shop, medical herbal shop etc on this B1 of Bishan Junction 8. Above floors there’s lots to browse, shop/eat & a theatre & DBS & OCBC banks too. There’s the Circle Line, NE Line & Bus terminus & many more.

I worked here last weekend on an assignment and had a pleasant experience as the staff and TL are professional and friendly, and also approachable.
On the store front, there are many offers and there is great ambience shopping here. Also many promoters on duty to promote their products as there is a good crowd. There is a wide range of products and the store is very spacious. This makes it a great place to shop for groceries.
Shop here everyday, almost for all my grocery, especially the organic and mushroom. They are fresh everyday and well packaged. Self service counter for self payment works very rigidly and every step must be exactly the same.

Bishan NTUC does provide most of the daily needs as a regional medium size supermarket located in town center. Location of different sections are clearly defined, good signage helps a lot and the staff are very helpful although many of them are above retirement age. Direct access to basement car park is very convenient for shoppers who drive. It is a vibrant place and even more crowded on weekends. Price wise is quite the same compared to other NTUC regional supermarkets. Served by Bishan MRT stations and bus interchanges. Taxi stands are available in front of and behind the building. Another public multi storey car parks are connected to the building, Junction 8, makes shopping a much better place.

Staff are pretty kind, food selection is large and place is REALLY crowded during afternoons and weekends.(feels abit cramped sometimes) i love how they have a section for japanese goods and also korean.

As the name goes, this branch have a variety of products and most are good selections, thus finest.
Located at basement of junction 8, quite easy to find.
They also have a wine cellar, plant based food corner and quite well organized.
They have vegan food and vegetarian stuff too. And also a corner for products from other countries like Japan, NZ, Aust and TW…

A typical Fairprice Finest supermarket at this shopping mall operated by NTUC. The supermarket offers a wide choice of groceries, fresh frozen meats, seafood, vegetables and fruits.
Quite ok, only is variety not much
Could be better, items out of stock for more than two weeks, yet no replacement or alternative being proposed.
