Located just opposite to Safra Toa Payoh. It’s a good and unique one but not much playing options. The floor is of sand base instead of rubber unlike other kids play ground. So the kids’ clothes can get dirty with sand.

The Toa Payoh Dragon Playground at Lorong 6 Toa Payoh is one of two full-sized Dragon Playgrounds remaining in Singapore. The product of a time when the Housing & Development Board was building up its own brand of locally-inspired playgrounds, it has evolved into a heritage icon and reminder of a Singaporean childhood.

A playground that speaks of the days gone by. Playgrounds in Singapore used to be themed, unlike the rather generic playgrounds present in housing estates these days. Do take a trip to visit this nostalgic and iconic play area, and bring along your children!

Last of its kind playground from a different time & generation, sitting on a piece of cleared land in a modernizing town. Require some touch up works and adding more plays would make it a wonderful place to share this heritage with our kids. More of a sculpture. Not fun for kids at all.
Dirty sand, loads of ants and no items to play on/with. Excluding the nostalgia from other reviews this is probably one of the least fun play structures around. My Son was really disappointed when we went there as it looked fun from the road at least. Not recommended.

Nearest public car park is at 29 Lor 5 Toa Payoh, Singapore 310029. Take the walkway from behind the rubbish centre to lead to the playground as the empty field is pretty muddy.
If you are afraid of dirty or some ants then this is not the place for your kids, but come-on, didn’t we all grew up with sand playground and some ants running around?
Bring along some sand toys and your kid will have a great time here!
Note: nearest public toilet is opposite the busy road at Safra Toa Payoh, so as for your kids to pee, do it the nature way like how you used to do!

Have not been back to Singapore due to the pandemic for 4 years and decided to record some of the old buildings as well as facilities such as playgrounds. This is definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I remember that there were a few at east coast area when I was still young. Too bad they are all changed to the monotonous ‘safe’ design we see nowadays. Go and see this heritage and actually quite fun playground.
