The cheese platter tasted middling, as if someone put it together using stuff bought from a supermarket. The rest of the dishes were alright. I have had better tapas at cheaper prices.

Good location (with easy parking nearby, that too free for a place like Singapore! 😉 Good food. Went over the weekend, and their weekend brunch menu is a great value option – unlimited servings of most of the stuff I like. And for drinks, the option of wine or sangria is worth it.

(The white wine sangria or the beer selection are not things to write home about though. And it’s funny that the non alcoholic set includes soft drinks, but Coke and Fanta are allowed, not tonic water is not even though it is listed under the soft drink section of their regular menu).

Good service overall. And the ambience is nice – not loud, and the light levels are relaxing. One can even venture outdoors if the heat levels permit. Good place to bring kids too – they even have a kids’ brunch set. And small kids below a certain age can eat for free.

Pleasant ambience, great service offset the meagre portions and the average drinks. The tapas are delicious enough to distract one from the meagre portions. The Barbecued Chrizo portion is half a sausage, not more, so best avoided. The paella was delicious and we wouldn’t hesitate to have it again. The sangria was too sweet – seemed to have more juice/sprite in it than alcohol. On the whole it was an average expensive meal we had at the Don Quijote.

The food was average, but what was disappointing was the service and how slow the food took to arrive. Perhaps it was due to the large party that was held outside – but if you can’t handle the party outside as well as diners inside the restaurant, then it may have been better to just close the restaurant for the party.

We were seated at the back of the restaurant, and together with the other tables, we felt like the unwanted children of the house – ignored and unwanted.

For better Spanish food and top-notch service, a better place to head to is FOC at Sentosa.

Our family usually goes for the Sunday brunch. The sangarias are refreshing and fruity (but don’t drink and drive). The tapas on offer are well-selected and provide a hearty meal. Great for a slow brunch with the family.

The brunch was quite good pretty different from usual. I had the gazpacho good for a warm summer late morning. This pork knuckles really tender and ‘free from hair’. My kids love the pasta. Their food is not overly salty considering they are serving with alcohol. Free flow sangria plus brunch at 58+++. Kids at 19+++ free flow of juices and soft drink. The garlic prawns are heavenly

Good place for Tapas in Dempsey Hill. We ordered the croquetas, mushroom, egg plant, baby squid and also the fried milk for dessert. Everything was good except for the fried milk dessert which we think is a big miss. Service can be a little slow at times so hope they would get better.

We went here on a Sunday after a friend had recommended the place. We tried 5-6 tapas and they were all generally good. The spicy calamari and the prawns were the stand out dishes. We also ordered Sangria which we felt was a bit diluted but still tasty. The staff were friendly but the service was a little slow. It could be because we went there for a late lunch which coincides with the siesta

Went for the weekend brunch. Some of the food were too interesting. (Cold vegetable soup, and carnes pork trotters) Those that were good were really good.

Prices are on the average side for Spanish food.

A number of their dishes had mushrooms and they sure were great. The omelette and fried croquettes are must tries. The list of drinks too were amazing. Somewhere to go for a special occasion.

    Feel like tapas?

Don Quijote’s Gambas al Ajillo or Garlic Fried “Live” Prawns was simply delish!

A close second was their special of the day – Iberico Pork with caramelized onions, garlic sauteed asparagus and rock sea salt sprinkled on the side.

Yet another must-try, Tacos de Lomo Queso Azul or juicy and tasty Tenderloin Steak Cubes with Blue Cheese.

But if you’re a big fan of cheese and you were thinking of thick, chewy and stretchy Mozzarella cheese sticks when you order Palitos de Queso or cheese sticks? Do note that it’s more like puff-pastry kinda bread sticks smeared with some cheese. Nonetheless, it’s still somewhat satisfying especially when you eat it while it’s hot!

Just four dishes, between the two of us, and we were stuffed. But if we had more stomach space, we would’ve definitely ordered their Carrillada en Reducción de Vino Tinto – beef cheek in red wine reduction and also their Scallop Shells topped with scallop and crab meat in Bechamel sauce. Guess we’ll just have to do that on our next visit!

The total bill was upwards of $100 after taxes but it was money well spent!

    Love,

Went for the weekend buffet brunch. We managed to get most of our orders through., but some never reached us. I guess it had to do with the increase in crowd. We had a very loud group of people partying next to us, like with microphone and all. but the manager didn’t think of asking them to tone down. So it was a very loud experience for us, frankly we just escaped at the end.

The quality of service drops drastically as more guests arrive

We came here to celebrate farewell for a colleague. As you can see, we ordered quite a lot of food (we tried more than half of what they have in the menu) but I didn’t manage to take all the photos of the food. Overall, the food is not bad. Some are good, while others are just average. For tapas, I’d really recommend the tenderloin steak cubes with blue cheese ($21). The blue cheese dip is served separately and though I’m not a fan of blue cheese, I must say that it’s very mild and nice. I also like the garlic fried mixed mushroom ($10) and the fried sweet potatoes. The spanish ham (Jamon Serrano) is not bad ($18). The bbq chorizo sausage ($10) taste very normal and it came burnt. Don’t think it’s worth trying this at all. For the mains, I would recommend the arroz negro paella (large:$65). It’s really really good. We also ordered the paella de carne (large:$65) but this doesn’t taste as nice as the negro paella. The downside would be, we waited for 2 hours for both paellas! So, this place is worth trying if you know how to order the right food.

Tlr. Great place with fantastic tapas and a killer Sangria.

2 of us shared 3 tapas, a grilled fish angel hair pasta and a jug of Sangria. Total damage was ~$70. Visited the place at 7pm and it was pleasantly 1/3 occupied so our dishes came fast. All the tapas and pasta were delicious, but special highlight was the awesome Sangria which is a must-try.

We actually asked the wait staff about the type of red wine used but apparently it’s a trade secret Fair enough, but it does set the precedent for my future Sangria!

Fantastic Spanish food. Just slightly noisy. Got the oxtail stew, grilled spicy calamari and bread pudding. All were amazing

Went for the brunch buffet. Food was preety nice, we liked the crab meet dip and oven baked eggplant. Food was still served in quite solid portion. Staff was very friendly except one looks very busy and was always rushing away while putting our food to table.

Tried the weekend brunch. Food items were hit and miss.. the preparation of some items looked very rush as if it’s fast food..

Ambience is cosy. Service is fast. Food is good. Tapas and sangria make for a warming combi.

The tapas – mushrooms, spicy squids -, mushroom soup and the quarter-size suckling pig were very well prepared, cooked and served. Mama Mia! Delicious and simply yummilious. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the couple next to me were talking non stop. The great ambience of the place was spoilt. Otherwise the restaurant has a classy and cosy setting. Keep up the good work, servers and chef.

Chuletón (steak)is amazing. The meat is perfectly cooked: tender inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. There is no effort in biting due to the quality of the meat. Really worth going here just to eat the steak.

Also noteworthy is the alcohol selection. They have a great sparkling to which they have named their terrace and a great selection of Spanish reds and whiskeys.

Food was good, service was slow. We went early and only 2 servers, working 3 tables. Some items not available, the waiter went to verify but never let us know they were not or ask if we would like something else.

Seafood is not fresh . Mussels and prawn tastless and do have the “bouncy” type of bite chew . The beef become tough like chewing gum when get cold . Beef doesn’t serve hot. Just lukewarm

The ambience and staff was nice, but we found the food to be average. The desserts were amazing and I also liked the vegetarian paella (though it had extra salt), but the steak was quite bland. Overall, it is a good place to visit once and try Spanish cuisine.

After going through a few patas I feel that the standard is still not near to those from the Barcelona. This is my personal opinion.

Family was there on Sunday a la carte brunch buffet $38 with juice / soft drinks or $58 with Sangria/beer. Overall good value, service and quality 4

IMHO, better dishes were the scrambled eggs, pumpkin leek soup, garlic shrimp, eggplant, croquettes, gazpacho soup, crab avocado dip, meatballs and pasta.
