DENNIS from Don Don Donki square 2 is most helpful! I reserved and bought 2 cartons of food from here, he escorted and accompanied us to our car (parked all the way at novena square 1 velocity!) Pushing his own trolley and came back to square 2 with his trolley. We are tha most most thankful to Dennis!

    Very crowded….

Cashier counter many closed while super long queue…

Interesting SOP as cashier wouldn’t do bagging for you, and you’re encourage to do bagging at designated bagging station, available after cashier area.

    Plastic additional charge $0.10

About 9pm later, there will 20%+- discount for food such as sushi.

Overall is good experience except long queue.

If you’re a fan of Japanese food, Don Don Donki is definitely a must visit! Filled with all kinds of Japanese goodies, from hot to frozen to all kinds of snacks and drinks, there’s something for everyone here. Many of their items are air-flown directly from Japan, so you can be assured of the quality and taste. One of their more popular desserts is the Happy Souffle Roll, which has a fluffy light sponge filled with milk cream and best eaten straight out of the fridge.

As at 13 March 2020 there is a queueing system to enter and via entrance at MRT level only. You can descend the escalator from L1 to the supermarket but have to exit to join queue to enter.

One of the smallest don don donki in Singapore. Selection of supermarket stuff is modest compared to its sister branches . However cook food section is quite decent as probably their target audience is the office workers and hospital visitors than housewives . Fruits and vegetables selection is ok but drinks selection is very lacking. Snack and instant noodles may not be as many as other branches . Sufficient seating area if you intend to dine on the spot. If you are looking for groceries shopping head down to City Square or orchard central branch instead.

Don don Donki! What is there not to like about the place. Whilst smaller than their flagship outlet in Somerset, this Don Don Donki has a dedicated area for you to sit and enjoy any foodstuff you have bought from them. Closing at 12pm also allows office workers who are leaving from the CBD late (around 9-10pm) and have yet to o have dinner stop at Novena MRT and have a quick warm meal before heading home.

The Supermarket is fantastic. The Food Court inside , I have doubt. Tried the Stall name Niku Syukudo. For $13 for Oyakodon . I think Ichiban restaurant still the best. A bit tasteless based on my own. Portion also quite small. Miso Soup diluted. Yet to try the Hokkiado Ramen. Next time maybe. …

Don Don Donki Square 2 is a very bustling and lively shopping mall that specialize in Japanese goods.

Due to the huge working crowd at Novena area, this Don Don Donki has many bento sets, sushis, udons and many other meals that you can takeaway for lunch and dinner.

There are many snacks and drinks have a lot of variety. The fruits are very sweet and fresh.

It’s located at the level (B1) of Novena Mrt.

Great variety of food, fresh, frozen or otherwise. Can try the bentos, etc. They are surprisingly good even if they are all pre-prepared. Heat it up later and they still taste good.

Lot of stuffs you can get from the shop. I just hate that it whole place is so narrow and pack to the top. The aisle is narrow and only one person space. They really pack the place to max. Not great for push chairs or wheelchairs to access.
The queue is very quick but you had to pack your own stuffs at the end of the counter once you paid.

Large store filled with many goodies imported from Japan ranging from cup noodles, sweets, food & drinks and even vending machine near the exit. It is located right indoors near the exit of Novena MRT which makes it very convenient. The dining area has been closed off for now due to dining in restrictions so do take note.

Due to covid, entrance to the store is pretty counterintuitive if you were entering from United Square 2. After taking the escalator down, you would have to walk through the row of cashiers and exit just to enter a queue to enter the store. Could alternatively take a left turn after exiting the mrt station to enter. Regular/lucky patrons would enter this way, but first timers would probably follow google maps and take the former route.
Probably the smallest selection among all the Don Quihote. Pretty much only food. Better off visiting other outlets. Also due to covid and the “one way” queueing, was taken aback when staff told me After I made payment that I had to re-queue (roughly 30mins) to re-enter, to buy coffee just to walk through the entire store to sit. Patrons could benefit more if the drink stand was stand alone or had a separate ordering window, like the ones at somerset and farrer park.

It is often said that it is hard not to leave DDD without a bag in hand, much less 2 for my case. The store assistants and cashier were really friendly during my visit and that helped set the pace for a wonderful shopping experience. We usually go for the cooked food , like gyoza , cutlets , sashimi and sushi.
There are others as well but after a while , it gets too boring and predictable.
Maybe they should add some new specials so that there can be more variety

Large store filled with many goodies imported from Japan ranging from cup noodles, sweets, food & drinks and even vending machine near the exit. It is located right indoors near the exit of Novena MRT which makes it very convenient. The dining area has been closed off for now due to dining in restrictions so do take note.

Located at basement one in Square 2, this Don Don Donki outlet is easily accessible from Exit A of Novena MRT station. Though the store is smaller than the other outlets, there is still a nice range of items available here. It is nice that there is also seating area for you to enjoy your meal after you have purchased it from the store.

Wide varieties of cooked food compared to other outlets and I’m glad they started earlier in morning. Like to come here to buy salmon, chicken etc for cooking too. Limited veggie selection thou…. The walkway towards cashier is cramp… Feels awkward to stop and browse at drinks/snacks coz it’ll block customers from walking to cashier.

Smaller outlet, esp compared to the City Square and Orchard Central ones. However, the narrow corridors, exposed ceiling, actually gives it a closer feel to the outlets in Japan.

Full of everything japanese from snacks to drinks, seasoning and fresh produce. Came here to get some Japanese beef and so pleasantly surprised to find the cooked food section. So reasonably priced and there is standing counter for quick consumption after cashier payment if you are not taking it home

This place stocks some of the most extensive ready to eat products, like pizza, ramen, mazesoba, seafood gratin that I used to find only at Harbourfront’s branch. I can’t compare this to the flagship at OC, but it is enough, being convenient.

Nice Don Don Donki outlet conveniently located at B1 of Square 2 mall that is linked to the Novena mrt station. Offers a decent variety of japanese sushi, bento sets and other products. There is a long table bench for you to enjoy your food but seating is very limited. The queue at the cashier is usually quite long especially during peak hours.

Not the biggest store, hence the variety and range of product can’t match the bigger stores at orchard central and city square mall. Still stock the seasonal produce, the signature cooked food section and most basic necessities. with daiso on a few levels up, its still a go-to for a quick fix which is close enough for a quick hop.

Too many allowed in thus causing human blockage at every corner of already tightly arranged shelves.

Wanted to have a simple lunch at DDD. Joined the Q for Katsu Don, $7.90 + 50c for seaweed and beans rice. When I gave my order, cashier says to fill in a form! So I had to get the form and fill. There was only 1 other person behind me. She quickly stepped up and got her order first. I wonder if there were more people, would I have had to Q again? I wrote ‘less sauce’ on the form. Waited. After a while, no one said anything and I realised there’s a container/plastic bowl at the end of the counter. It was my order. The server only spoke Mandarin. I didn’t understand but since I’m the only one, it was mine. Full of sauce, pork crust soggy with sauce, cutlet tough like leather and very little rice, even for a small eater like me.
    First and last time.
Pix 1: Don looked good (best part of the meal was the vegetable soup. Full of veg)
Pix 2: Pork was very tough
Pix 3: Lots of soggy crust and some inedible pieces of pork

The layout was a bit cramped and confusing especially now with covid measures have to go to the other side for entry. Perhaps I went there too early but a lot of the bentos weren’t displayed yet. Also missing my favourite matcha warabi mochi. Quite disappointed. But it’s probably due to unfortunate timing. The one at clarke quay seems better hehe

Absolute favorite store to takeaway cooked bentos, sushi and sashimi platters. Fresh, delicious and fantastic value! Come before peak meal hours when the meals are hot out of the kitchen.

Food is miles better than any family “Japanese” restaurant. This store is smaller but less crowded, so more time to browse the shelves.

Highly recommend getting their beef too, the pictures speak for themselves.

Shermaine was very helpful and responsive towards my enquiries. The mass of some fresh items were not indicated on the packaging, and she walked through the store with me to check on the item, and went above and beyond by offering to inform me the next day after finding out the information, which she did on the same day actually. I was impressed and felt very appreciative of her kind gesture. Shermaine also exudes a very friendly vibe which made interactions with her a comfortable one, making the overall shopping experience enjoyable. I hope more staff can be like her, and that she gets recognized by management for the great service and customer service.

I was never attracted to walk in because the name just did not sound like a supermarket. It sounded more like a game arcade.

But my recent first visit was an eye opener. They sell very fresh airflown seafood and supermarket stuff of all kinds from Japan. And at a very low price. They also sell cooked food for take away or for consumption on location (when COVID restrictions are lifted).

I have discovered a wonderful supermarket and learned that I should not judge a place by its name.

This Donki outlet only has food-related grocery items. My favourite find is Calpis drink plus the 500 mL Yakult which I heard is just limited edition. I like reading the handwritten signs — makes grocery shopping personal and fun. Tip: install Google translate app on your phone to read the packaging.

The dining area is still closed though . Hopefully it reopens in 2022.

I dont have an issue with the products or service. Things are aplenty here as with all other outlets.

But this outlet certainly has a weird entry and exit. You got to go to the exit to enter, and go to the enter to exit. Weird huh? The only way you circumvent this is if you come by train and enter/exit (i dont even know which word to use) right smack at the right direction/door?

Happy merry go round if you drive and take the lift / escalator. Worse … if you need a trolley

Do not buy food here unless you intend to eat somewhere else. This don don donki is located in the basement in square 2 and connected to novena mrt so it is quite convenient to access. Unfortunately, there are no places for you to enjoy your meal here after purchasing them. So it is more for office workers to buy food here and eat them at their office. Food is of acceptable quality and standard. Their prices used to be cheap but increased their prices quite abit so now it is slightly high but they provide a great variety of food.
