I just think DTF is way overrated, many dishes are not as authentic as the real local counterparts. But the crab meat xiaolongbao is indeed the best.

Best place to have xiaolongbao. Xiaolongbao is a pao with some soup and meat in it. Because the skin is thin and easy to tear, one bite will send the hot soup in it into your mouth. The combination is heavenly.
Pork chop fried rice is one of my favorites. Fried rice is not too oily or wet, consistency is just nice. Pork chop looks quite sufficient as well.
Happy to come regularly, if not for long queue and pricey food.

Always getting great service at DTF. The food quality is consistent. It’s not the most amazing food, and it’s also not the cheapest, but service standards are always there. The SOPs are always excellent and it’s a lovely place to have lunch and stay past lunchtime and sip tea like a boss.

Great food and attentive service. Took a friend from out of town for dinner there and she + her bf enjoyed it a lot. I see families dining here quite often too, not such a formal setting. If you’re unsure of what to get, it’s still possible to to share the food you’re getting and try different things on the menu. Most of the staff speak Chinese mandarin, so be patient if you prefer speaking in English (they’re still lovely though). Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

They are famous for a reason. While I am not a fan of their food, my son is. They cook the best egg fried rice ever, and they are ever so accommodating towards my request for less oil, less salt and no MSG. All outlets are very well-trained. Unlike other restaurants that sometimes give me a weird look when I make healthy requests like these, DTF responds promptly and just includes the request naturally. I like their Hong You Chao Shou. I have tried the same dish at various restaurants around the world, but none can come close to this. Lastly, their service is impeccable, for a restaurant that isn’t even really that expensive.

Food was good as usual. The waitress was prompt and courteous. I would have given 5 stars if not for the disgraceful behaviour of the lady cashier. Upon seeing that the guy queuing up behind me was a Caucasian, she flashed him a smile and gestured at him to cut in front of me. As she was about to process his payment, I questioned her actions. In response, she dismissively brushed me off and continued processing the guy’s payment with a smile.

!! Lousy food not worth its price !!

    – deep-fried special marinated pork chop (炸排骨) is the worst pork chop I have ever eaten in my life at a restaurant. It is bland and nothing special just like hawker food standard. Not worth the price.

    – stir-fried Hong Kong kailan with special sauce (三味芥兰) is another dish to avoid. Many Zi Char stalls are cooking this vegetable way better.

    – fried rice with shrimps & eggs (虾仁蛋饭) and fried rice with shredded pork & eggs (肉丝蛋饭). The rice is overcooked and this dish is bland in general. You’ll probably need to add chilli sauce or soy sauce so that you can finish it.

During phase 2 heightened alert we came here to dine in (2 pax) staff service was the same, perfect as always. Ordered the hot and sour soup but the soup was blend and there was no sour or spicy taste at all! The rest was the basic, fried rice with pork, mushroom noodle. Overall would give 5 star if the soup was excellent but no. After we ate, my partner and I went home, several hours later, we had diarrhea, after we ate at this place, we just had water and no other food. Really caused us a lot of trouble. Thinking back, i am sure the kitchen staff did not practice good and clean hygiene as both of us were in the toilet for quite sometime. Please do a deep inspection in the kitchen to make sure the chefs do wash their hands with soap properly before handling food. Better yet, wear gloves

Noodle with minced pork in bean sauce is a letdown. Not up to expectations, so so. Not a dish that you want to come back for more.
Oriental wanton with black vinegar & chilli oil. Tasty & not spicy. Like it.
Fragrant Pork with crushed garlic. This is also a must try dish. Love this.

Maybe because i was there earlier (10mins to 5pm), it wasn’t crowded and i requested to sit on a round table instead. The service was prompt and foods were served quite quickly. The fried rice with pork chop was very well done (better than other branches) and my spicy noodle was fragrant and spicy. Yum! I would have given 5 stars if i didn’t need to ask for tea refill so often (and not charged for water)

If there were 6 stars, I’d give it!

Went in a 8.40pm at this outlet and the staff were kind enough to allow us despite the place closing at 9.30pm. The host informed us that they close at 9.30pm and asked us if we were okay with it. He then went on to say that we need to order online and get the staff to scan the code and the food will follow. While we were at the entrance, he warned us that while we are eating they would ask us to pay for to food so they can close their accounts, and we agreed as we understood.

Staff are always courteous, attentive and efficient and their service remains consistent at all their outlets like City Square Mall, Orchard Road, Marine Parade that I have visited.

DTF has always consistent, and I’m truly appreciative of how DTF at NEX is also the same. Fairly large outlet at the corner of the mall, closer to the MRT exit, but they’re still quite full. Classic prawn fried rice, xiao long bao, and the szechuan spicy wanton, are definitely my go-to favourites. Stir fry spinach with garlic is also my usual order, as I need my vegetables at the end of the day. Really enjoy the service, the quality and the quantity of food here at din tai fung, always.

The service staff stroked off items that were out of stock from our order list before we ordered. But after we placed the order, we realised there was 1 more appetizers missing. The fried rice is, as usual, fragrant and nicely cooked. Really amazed with their use of short grain rice to ensure that the rice blends well with the egg which makes this dish really appealing to the senses.

The vegetable dish is also nicely done, the garlic doesnt overpower the dish and their xiao long bao is not that bad either.

Worth mentioning that wait times could be slighty longer during peak dinner hours till around 9pm but if ure willing to wait then its worth the visit!

Orders were placed without fuss, although a tad too rushed… We were told that two dishes we ordered were not available, but no suggestions or further recommendations were offered. Food is okay but service staff really dont know what they are doing. Asked for 1 plate of additional vinegar, waited for 20mins sitll no where to be found. Next, another service staff came with another plate of egg fried rice which we did not order. Told them that the vinegar is still missing but still no actions taken.

Some how this restuarnt has lost some of its magic probably because of the aftermath of the covid lock down. Staff couldn’t comprehend English well when customers were Chinese. They had many Indian customers. Chit sheet for order had text too small to read. Being 2 generations of senior citizens even glasses we had could not help us to read. The solution, we used the phone cam. We order wrongly anyway.

    Location: Nex
Price: Average SGD $38 per person.
Taste: Best xiao long bao. Great pork chop fried rice. The rest are good too.
Service: You take a number and wait, then fill up your order on order sheet and wait some more, then your number is called and you are lead to your seat, then they will confirm your order. Then you wait again for food to be served, then you eat, go counter pay and go.
Atmosphere: Large place, decent size table. Comfortable spacing between table. No background music.
Pros: Inside aircon shopping mall. Best xiao long bao. Great service.

Ting Tai Fung is a household name here since the establishment arrived from the land of Formosa, making its presence felt as a guarantied staple for mainly Chinese patrons. It’s various varieties of pork, veggies and seafood dumplings are a must try on every table. Its pork rib or chicken boiled soup are a to-die dish, well to me at least . The variety of fried rice, noodles and veggie dishes just keep us coming back again and again. What I like about this restaurants is that whichever one you may go to on the Island, the food standards are very much the same. Most of them are in one of the many shopping malls so parking or transportation is not an issue.

The wait on a Thursday evening for a party of 4 is pretty short. Roughly 15 to 20 minutes wait. As a vegetarian, the menu thoughtfully incorporated vegetarian options. Came here last evening at about 7.45pm and was hoping that the waiting time would be manageable. Upon arriving, we saw about 10-15 people standing outside and thought it would take at least half an hour. To our surprise, we waited barely 10 min before being promptly directed to our table. Service was great as usual, and I’m astonished at the speed of how fast the dishes were served. My favs remain the fried rice with shrimps and eggs, the spicy wanton and the yam bun

It is located justby the entrance from the Link Bridge/Multi Storey Car Park direction. It is one of the many branches in Singapore. As usual you can see their Dim Sum Chefs preparing their Dim Sums through transparent kitchen glasses. There are many varieties of Dim Sums to order from. Most of which are delicious and prces are affordable.Getting here is easy as the mrt stn and public bus stop are just by NEX.
The car park is within the building. Can also park at the HDB multi storey car park just across the road and walk a short distance by using the link bridge at the roof level.

If u’re craving for a comforting bowl of 台湾红烧牛肉面, DTF is probably still the safest bet. 清甜的 broth, tender briskets, chewy noodles, topped it up with your preferred qty of chilli oil, and you will undoubtedly be satisfied!

The service here is good. However, I feel the food isn’t really tasty and doesn’t justify the price. For example, their Dan Dan Mian is supposed to be one of their famous dishes, but just noodles tossed with peanut sauce (no meat nor vegetables) costs almost $10 after service charge and GST. The peanut sauce has very little nut or sesame flavor. The noodles are so under-seasoned I have to add copious amounts of chili, soy sauce and vinegar just for there to be some taste. Instant Taiwanese brands like Lao Ma Ban Mian make far better Dan Dan Mian. The only reason I eat here is my son loves their Xiao Long Bao, and because the space is big, there is usually not a long wait.
