This is one of the best chicken rice I have tried so far. The steamed chicken is tender and moisty. The rice is fragrant and flavorful, it can be eaten by itself. The chicken set is served on a bed of mung bean sprouts and sliced cucumber, and on the side with leafy vegetable. I find the soup too peppery, and didn’t liked it.

This place is a monthly visit requirement even pre pandemic

Enjoyed the chicken rice (good portions), the Yong Tau Foo was good (more variety would be nice) and price was reasonable for sure.

Biggest issue with me since day 1 I visited here was the tiny tiny tables. 2 person to a tiny table is just super crowded and uncomfortable. 2 tables seating 2 people (as per the required regulations) would not breach the space and distance requirements. So hopefully they can look into this.

The food can be nice, the staff can be wonderful but when the set up is uncomfortable, the whole experienced is compromised. Again, hope they will look into this.

My favourite food there is Tom Yam as it is mild spicy and you can choose your noodle and ingredients. If you dont want noodles, you can try their chicken rice. It is delicious. If you want something light, you can go for their dumplings.

I’m a regular customer at this eatery for a few years and I always come back for Yong Tau Foo as love the varieties of flavours that they have.. The Hakka sauce and the tomyum is to my liking that I can eat dinner here 5 days consecutively. Also, the price is cheap. A bowl of YTF 5/6 pieces with noodles WITH a can drinks cost me on average $5-6. For such price and the taste, along with convenient location, it’s a go to place for people who live nearby. Although the cleanliness of the place may not be up to your standard expectation, it’s a good place to try

Im a fervent fan of the branch at clementi. What i ordered , hakka kway teow ytf, was…weak tasting as compared to the clementi counterpart and the cook even left out 2 pcs of food item after i made purchase and sent my food items for refrying and prepping. Luckily the cashier was understanding and replaced the items that were left out. This review was simply based on my first time eating there and just from ordering 1 dish and thus isnt representative of the other items in the menu

I had the YTF with clear soup and i have to say that the dish was quite light and felt healthy. The soup was not salty and the vegetables were fresh as it was kept in the fridge.

The only issue i had was the variety. But i guess it was because of the time of my visit (7.30pm).

Overall, it was a healthier choice.

Cutlery washed unclean. Lots of weird marks on the spoon and fork. Could see another customer looking to double clean the cutlery before using. Something they could work on. They’re the only chicken rice stall around the Bukit Gombak area (which serves “authentic” chicken rice) hence they won’t go out of business that fast. Food is decent, got the drumstick and it was tender, though the sauce was tasteless, veggies on the side were well cooked but also lacked flavour.

hygiene really needs to be improved on.

Giving this place 5 stars just because of the service. I’m based abroad and wanted to order a delivery for a friend back home. Unfortunately I don’t have a SG number and couldn’t use the local delivery apps, even the website didn’t seem to be working. I contacted the whatsapp number and whoever was on the end of it was extremely helpful to the end. They arranged my delivery for me along with a personalised note that I requested and provided live updates of the entire process. Honestly really made my day, will definitely patronise in person when I return home

IF THE CHICKEN RICE IS A REAL PERSON I WOULD TAKE HIS / HER HAND IN MARRIAGE I SWEAR TO GOD! The quality, the taste, the chicken oh my god is so effing perfect every time i come by and buy it. The consistency is flawless. The SOUP itself is a beautiful masterpiece. It whats i define as a SOUP not just water and some leaves. You can just pop some white frangrance rice in the soup and let gordon ramsey have a sip of it he will cry in delight. The portion for of rice and chicken is matchmake in heaven. The chicken is beautifully roasted and juicy that you wish every bite is unlimited. When i am confused with what to eat for lunch or dinner, they have never failed to fill my stomach. Come and try it. I assure you that you will be coming back for more. Chicken rice is loved. Please be open forever!!!
