This Daiso is HUGE! Tucked away in the 2nd basement of Chinatown Point, this cavelike space has warren-like aisles packed with food, snacks, electronics, crafting supplies, stationery, home decor and even gardening supplies! Worth the visit even if you don’t pick anything ion. Browser’s Heaven, just like Don Don Donki not too far away at Central.

I frequently shop at Daiso & was surprised to find this branch at Chinatown similar to ones I found in Japan where they sell other value-for-money items at higher prices ie more than the usual $2 / item. I will definitely come back here more often!

It’s easy to spend an hour or more shopping in this large Daiso due to its large selection of items!

Love that they sell many convenience pantry/kitchen items for ready-to-cook meals.

They have dried Hijiki seaweed which I normally buy from DonDonDonki or Japanese supermarkets. Love their various types of seaweeds and well-priced bottled spices and sauces. They also have a good range of Furikake (rice or sushi toppings), other items of interest would be sugar free beverages, matcha salt/yuzu salt (?!?!?), Sichuan spice powder (?!?!?!!!!)

    What a fun shopping experience!!

I always try to avoid going in during peak shopping hour and also late hour before closing. The queue is a mile long. While during closing, the staffs who always not present when you need them will all fall-in, go around with strick and firmly repeating: “Thank you, good night, see you again”. At the same time you’ll hear music that play in slow “Auld Lang Syne”.

Whether it’s worth the $2 depends on what you are buying. I won’t recommend buying those fancy themed paper, toothpicks or plastic utensils cos it’s like five pieces for $2 like seriously. If it’s stuff like dehumidifiers, porcelain ware or Thirsty Hippo equivalent then it’s more worth it.

This is a colossal shout-out to the benevolent staff at both the DAISO HQ Admin / Enquiry Desk and DAISO Chinatown Point.

Desperate at short notice, I had to procure 28 of the boxes (as appended in the picture) for my daughter’s Family Fiesta preparation; but never did I expect the aforementioned team to notify me of the availability of the boxes the very next day – even down to the number of boxes as of the time of their call and email.

DAISO’s empathetic and prompt response certainly made our day!

To the outstanding people at DAISO, I just can’t thank all of you enough.

Daiso at Chinatown is quite spacious, almost you can find anything at SGD 2. There is another corner name Threeppy where pricing ranging from $5.80 to $21.80 with different varieties (household, cushions, different size of boxes, containers, pet toys, gardening, tools, skincare, stationers, gardening, art&craft items, etc)

@Chinatown Very convenient location by MRT combine with Threeppy. The store (or Daiso generally) don’t know how to identify good items which run out of stock and not replenished. Lack of variety of good items. Threeppy is very lacking of useful items. Unfruitful time spent.
