It is our first time here at a Japanese bespoke bar in sg. Their staffs are all Japanese. Impeccable service except for one particular waiter in blue. We asked him for cocktail recommendations, he says all are nice, period. He just refuse to recommend anything popular. So I simply ordered a cocktail that looks nice from their IG. Later, I went to take a photo at the bar with my cocktail and he didn’t allow me to, saying there will be guests or something but there’s no one at all! I mean, I wouldn’t wanna take a photo at the bar if it’s full of patrons right. Common sense pretty distasteful I must say being served by this dude! I mean, shouldn’t you be happy someone is taking photo and posting online for YOUR PUBLICITY? I’m not sure if this is their culture, but I felt he’s quite rude and unfriendly?

Thankfully, later we were being served by a lady and another guy in white. They are super attentive and recommended us food as well. Uni pasta wasn’t too bad. Beef sando is okay. Their fruity cocktails are light, refreshing and delicious!

Lastly, when we called for the bill, there’s no receipt at all. Same rude dude just simply asked for our card. We only knew the pricing after the card got swiped. Bill came up to $500++ for 4 pax.

Overall, I would recommend or might even return if this rude dude improve on his customer service !

Been there several times but my first review on D.Bespoke. Nice and cosy environment, classy and you get the most vintage whiskey selection in this place. All customized to your liking and tip top first class service. If you have a deep pocket to burn, go for it!

Was introduced to this bar by colleague. Seating is along the long bar and you have a view of their selections across the length of the wall. There are quite a selection of international and special Japanese customised whiskey. Service is good, there are no menu for the whiskey as the price per shot is on bottom of the bottle.

Attention to detail is the key attribute here. The only thing understated is the front entrance, and from the moment you walk in, exceptional is on the table.
Knowledgable, sincere staff, always attentive and pre-emptive in helping your evening along, vast curation of high quality whiskies and other goodies, and stunning glassware. If you’re going premium and enjoy whisky, this is the place.

It indeed feels like drinking in a bar in Ginza. The classic drinks are excellent, easily customized, the array of rare cognacs and armagnacs are a joy to sample, the food is also a cut above. Service staff are attentive and the mood here is one of quiet discretion. Come to unwind and rest after a long day and enjoy yourself till it closes. I enjoyed the old fashioned, the Manhattan, the sezarac, the negroni, and the boulevardier.

Was a bit thrown off walking into the entrance, but once you get in the bar it is a nice place. Nice decor, comfy chairs, etc. Beware of prices though or you’ll be in for quite the surprise (two old fashioneds for $88).

Quiet quaint Japanese bar. Called in and reservation was made easily for a party of 7.

    Service was very attentive.
Drinks were not too bad. A tad on the more expensive side but not overboard.
    Bites were well made.

D.Bespoke is on the pricier side but you’re paying for top level service and a superior delivery of drinks. Food wise I enjoyed the sandos a lot, especially the pork katsu sandwich. Don’t sleep on their shochu based cocktails!

too lazy to read the menu?
this is the place for you. they offer bespoke (custom made) drinks for you by talking with a bartender and telling what you like and don’t.
strong, sweet, sour, vodka based or other. they will create a drink for you

BUT great drinks come with the price.
    I had 3-drinks for $121 SGD.

    TLDR:
    – If money is not a concern, feel free to drop by for a drink, but don’t come for the food.

    Background:
    – Dropped by for a visit on a Monday night as this place was recommended by a friend of mine. Apparently, we have different reviews for the bar.

    Environment:
    Good:
    – Cosy ambiance and soothing music.
    Bad:
    – We had a big table for a group of 5. The sofa, despite its luxurious look, is uncomfortable for one’s back. The table height is also uncomfortable for dining.
    – The corridor is too narrow if those bar sits are occupied (wide sofa).

    Food:
    – Too salty and oily for the chicken karaage, the meat is also not tender enough.
    – Uni cream pasta is oily, but tastes okay.

    Drink:
    – Manhattan tastes great, one of the better ones I’ve had in Singapore.
    – I’ve tried three of the five cocktails from the tea series, not a huge fan of the taste, but my friends like them.

    Price:
    – Over-priced without any detailed breakdown.

    Rating:
    – I’m on the fence of giving 2 or 3 stars, but eventually choose the lower end because of the overwhelming positive rating.

Amazing service and every drink is prepared by the owner (as far as I could tell).

Drinks are pricey though and there are no posted prices. Expect about $35-$40 for a normal cocktail and $75+ for a glass of whiskey.

They make really good classics with uncommon liquor. Great service from the Japanese staff, but pretty lackluster one from the local wait staff. Lounge chairs are comfortable and made for long conversations over several glasses of cocktails.

Decorated like a gentleman’s club in 1980, the bar has beautiful soft leather armchairs, and the Japanese staff are impeccably polite. Overall it’s a fraction too much though, our water glasses being refilled after one sip, the nuts replenished after two were eaten. And the prices are wild!

    Not a very enjoyable experience.

The decor is nice and the seating is comfortable, but the vibes are horrible… the staff constantly tell you to shush anytime you speak above a whisper or have a laugh. Second issue, the drinks taste ok (nothing special to be honest) but are like $35/drink, and just feel really overpriced. This place isn’t really suitable for a group of more than 2 people

Wow, this place is sublime. If you want to impress your date (or anyone!) take them there. The interior seems like a stunning cross between a colonial smoking room and prohibition styles. Absolutely stunning.

The name says it all – it’s known for truly bespoke cocktails – tell the bartender what you like (and don’t like) and they will craft you a delectable tipple from their vast knowledge.

To be fair, I’ve had better cocktails, but its the entire experience that should be looked at, and the interior and service makes really adds that extra something. One thing though, there are no prices shown on the drinks list, so be careful on what you order.

Pretty cool speakeasy-style bar specializing in whiskies and a few other things. They have a limited menu but say they will craft things for you. That’s nice, but I’ve had experiences that were more fun in that respect, where I could simply tell the bartender some things I liked and would get back a cool creation. Here, you end up having to dictate exactly what you will have. The prices are also kind of steep for what you get, it’s north of S$30 per cocktail. That and the slight lack of creative surprise keep it from getting 5 stars, though coming here definitely made for a fun evening.

A very very interesting bar. Went at 10pm which was considered “uncool” but we wanted to make sure we got seats. The pride of place is the row of 10-12 plush leather armchairs at the long bar facing the Japanese man in a jacket that invents your bespoke cocktail. The table snacks were good. Waiters ask you about your preferences to create an original drink for you.

Having read some of the comments here… I concluded that – This is NOT a place for everyone!

First, the service is outstanding! It’ll will make you feel like a celebrity! (If you are up to it!) Yes, there’s NO MENU!! The lead bartender will ask you questions so that the drink is specially ‘personalised’ according to your mood and preference. Every drink is unique. Here, mixology is an ART form! They want you to appreciate every single thought and attention given to the process in making the drink for you. Thus the price. This is NOT a place where you can order your usual Bloody Mary/Long Island Tea/Gin Tonic etc!!! (Even a regular gin-based drink is never as simple as just a mix of gin & tonic!)

The club is owned by Japanese, managed by Japanese and thus there is a strong sense of Japanese social culture. Come here with an open mind! (Like as if you are in Japan) Be open to understand the other culture instead of expecting how the bar/service ‘should be’ like! Only then, will you be able to enjoy the atmosphere and appreciate the attention given to you and the drinks.

If you want a quiet bar with customised drinks, and doesn’t allow talking with your friends, and high prices, this is the place to go. Ambience: 10. Great allure when you enter. Looks just like the pictures. Will agree with another comment of this is where deals are made.

Drink: 8. Great mix but the ice cube was to the brim of the glass, which makes it difficult to drink the $40 cocktail.

Staff: 3. Well dressed and polished. But will agree with another comment, some come off extremely arrogant

I enjoyed the experience. Old world charm. Great service, proper and friendly. Love the details / attention to them. Special drinks that are interesting. I especially admired the explanations. Cozy and charming ambiance matching the service. If you are seated along the bar, i am had a personal debate on wanting to interact with a friend but also want to lean back into the comfortable-ness of the chair, as its hard to have both. This was my only “complaint”. Parking is avail at Pinnacle nearby but careful crossing the busy street. i was so in awe and enjoying myself, I missed taking pictures.

Been here twice and its been a great experience both times. Once as a walk in and once with a reservation. Service is great, the fruit and nuts provided are a nice touch, and the drinks (while slightly pricy) are spectacular.
You don’t order traditionally, but are asked questions about your preferences (whiskey, gin, etc) and taste (fruity, stiff, smokey, etc) and they return with something that fits the bill.

So this place is definitely a must try if you’re into speakeasies. It is not that difficult to find but I refuse to upload any photos because I was surely dazzled when I walked in and I believe that WOW factor should be experienced.

The service was great and the drinks quality was great, however I do believe it was more expensive than most other speakeasies in Singapore. We paid 50+ for each drink, so I don’t think I would go back often.

Tip: they won’t give you the menu so you won’t know the price until you get the bill, so my advice is that if you’re planning to have multiple then better to pay for each drink separately so your pocket stays in check

Great drinks at a horribly intense environment. They refill your cup of water after 1 sip and your snack box after you eat a single peanut. It feels like I’m having drinks in a labour camp where people were forced to confirm to extremely strict and unreasonable work rules enforced by the arrogant owner.

The drink was good. But one drink for $48? Really? Is it 2 or 3 times more tasty than a normal cocktail? No. So it is not worth the price.

Ask ahead of time what things cost else you might be in for a bill shock. Notice the menus do not have prices listed and they do not provide itemized breakdown on the bill without asking. Nice ambience but certainly not worth $45++ or more for a single cocktail. We had four and all were unexceptional except for the price.

The place is pleasant enough, and honestly the drinks are delicious. But there were two issues. One is that the staff were quite intrusive. We couldn’t take more than 2 sips of water before the glasses were refilled, or eat a few nuts before the precious little trays were replenished. We were trying to have a business conversation and were constantly interrupted. The other problem? The drink prices. Again, the drinks were very good. But they were TWICE the price of the other expensive bars we like to frequent (Jigger & Pony, Atlas, Elephant Room, Spiffy Dapper, EO, etc. No kidding, twice the price. Sorry: just not worth it.

One of the best bars in Singapore. Very cozy setting and an amazing collection of spirits from around the world. One of the best places in Singapore for peated whiskey in terms of both the quality and range on offer. The food here is also amazing, and the cocktails are also pretty good (Bespoke cocktail concept). The vibe is reminiscent of Star Bar in Tokyo, which is where the founder used to work, and the approach to cocktails is inspired by the fruit they have on display (also similar to Bar Orchard in Tokyo). Points of improvement: The staff tend to be overly attentive and hover over you a bit too much (this is a Japanese thing), and it sometimes gets very warm inside (especially if you sit in the deep leather seats at the bar). Word of warning, this place has a food menu which doesn’t display prices, and the pricing of spirits is steep. I advise you ask for the price before any spirit is poured, and the staff will gladly let you know. All in all this is a great place which I visit often.

We did not have any trouble getting seats without a reservation on a Saturday night at around 10.30pm. When we first entered the place, we were a little confused as it looked like a menswear shop, with a lady at the counter. She checked if there were any seats available and soon, someone comes through a discreet door to lead us into the main bar. The leather seats were huge and comfortable, similar to Singapore Airline’s business class seats. We were given a hot towel each, a tiny cup of green tea, water and some snacks.

There are no menus, and we were asked for our preferences. I ended up getting a dark rum old fashioned, which was made using homemade banana rum, distilled from scratch using Onikawa bananas and Onikawa brown sugar, according to the Japanese bartender. The drink came garnished with a slice of orange, lemon and lime each, so you can further customise your drink with an additional citrusy kick. My dark rum old fashioned was perfect the way it was, so I didn’t want run the risk of ruining it by adding anything else to it. The other drink that we ordered however, the smokey old fashioned, tasted better with a squeeze of orange.

Our bill came up to $86 for 2 drinks, which is very expensive given that even a drink at Manhattan (Asia’s #1 bar) costs about $24++? That said, this is still a good place to check out once in a lifetime, as you really get top notch service, and they really pay attention to the small details, down to the glasses they use for your drinking water (it was some ultra thin-walled glass that feels really nice to drink from). Also, since my drink was made with a rum that they made from scratch, I felt like it justified the price a little. Come here for the experience, or if you really want to impress your date. Just remember that it’s damn expensive, so probably not a good idea to order more than 1 (or 2 if you have deeper pocket) drink per person. Overall a pleasant experience.

Very good service, always attentive and observing any needs of the guests. High-quality wine and superb technology. The price is high, and I didn’t give me the details when I checked out, only write the price on a card

How anybody can give this place short of 5 stars is beyond me. Incredibly cool vibe with some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Reminds me of a more chilled out version of Speak Low in Shanghai or The Violet Hour in Chicago. You have to come here!

For the ultimate gents drinks evening look no further than D.Bespoke. Large, brown, leather chairs all the way down the long wooden counter gives you the feeling you are in a place of class. Behind the bar, the polished bartenders and behind them a wall of delectable delights from rum to calvados to whisky to sake to basically anything that your taste buds desire. The traditional pork katsu sandwich on soft white bread is a perfect companion to a glass of your beverage of choice.
A great spot to relax with the guys or gals or a very special date night.

One fault – no price list, just a note with the numbers written down at the end.

We came around 6pm on a weekday and had the place to ourselves.

    The drinks: world class quality.
We have been to the ‘world’s best bars’ and this deserves its place there. The GM made an incredible old fashion and Penicillin.

The liquor: the best quality you can find just about anywhere. The owner is a master at sourcing the best people and drinks.

The decor: transports you back to a time of luxury and class. Beautiful wood and leather finishes adorn this place.

The people: incredibly talented and skilled staff from Japan. They deserve the highest marks for their incredible service. The owner and team went above and beyond when asked for bar recommendations in Japan they made me a large list of top-quality stuff.

All in all, one of the greatest bars on this planet.

Nice ambience and service but there are better cocktail places in the same neighbourhood that will charge you at least 40% lesser. The cocktails were good but not unique enough for me to want to come back at $40 per drink.

Atmosphere is great, very cozy place, nice and high standard service. The drinks are nice, however I’ll say it’s less creative. The price is also on the highest range – 28-38sgd per cocktail. Worth to visit one time for the experience.

This place is very pretentious and ridiculously overpriced. We arrived at 630pm and were told to wait, after ten minutes we were allowed inside, and it was completely empty… we were chatting with friends and got told off for “ruining the atmosphere”, which is ridiculous considering there was none since it was empty. Worst bit was they gave us a menu with no prices and when we ordered drinks, just a basic vodka soda was almost $50.

As the name implies, the interior of the place was truly sophisticated, classy and elegant, with an ambience of privacy and exclusivity. The seats were comfortable and service level was impeccable. However, prices are not clearly indicated in the menu and had to be asked. The cocktails price range is between $28-38, while whiskey glasses could range from $60-$80 per glass, despite being not of the extremely rare type, and so it is very overpriced compared to other exclusive type bars in the city.
This is definitely a place one would go to grab one drink for the experience at best, as a whole night out here would surely break the bank to say the least
The overall Japanese style vibe of the place was very authentic and would definitely appeal to patrons too.

D.bespoke is a unique probibition style speak easy bar in the heart of singapore specialising in creating a unique experience for every one of there customers. The experience begons when you first enter the bar where you are greated with what appears to be a tailor shop shopfront, while it is far less hidden as it used to be, if you were just walking by you would never expect it was a fancy bar. After entering you are welcomed by a kind receptionist who leads you through a hidden door into the actual bar, with a very probition style decor, the posh atmosphere instantly hits you and stays with you from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. However it is not untill you are seated when the real magic happens.

Once seated you will be catered to by one of their many attentive and extremely kind waiteres who will ask you about what kind of elements you are looking for in a cocktail and after getting a good idea on what sort of style you like, they will report to the highly skilled bar tender who will proceed to make you an individualised and unique drink, based solely on what elements you like. Due to there uniqueness it is impossible to truly give you a reccomdation on what drink to get however i can say that the few drink that i have had were absolutly spot on in what i was looking for within my drink and left with great satisfaction. With an average price of around S$50 per cocktail, they are not the cheapest drinks in the world, however on rare ocassions and special events i highly reccomend D,Bespoke as your go to place for a fine drinking experience.

TL:DR, D,Bespoke is an absolutly amazing expereince which offers an individualised unique experience for all customers. With amazing staff and great drinks (while a liitle costly (but worth it)) you can’t go wrong with D,Bespoke for special occasions or just the occasional treat.

One of the most impressive bars I have ever been to around the world. I would compare the quality of cocktails to the ones served in NYC. The service that is focused on you, solely and impeccably. The selected labels and whisky producers that are quite exclusive – just amazing. Stemware is fragile, light and yet classic

Be careful though, with no prices in the menu, we racked up our bill last night to 460 SGD.

I don’t understand ANY negative comments. This is the absolute best bar I have ever been to . The lovely owner, Daiki, is at the top of his game, and knows how he wants his bar run. He is beyond professional and perfectly courteous. His concept is fantastic! No cocktail list, just let him know what ingredients you like, and he will mash you up something scrumptious!

The service he offers with his staff goes beyond all expectations. They pay attention to your every needs and are always available for the slightest request. And oh, the atmosphere! Could not be more cosy, with massive leather chairs, quiet relaxing music and great chic decoration.

I could go on forever about how amazing this hidden little bar is, but you absolutely MUST experience this yourself. There is no way you will be even slightly disappointed (in this case you have not understood the concept or are unable to appreciate it) and you’ll want to stay forever. I could not recommend this place more highly!

D Bespoke is a great place to bring friends or clients. While the drinks might be a little pricey, the management don’t try to turn over tables – meaning that you can nurse a single drink and soak in the ambience.

The management also does its best to curate a great drinking/dining experience and the service doesn’t disappoint.

Avoid sitting at the counter closer to the entrance – due to the size of the chairs and the narrow passageway, you’ll be in quite an uncomfortable seating position if you have long legs.
