Great tasting place and decent food (especially the salted egg seafood dishes), but they try to shove snacks and napkins without telling you that they actually CHARGE you for the items. Why would you keep insisting on giving the table things that we didn’t order? If I didn’t know about it before coming here, I’d be furious if I found out when I got the bill.

We had to deny the snacks 2x to get them to stop offering. Water also costs money. Restaurants need to stop the practice of charging for things that customers didn’t order.

Would be a 5 star restaurant if they stopped shady business practices. It’s like the European restaurants charging for bread that they bring to the table before you order.

Frankly the food quality is about average, nothing spectacular or awesome.

But the service is very good, the aunties are friendly and attentive. The floor
Manager is also very active to ensure guests are well served.

    Will visit again.

Ever classic with great food for family members. They also provide baby chair. A great place for lunch and dinner. If you want to try their delicious dim sum, you need to come before 6pm. What is so great about Crystal Jade is the fact that they don’t close the restaurant in the late afternoon. So for those of you who love early dinner such as 4.30pm, then you can come here.

Today I ordered shrimp wanton, boiled Chinese cabbage, roast chicken and beef noodles.

The fresh shrimp wonton has a thin skin and a big stuffing, and there are two big shrimps inside.

The boiled kale is not bitter but also slightly sweet. The stalks are specially peeled, so it will not feel old at all, and the soy sauce is also adjusted just right.

The grilled chicken is very fresh and tender, which is rare.

Each dish is about 10-15 yuan, 2 people ate a total of 62 yuan. But eating such high-quality food is really worth it!

Located on the 4th floor of Westgate mall, one floor down from fitness first, this crystal jade location does not have hotpot or unlimited Xiao Long Bao. Pretty decent in term of food, what you will expect of all crystal jade chain. Usually it is not too busy so I can always get a seat.

Like most restaurants, prices are marked up during CNY. You can choose set meals if u dont really care about the budget. Food is relative good, from veg to meat. Roasted pork belly unfortunately wasnt as crispy as i hope. But the staff provided fantastic services. Overall, an enjoyable experiences.

Very nice ambiance being corner of high floor. Decor unmistakably Cantonese, likewise for service standards and food quality. Which means you don’t get pampered as in western hotels. You are assured of true-blue Cantonese cuisine served by no-nonsense staffs.

Personally I am a bit perturbed by the indifferent attitudes as well as coordination among staffs. Seemed like only one female staff is operation in charge – seat allocator, order taker, cashier and takeout handler.

But hey, maybe I am too picky. Judging from the amount of tips in the box (see photo #3) they have a lot of satisfied customers. From observations, they do have a loyal fan base with lots of grey hairs and huge budgets

The porridge is silky smooth & hot
Except maybe for today I find the fried rice too oily maybe it was after lunch hours the wok itself was oily after multiple cooking or the chef never clean it properly or price of oil went down.
Tim sum today not as hot as what it used to be just warm a bit only.
Portions of food sufficient enough to fill tummy very comfortably not make you bloat.

One year ago we accidentally ran into this place and the dim sum ( Cantonese style) was better than our expectation from a suburb eating place. This time we specifically returned and a big disappointment!
The food was greasy, and could be some kind of imaginative fusion using gimmick from old HK tv title.
The only consolation was the quality of tea and service.
In my humble opinion this is not a genuine Cantonese style food though the name had implication that it was related to a famed HK food franchise.

There are plant based options for vegans. I didn’t get to try that. I’ll find a chance to!

Don’t need to wait too long for food after ordering. They served water ( chargeable ) if you wish to secure a seat, come early or check if reservations are available.

The Chee Chong fun with dough fritters taste a little strange with the peanut sauce , I still prefer the regular Chee Chong fun sauce…

My friends ordered other dim sum such as siew mai, char siew bao, spicy dumplings.. Carbo wise we had HK fried noodles, scallops/seafood porridge .

    Porridge is good.
Beef with asparagus – too salty(so salty that I need a bowl of water to “wash” the seasoning.
Golden tofu- chef totally miss out so had to cancel.
    Overall food experience- not great.
Last time ordered a vegetable dish- it was tasteless. Next time if I will to go back I only want to order their porridge or noodles only. Will not consider to order other side dish.

Decided to try the Yusheng as liked the one at Vivocity.

No queue on a Sat during non-peak hour.

Had the yusheng takeout for dinner, and it came with a “quality” red paper bag. Two types, salmon or abalone, but told left with abalone.

Did not have the membership but was informed by the lady cashier that UOB credit card holders will be able to enjoy discount.

Yusheng tasted better at the Vivocity outlet, although this is also one of the better tasting ones. $78++ for the small yusheng at Pavilion

Arrived the restaurant before 7pm and was happy to find out their last order for dim sum is 645pm. We ordered our usual favourite of dim sums i.e. chicken feet, Siew mai, both steam and fried bean curd skin with prawns on top of some dishes. The vegetable with three types of eggs and the roasted pork are our all time favourite. The quality is still good. We also ordered a pot of Chinese tea which is served in a golden tea pot which looks pretty impressive.

The food and drinks were great and the ambience was eclectic as well.

Amongst the dishes ordered the crispy Tofu Skin and Prawns, Roasted pork with Chinese wasabi and the beef horfun were truly enjoyable.

The xia long bao, the chilli Vinegar Dumplings and the kung pao chicken were a let down. The taste as compared to those served in the other Crystal Jade’s was so off the mark.

Compared with the Hong Kong-style dim sum of Tim Ho Yun, Little Hong Kong, and Jiu Rujia, this one is characterized by a lot of shrimp ingredients, and the red oil Chao Shou and bean curd rolls are full of two shrimps… The taste is the same as many Hong Kong-style restaurants. The least sweet of all. Generally speaking, it’s pretty good, but if you like sweets, this one is average.

    相比添好运、小香港、九如家的港式点心,这家的特点是虾料很足,红油抄手和腐皮卷里都是满满两颗虾…味道是这一众港式店里最不甜的。总体来说挺不错的,但喜欢甜口的话这家一般哦。

No dim sum during dinner hours. Not fretting, we ordered a la carte dishes instead, with staff readily available to make recommendations. Service was satisfactory and friendly.

Braised vermicelli with shredded duck and preserved vegetable (apparently popular and back by demand) was slightly cloying, but still fragrant. Best to share with 3 or more persons.

Truffle oil excessively used in their asparagus and mushroom dish, and a tad overpriced, but always up for an aromatic zi char (stir-fry)!

Their assorted mushroom soup was a winner, with a taste that will stay with you (perhaps enjoy this only after their particularly oily rice/noodle or stir-fried dishes, to cleanse the palate).

Mango pomelo with sago was too sweet, but cleared my cravings for a creamy dessert with a refreshing kick.

One important thing I must mention was the excellent and awesome service officer Mr. Sam Fu. When I told him that our tea was not served he

Service is poor during crowded period. There is a severe shortage of service staff during peak period. Food is above average. Carpark is plenty. Can also park at NTFGH during peak period. Environment is cosy.

Good Chinese restaurant tucked in the upper corner of Westgate serving mostly Cantonese cuisine. The dim sum here is fabulous.

First time dining at this outlet although it’s my favourite Chinese restaurant chain. It’s out of the way on the 4th floor. Good that the quality and standard of the dim sum dishes are maintained. There were also some interesting twist to the regular siew Mai and har gau (see pics). The only item that missed the mark that day was the roast pork (siew yoke) as the skin wasn’t as crispy enough. The signature pork belly was very good though, it’s a tender and smoky version of char siew.

A convenient spot tucked in West Gate – it has become one of my favourite places for Cantonese congee and XO stir fried carrot cake. Service is good there too!

Went for late lunch at 3pm and restaurant was very quiet. Served by very friendly staff and manager. Nice Cantonese style cuisine. Xiao Long Bao is juicy but my son can’t take the overwhelming Hua Diao Jiu so i get to eat all of them… Hahaha…
