One of the supermarket that is not easy to compete around tampines central. Area is smaller then NTUC @ Tampines Mall, or Sheng Siong @ blk 506. Generally the same stuff selling also slightly more expensive. However it accept Passion card points redemption. I keep wondering Passion card is issued by our govt? NTUC owned by Govt as well? but Passion card Points not recognised by NTUC? hmmmm….. why leh…ok, not talking politics here, back to cold story….(that’s how my ah mah pronounce).. though the price is slightly more expensive, but shopping there always feel better then other supermarket, maybe the lighting , the shelving colors or the interior designing? so if you sian to go NTUC or Sheng Siong, then Cold storage is a good alternatives. and i just buy my butter there coz sheng siong need to get 2 pcs for the promo, i just need one block of butter and cold storage wins on the price this round…hahaha, got to make some saving during this covid period.

Variety of cheeses and cold cuts went totally down over the years.. Almost 0 is there anymore. Hard to understand as Tampines has a huge increase of foreign/Western residents now. The Cold storage should quickly adapt and cater to the new foreign crowds, before they establish shopping habits to other areas like Bedok. Increase cheeses, cold cuts and some more imported products.

If you are looking for cheese, specialty oil like avocado oil, safflower oil, western condiments, high-end butter etc., this is the place for you. Uncle Teck from the turkey and ham section is meticulous, hardworking and friendly. Definitely one who takes his job with pride. No rush, always carefully handling and packing the meat. Do spare min or two to have a conversation with him and see how he smiles with pride while conversing and doing his work

At B1 Tampines one, Cold Storage offers goods with quality. The pirce is also normally higher than Fairprice. I don’t recommend grocery shopping here though, less choices especially for Asians compared with Fairprice. There are more options when it comes to fruit juice, potato chips, wines, and cheeses though.

The supermarket has a huge variety of products to select and purchase. Need to check the ice cream though. Some of the tubs were soft when depressed showing that the ice cream was not entirely frozen. Go figure.!

Bought roasted chicken and crispy pork knuckle, very disappointed to find that they are very dry and difficult to eat, tasted like card board and rubber, I wouldn’t recommend it even though it is on cheap evening clearance promo, I would rather have a meal at a nearby hawker centre now that I know how horrible this taste like, threw away the entire thing after a few bite, couldn’t bring myself to finish eating it.

Awesome service at Cold Storage!!! Bought a box of ice-cream only to bring it home and find that it had been completely melted (and refreeze). It was a stick ice-cream, so all the contents slipped from the chocolate casing onto the box. I brought this to their attention and they gladly allowed me to go back to their store for a refund. However, to note, it is best that you still got your receipt or at least the item barcode. You would need to provide evidence to them that you had bought from them recently. I also took pic of the item so they would be able to see what had happened. Else everything else had been thrown away since yesterday

Selling huge selection of foodstuffs, there are the normal standard items found in normal supermarket, this store also sells, roasted meat as well (supposedly it was cooked in-house). There is also a sushi section too.
For this particular outlet, the organic section can be considered well-stocked up, there are the organic fresh produce and also the organic packed items.
One aspect I liked about this outlet, is there is a fresh nuts section. You can select the choice of nuts and bag them. Fast and easy.
This store was well maintained and was kept clean. You could constantly see the staffs, packing and arranging the items.
There are also the normal checkout counters and also the self service counters.

Basically you can now get these scoop bins of healthy and quality nuts and more from Alison’s Pantry at Cold Storage Singapore! I really love the entire concept because of the DIY scoop yourself and that you can choose the serving size accordingly depending on your NEEDS and BUDGET!
