The paneer tikka was soft and mouth watering. The chole bhature was very tasty, specially the chole was very tasty with less oil. Would highly recommend this place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Vishal ji and Mohan ji were very approachable. Their behaviour was very homely.

If you’re looking for some delicious and authentic Indian fast food in Singapore, look no further than Chutney Mary located in East Coast!

From the moment you step inside the restaurant, you’ll be greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. The decor is colorful and lively, and the staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to answer any questions and make recommendations from their extensive menu.

Speaking of the menu, Chutney Mary offers a wide variety of delicious Indian dishes, ranging from traditional snacks like samosas and pakoras to hearty main courses like biryanis and curries. Everything is freshly prepared and bursting with flavor, making it easy to see why this restaurant has become a local favorite.

One standout dish that I highly recommend is their butter chicken, which is rich, creamy, and absolutely addictive. The naan bread is also a must-try, as it’s perfectly cooked and goes perfectly with any of the curries. And if you’re looking for something sweet to finish off your meal, be sure to try the gulab jamun, a classic Indian dessert that’s both sweet and indulgent.

Overall, I would highly recommend Chutney Mary to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Indian fast food in Singapore. The food is fantastic, the service is top-notch, and the prices are reasonable. So don’t hesitate to give it a try!

Nothing special. Price is for the location. Food was average. Looking at the name, you would expect to dosa, idli types, but surprisingly they said only rotis and other north Indian food only available. They can probably change name to Malai kofta Mary.

Decent food. Nothing outstanding or to die for experience. The servers definitely left a lot to be desired as they were fairly slow and had to be walked through every single thing (utensils, glasses for the table, extra plates, etc). We came here because I’m visiting from another country and don’t get great Indian food where I am. So I was very excited to find a place where I could get a dose of home. We got the vada pav, papdi pakora Chaat, pav bhaji and the chole bhature. I also got the virgin mojito.

Now the vada pav was fairly small but quite decent. It could’ve done with more spice but I always feel that. Nothing like the Joshi vadewale in Pune, India but good enough to get a taste. It was accompanied by a spicy dry chutney which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chaat was also fairly good. The yogurt was well-spiced up and there was a lot of farsan and other things added to make it enjoyable.

The pav bhaji was a little disappointing. The bhaji is supposed to be mashed well. This one had big peas all over it and they definitely overpowered the flavors from the remaining bhaji. I also think it could’ve done with more spices. The chole bhature were the best of the lot. The chole was very well-made and the bhature were big and fluffy. Definitely more than enough for two people.

I think this place has the makings of being great but left a lot to be desired in their service and some things to be improved upon in their food.

I have tried few things so far:
    Food: 6/10
    – Amritsari Kulcha: being a Punjabi, I can say that although chole were nice but kulcha lacks authentic taste.
    – dry chicken in starter( I forgot the name):it was nice, juicy and tasty
    – veg briyani: it definitely can’t be classified as briyani but pulao, lacks authentic taste. Pls add potatoes, cauliflower to it instead of sweet corn ‍️
    – FREE DESSERT, MASALA PEANUTS, PAPAD small gestures made me happy

Variety in menu: 8/10. They do have quite a number of dishes on menu

    Ambiance: 8/10 decent

Service: 9/10 very friendly, welcoming. Food was served without much delay. Freebies were nice. Waiter was nice to provide suggestions per our requirements.

Price: 6/10. S$14 for veg briyani is too much.

Final verdict: nice place. I just wish they can improve on taste and authenticity of dishes.

Disappointing experience from start to finish. Ordered a vegetarian set meal, the food took about 15 minutes to be served. The paneer “kebab” was served with an artificial-tasting bright green chutney which was inedible. The rest of the food really did nothing to convince me that this place knew anything about Indian cuisine – chaat or otherwise. To top it off, service was slow and reluctant – you’d think that with an empty restaurant the two waiters on hand would have been at my beck and call: not so. The chai served after the meal was overspiced and overbrewed. This place deserves its bad reviews and empty tables. Avoid.

We ordered set meal, it was quite a lot of quantity for 14.90. papdi chaat and dessert were good. But the channa masala, butter chicken that came with the set meal were quite bland. The masala was missing that spicy indian taste. Naan and tomato soup were good. Staff were polite and respectful.
Overall, good restaurant with reasonable price for those who don’t expect spicy food.

We ordered Tomato Soup, Samosa with Amritsari Chole and a Set Meal. Soup and Samosa were decent but set meal was quite disappointing on various fronts. The taste of all 3 vegetables (Dal, Paneer and Aloo Gobhi) was bland. To top it, we had mentioned Aloo Gobi to be given in set meal but were given Channa Masala first for which we had to request replacement. Similarly we had requested for Roti and rice in set meal but were given 2x rotis in lieu of rice which we were not aware of. We wondered why don’t people take orders on their machines/devices instead of relying on their memory.
Importantly no regular water is served and only mineral water is provided which came as an unpleasant surprise to us. To summarise, there are enough better places to go to and we wouldn’t recommend this place.

Good food home cooked style, great service with a swiftness about them.

    Their chaat is also yummy.

And that Mango kulfi is something else. Well done.

Great for snacking and kulfi. Their mango kulfi is probably the best in Singapore. Give it a try. They also do decent vada pao, chat and samosa.

Went here specifically to try sarson ka saag and makke di roti which is a very traditional Indian dish eaten in winter. It’s a simple place by looks, but e we were curious how the food would be. We tried some chaat-Indian appetizers which were average but the traditional winter dish we had come specially for was excellent as was the butter chicken.

Very good place for north indian fare and chaats. Downside is the limited menu that they haven’t upgraded since atleast last 4 years that I have been visiting.

Loved the papdi chaat and other starters. The main course was not too great but not bad too though..pretty decent food & ambience…the jaljeera drink was the best i have ever had at a restaurant.

This is an Indian fast food place with delicious snacks as well as meal choices on its menu. The food and the service is by and large competent. Old Bollywood songs play in loop on the monitors high up on the walls.
