Very organised, all information given during flight itself including map and transit time….(In absence of it, you are sure to miss connection if within 60_80 minutes)
Tough it looks small, takes considerable time to reach gates inbetween….
Buggy service non existent, and are just parked with no one to attend or even to give information….. Two opposite ferries, while on way to A15, did not bother stop on request..
However, train shuttle saved the day. Very useful, timely and quick… But one has to rely on guess/ signboards for boarding/ deboarding as no announcement in the shuttle….

This airport is a pale shadow of what it used to be pre pandemic – thin on ground staff , ground staff not communicating effectively , empty information desks , disinterested staff on their mobiles , ambient temperature poorly maintained , no toilets in the holding area after security check in . Poorly signposted . They have adopted post pandemic measures but they don’t have staff helping at key areas . From my favourite airport from the 80’s to a sorry state post pandemic . Wake up Singapore you are loosing your competitive edge .

Went on a Tuesday afternoon(28 Sept) 3pm to send off a friend to Jakarta (SQ flight. Lots of parking at T3 lots and it’s free parking now.!
Thought must go earlier because of the new norma but it seems the check I. Process is same like before except that you need to show a PCR test and the self check-in kiosks are closed. So need to go to counter and check in with staff there.

Personal, it is kind of inferior while comparing to Hong Kong international airport. Not only is the location of the food court but those snack bars feels like I were living in the 80s.

I always love Changi International Airport. One of the best Airport I have ever been to. So many public facilities that are so useful. Definitely no problem if I have to transit here for hours to wait for another connecting flight!

The playground is located at the end of the terminal – combined gates. My gate was at C19 that day and I had to walk maybe 10 minutes to reach here. I didn’t notice that there is a train to reach this end, was taking travellator instead. But it is impossible to bring the kids here to play if you are assigned to any other gate beside end gates only.
Palatial. Contains everything you can dream off. Water, Sanitation, upkeep etc all 5 STAR standards. Food standards not very friendly to Indians (influenced by West and China). Neat, well maintained. No words to express my appreciation to the authorities. Flawlessly and quietly handling lakhs and lakhs of international passengers day in and day out without any chaos or crisis. Was in Manila airport for 2-3 days due to typhoon crisis. Difference is contrasting.

The airport is located within its namesake district of changi, at the eastern end of Singapore, approximately 24 kilometres (15 miles) east from Singapore’s Downtown Core at the Central Region on a 25-square-kilometre (9.7 sq mi) site. It is the home base of BOC aviation and Jetstar Asia Airways, as well as the country’s Flag Carrier of Singapore Airlines, its cargo division Singapore Airlines Cargo and its Low cost subsidiary Scoot. And one of the best Airport across the world.

After 20 months, I am back again..
It’s still the same here in the airport waiting room, according to the cov19 health protocol.
Masih sama disini ruang tunggu bandara, sesuai protokol kesehatan cov19.
This site is holding hall for transit passenger. Quite spacious but not much to do here. Just being confined to the glass wall. Business/first class passenger get to go private section of the area but not a proper lounge. There is food vending machine but i do not recommend, perhaps go for fresh cooked meal delivery to the hall from selected restaurant.

Changi Airport is a must-see if you’re ever in Singapore. The entire place is spotless, from the carpets to the ceilings-and yes, I have witnessed them clean the ceilings. The service is wonderful, and the flight attendants are all too happy to serve you. The lounges and gift shops are well placed, as well as simply dazzling. I’ve been to a lot of airports, but this one takes the hard-earned reward of the best one. The airport’s total amenities package of entertainment, food, shopping, hotel & lounges, which also includes a free 5 hour round-trip bus tour of Singapore with multiple stops for IG photos is heads & shoulders above every other airport in the world. The rain forest setting encompassing many bars & restaurants in the Jewel terminal with the world’s largest indoor waterfall is currently next level above all other airports on the planet

Currently, due to the influence of the new corona, the transit area is greatly restricted, and it was quite difficult to kill time in it, but it was not uncomfortable. The restroom was also clean. There are vending machines, shops, and delivery, but the payment methods that can be used with vending machines are limited, and for Japanese people, Apple Pay is the only one. The shop was credit card or local currency. I bought Tom Yum Seafood Noodles (made by Nissin) at the shop and ate them.
現在新型コロナの影響で、トランジットエリアが大幅に制限されていて、その中で時間を潰さないといけないのは結構大変でしたが、居心地は悪くありませんでした。トイレもきれいでした。自動販売機と売店とデリバリーがありますが、自動販売機は使える決済方法が限定的で日本人ならApple Payぐらいですね。売店はクレジットカードか現地通貨でした。売店でトムヤムシーフードヌードル（日清製）を買って食べました、とても美味しかったけどかなり辛いです。

So much to hear about the Jewel of Changi, but not allowed to visit if just transfer via Changi. Even the Butterfly garden is closed. Otherwise, just like any modern airport in Asia: big, efficient and clean.
