A bit sad that this chain has closed so bunch of outlets.
    Food quality down…
My favorite Chee Cheong fun still has the HK taste but not as good as before…

Drinks quality also a bit off… Missing the creaminess…

Didn’t go to Jurong point for awhile, last Saturday decided to try this HK cafe and we ordered Beef brisket noodle and Wanton noodle. Ordering a milk tea is a must going to a HK theme cafe but we ordered lesser sweet.

The beef brisket is great and the portion is value for the money. The wanton stuffing consisted of a whole prawn just what you will expect from Hong Kong.

Didn’t have the chance to try other dishes as we don’t have many people share the other dishes.

One of a few HK styled restaurants that are consistent in flavor/taste. Try the Beef Brisket Noodle, it is one of the reasons why I often go to Central when I am at Jurong Point. Other notable mentions include Fried Beef Hor Fun, Curry Beef Brisket Rice, and the Polo Bun. Their 鸳鸯 and Salted Lemon 7-Up are on point as well. The most impressive thing though, is the style and decor of the place.

In general, the food is expensive, the quality of the food is average, and the attitude of the staff is not very good. Milk tea is not Hong Kong style milk tea.

I ordered the prawn cheong fun, the sauce can be less salty. Ordered the deep fried noodles with chives and shredded pork, they should not used starch to thicken but use beaten egg instead. Plain porridge is fine.
While the food is acceotable, cant say the same for the service. The man leading guest to tables is very successful in replicating hk cafes staff impatience and unfriendiness. Guests are all asked in rude and impatient manner to ‘check in check in’, a little kid was told not to play at the entrance while the mom is paying for take away. That same man who seems like the manager curse in vulgarities under his breathe while clearing tables. Same attitude from the lady cashier who accept payment. She pointed the sensor impatiently with her pen when my card was not in the right position for pay wave.
If not the need to go ntuc at jurong point, I would very much rather go to any one of the dim sum restaurant in jurong east. It is not that guest do not pay them service charge or their price is lower than their counterparts.

Beautiful cafe for authentic Hong Kong food. Feels like we were in Hong Kong when we dined in and service is prompt.

Always go for their beef hor fun and I do crave for it sometimes. So glad that we were able to enjoy hot nice food during Phase 2 of Circuit Breaker.

I like that it’s not too crowded and we will always get a seat whenever we visit.

Don’t bother trying if you are craving HK food. I came here for dinner thinking that I can have some nice HK food after looking at the decor but boy was I disappointed. The rickshaw noodles was salty but the soup was good which probably saved the dish. The milk tea however, was flat and no amounts of sugar could help it.

In Jurong Point, the crowd depends on the time, and most of them are there. The price is a bit more expensive, but there are many delicious dishes, such as fried wanton, beef hor fun, chee cheong fun and so on. Especially on Friday evening, when the place is full of people, I want to come here, but there may not be a seat.

Requested for sambal chili and this is what i got from the waiter, full of Chili Oil and no sambal at all!!!!!
was told chili is finish at 6pm on Sunday!!!

Restaurant serves good food and an affordable price. Located at the outskirts ‘mongkok street’ area. I ordered the hong kong rice plate. The portion was very generous for the amount of food given (large piece of egg, some duck, one piece of luncheon meat and vegetables and rice). Will be coming back again

Nice, spacious place, decent food, but skip the drinks.
Texture of wanton mee is very nice, wanton is filled with juicy shrimp. Pork cutlet was well-fried – crispy on the outside while it retains its juice and moisture. Yam fried rice was nice but a tad too oily. Drinks were a huge miss – ginger in the ginger milktea was too overpowering and there’s no fragrant tea taste.
It’s a nice place but I wish the space could be better utilised with some proper housekeeping at the area near the window as it’s quite a sore eye to see all their inventories everywhere

Great selection of Hong Kong food and delights. The coffee smells fragance and Hong Kong yuan yang tea is nice as well. Played with Cantonese music in the background, the atmosphere is relaxing. You can also buy some mala sticks as snacks before the main meal. The mala sticks comes with 4 different sauces to taste. This place is for young and old and tables are spaced spaciously as well.

We were there on 30 Dec 2022 at around 7pm++. There were only two waitresses and yet they were talking amongst themselves. We raised our hands several times but they don’t seem to bother, until their own cashier had to alert them.
We saw a customer walked out when her order was served. She went straight to the cashier and just told her that she is not going to consume nor pay. Apparently she was so fed up with her whole experience there.

Just having my dessert and taking a break from window shopping.

I can’t quiet remember but I think it was more than 2 years since I stepped into this restaurant.

I truly miss Hong Kong but today’s experience didn’t help at all.

I ordered Ice Milo, ginger milk tea, polo bun and thick toast.

Unfortunately, my Milo tasted like there was only a half of a teaspoon of Milo in it. Sad to say it’s the worst diluted Milo ever!

My Polo Bun was dry and tasted like yesterday’s bun.

Fortunately, the ginger milk tea and thick toast came out pretty good.

I think this place needs to look into their quality. I like this place but there nothing Hong Kong about it with this standard.

As the name says, the eatery is reminiscent of an old style eatery in HK, with posters of bygone HK movie stars, including Bruce Lee and Shek Kin, and tiled flooring. Service was quite good from the senior femae staff who was also busy handling takeaway orders from food apps.

The soya sauce chicken noodles were pretty decent, and the meat was a generous size. The noodles were good and firm as well. We also had the deep fried Hainanese chicken rice. While not seeming to be a HK dish, the chicken was tasty. They do also have HK favourites like curried fish balls and bolo buns.

Pricewise, they are cheaper slightly than the Legendary outlet down the same stretch, but do not seem as popular, which also means you can get a table much more easily.

As I knew picture are always different from the actual, but their difference is way too different. And to add more, it is expensive. curry beef rice is good, rice is soft, curry brisket is a hit in your mouth. 107*

cheese baked rice with chicken is good with a mixture, but can be improved by wrapping the rice with cheese, cheese can be evenly spread around the rice.

Not very crowded, no queue. Doing the safe distancing well, they do not allow back to back sitting.
The seafood la mian set is quite worthwhile – 3 large prawns, 3 scallops, with good portion of noodles & comes with real ice lemon ice (not from packaged), some vegetables. Jumbo rickshaw noodles is large. Rich curry but only with some potatoes and carrots in it.

A slightly underrated restaurant in Jurong Point. Every time when all the nearby restaurants are filled with queues, you can most likely still find a seat or two at this place.

    Not without reason.

Their HK dishes are not fantastic, it’s not bad, but just “not-there”. The pork chop is a tad too dry too tough, the beef horfun lack a bit wok hei, gongchai noodles not punchy, curry fishballs not bouncy, you get the idea.

    BUT.

I love their skewers and daikon, especially the Mala flavours ones, and the braised (or deep fried) large intestines. The hidden gem, eat these skewers with their 4-coloured-sauces is simply shiok. I like their chee cheong fun too, where the skin was slightly fried to crispy.

So, go for their skewers, you will like it.

Came to this cafe that’s pretty hidden amongst the popular few at Jurong Point. There’s a very Hong Kong vibe even before you sat in the cafe. The curry brisket rice is to die for which is why I ended up at the shop twice already just to chope and confirm it’s authenticity.

Had a few dishes as shown from the photo and they’re all very above average but I will always go back for the yin yang and curry brisket no doubt.

Cheese baked rice with pork chop with its sweet and sour tomato sauce isn’t bad either but i bet it’ll be a hit or miss with the pineapple for some.

Brisket noodle is above average too with very little of the alkaline taste from the noodles. The way they treat their braised beef ranks above most I would say.

    Lovely.

Food is very nice and flavourful. Place will have long queue for some time slot. Sadly only 2 server on ground so you need to have some patience waiting for them from time to time serve you. Will highly recommend people to try this outlet if you can.

Had the hongkong wanton noodles (dry), and the luncheon meat bacon fried rice. Way too salty for the noodle and the luncheon meat. Service is fast.

If you want to feel vintage Hong Kong vibe and see the antique Hong Kong accessories, this restaurant is highly recommended. Quick and very nice food.
