Much lesser people in this branch, probably due to its inaccessibility via the usual MRT route. Good for a visit if you’re more comfortable to meet up in places with lesser people.

Very crowded at lunch time on 1st October. Expect to wait a while due to lack of staff. Their staff already try their effort into service.

Staff seem to quite overwhelmed even though the crowd wasn’t that heavy. Food was served slow with long gaps between dishes, leading to the point of us not knowing whether to eat or save our rice for later. Flies were out and about as well, making for a less than pleasant experience.

Salted fish skin is really yummm
Been to jem outlet and Alexander retail…very short of staff..long queue waiting as only one staff to manage payment and take bookings as well as assign seats..should look into part timers..Will look at other options due to this lack of staff service..

Was going on a nature walk with my BFF at Labrador Park. Was a light drizzle so we decided to have lunch and wait out the drizzle.
Canton Paradise looked like a nice place to have a decent lunch. Service was prompt. Ordered the Irish Fatty Duck. Was good. Congee was good. Spinach was acceptable.
The dish we were really looking forward to as a highlight, was steamed garoupa.
We were deeply disappointed. It was dry, and felt like it had been forced thawed. We both ate one side of the fish and left the rest.
This is not the 1st time ordering steam fish that has lacked the basic standard. Never order a whole steam fish from here ever.

I personally quite like this place for their dimsum lunches. I’d come here with my colleagues if we want to pamper ourselves that afternoon. If possible, come in threes, because that’s the portion size of how dimsum is served. Do get the charsiew cheecheongfun and their xo sauce carrot cake!

I really like the Chinese food that they serve here – whether it’s their dimsum or the normal Chinese cooked food. Don’t expect it to be cheap, but the quality is definitely there. Lunch times can be a rather long wait, so make sure you go early to ask for a table, especially if you have a large group. Dimsum comes in 3s, so if you have a group of 4, well, you either order 1 or 2 portions.

  31. Avatar photo

Great place for dim sum there is 40% off. And the congee was a huge bowl, more than enough for 2. The youtiao is also kept in another small dish. Quiet place , no residential around. General standard is great

Service staff courteous. Aircon quite cold, probably external night temperature quite cool. Irish duck and roast meat good. Roast pork belly is average. Sweet and sour pork, long beans also quite good. Hakka toufu not authentic. All dishes are small portions (2-3pax). Food served quite quickly after ordering. Quite good occupancy so best to make reservations.

Mediocre. The place is very well designed but the food is very unremarkable. So unremarkable that I can’t help feeling sad that they can’t do better. The porridge is not Cantonese. It is overly much and overly thick. The dim sum is so so. The vege is lacking wok hei. Management, if you are reading this, please try to refresh your menu and recipes please. Thanks!

    Great service from Milky.

Experience was let down by a less crispy than normal carrot cake, which I typically hold in high regard.

The steamed fish was also a tad overcooked, making it a wee bit tougher.

There was also insufficient fish for the sze chuan spicy fish.

The deep fried eggplant was on point though, and so were the accompanying meat floss.

Service is good. However good standard can be hit and miss at times. Here’s our fish today from the kitchen. We haven’t even touched it but the steam fish is already badly broken. The server quickly walked away on our comment. Just have to tell ourselves that times are hard on the F&B sector so just chill and embrace hence the 4 star.

Food was decent, but the ordering staff was shorthanded on weekends and was not attentive when taking our order. Imagine a senior staff came over to start taking order, and as we are about to speak, left to service a question from the adjacent table. Note that we weren’t even taking more than 2 seconds to flip to the correct page in the menu. She did this a second time, serving another table, and when we finally asked her if she was ready to take our order, she turned the table on us and said she was waiting for us instead.

Even if we could overlook this, our food took forever to arrive. Between the first 三拼 and the second 咸蛋虾球, we waited for more than 20mins. And the next 2 dishes came almost another 30mins then another 15 mins later. We had to ask for our food twice. Even the 羹came at the very end, which shouldn’t be the case.

Luckily most of the waiting staff was friendly enough and explained nicely to us, or else this would be a 1 star review, regardless of the taste of the food.

Haven’t been back here for since 2019 pre c19. Managed to make reservations for table for 4 for dinner at 7pm. The inside seating arrangements have all been changed to meet the safe distancing and operations requirements.

Ox carrot cake and deep fried tofu cubes are our regular staples. Today we tried the roast duck for the first time and we’re not disappointed at all. The meat was very tender and juicy. Glad we tried it. Overall a comfortable place for family dinner. The cashier also gave us a $30 voucher (valid till Dec 2021, min. spent 80) for next visit.

Ordered online to pick up dinner today 5 Feb 2022. Had yusheng lo-hei with mini abalone. Everything was good and the food was well packed. Thank you to the friendly staff who help prepare our dinner.

What a letdown after revisiting this popular HK Cantonese cuisines favorite at ARC, Pasir Panjang/Alexandra Road for a family reunion last Sunday!
The air con is leaking badly due to lack of m’tce and the usual service team has been reduced to half and looks devastated: without little or no quality service at all!
F&B standard has also been largely compromised too ! Maybe a good idea to patronize its compatriot, Imperial Treasures outlets once more..

It wasn’t that great. We were craving a home cooked style meal with rice and some traditional Chinese dishes and this place was below our expectation. We ordered the Fried Fish $9 per 100 gram, Kai Lan with garlic, and the soy sauce with tofu dish. The fish was decent but there is a bit of bones which is unavoidable – the sauce tasted great though. The Kai Lan was a bit oily for us and there was nothing special with the tofu. I still haven’t found a place better to eat a home style meal than Dian Xiao Er. I need to find some alternatives or I’m afraid I might get sick of dining there.

Went mainly for the dim sum at 1030am. Luckily we made reservation as it was very crowded. Waited quite awhile for food and other requests to be met. But judging from the full crowd, I think its reasonable. Staff in general are helpful. Food and presentation great.

The food quality here is pretty high. We had dim sum here and were not disappointed. The texture of the skins for the har gao, mushroom dumplings and xiao long baos were soft and not chewy at all. The carrot cake was fried to perfection and the century egg porridge was very tasty, with the rice being cooked to a delightful mush. Overall, full marks for taste and quality.

The service here can be a little slow. It took us a while to get seated even though we had a reservation. The waitress also took a while to get our orders. They servers here primarily speak mandarin or cantonese so if you’re not comfortable in communicating in these languages, you might be in for a trying time.

Came during lunch time, the foods were great. I like the dim sum. I ate until a bit too full. Roasted pork was good as well. Serving was quick, only few items were a bit long like chicken feet and siu may.

They gave zip lock on the table when we were seated. At first, I didn’t know what was this for, I remembered at hai di lao they gave for phone, but actually it was for mask. Never use ziplock to store my mask during eating.

The queue for payment was slow. Took 10 minutes to settle the payment. There were 3 person in front for payment that time. They should improve in payment queue.

20% off from takeouts but the serving size is so mini; look the the center bowl—that’s a soup?? Also the dim sum seems to be frozen ones and tastes pretty bad; dishes are okay but not worthy of the price without the discount.

Restaurant chain serving cantonese cuisine for small groups. If you have bigger groups, suggest ordering mid size portions. We tried pork ribs with garlic, prawns, french beans, claypot tofu, steamed fish and avocado pudding. All tasted really good. Price is reasonable too.

I like round table for small group gatherings as it allows chatting with neighbours as well as to everyone in the group.

Service was good. They separated the fish nicely for all of us. Only strange thing was they kept sending orders from another table to our table.

Food are good for cantonese. Its cuisine seems to me are flavours more towards Cantonese style way of cooking. Filling cuisine but with great taste as Cantonese are famous in. Porridge and Dim Sum are my preferred food in this outlet. You can try those pictures that I had attached and they are tasted great.. like Wasabi prawns, 皮蛋粥 (Pi-Dan-Zhou)三拼粥 (3-combination porridge). Dim Sum (鲜虾肠粉),sweet-sour pork, 3-combination meat (三拼烧腊), Braise-duck in the pot and Peking-duck. Not bad tasting.

One of our favorite options for dim sum lunch. The Siew Mai and the rice wrapped in lotus leaf are really good.
We have tried the crispy prawn and mago fritters for the first time and were not disappointed. You can really taste the fresh mango. Exquisite.
The texture of the pan fried radish cake is not really my taste.
Service is usually ok but this time was incredibly slow. The interval between dishes was way too long and we had to chase for our last order. I had the impression that they have messed up with our order.
Overall, this is still a solid option for dim sum though ultimately we think that Tim Ho Wan is tastier and more consistent.

Was surprised to find that prices per dish here are $1-2 more than the other Canton Paradise outlets. Upon further observation, we realised its branded as a “signature” (I.e. premium) outlet, possibly to target the office crowd (I.e. Business lunches, team celebrations). Think chandeliers, nicer tableware, furniture & higher staffiner ratio.

Menu offerings and taste quality are exactly the same as the regular Canton Paradise outlets. Fortunately we got to use the Paradise Group Rewards Member 10th anniversary, $40 off min $80 spend voucher.

I decided to walk in as I couldn’t reserve a table due to high customer volume at dinner time today. Was told to expect to wait for about 1.5 hrs for a table for 5. Thankfully, our wait was only 35mins. Although the restaurant was full, staff were very patient and friendly. Kudos to them who put up smiley faces despite their busy schedule. Food were promptly served too. Tried the Irish fat duck – fragrant roasted duck skin and tender meat. We also tried some dim sum which were equally great too! Must try – har gao and xiao long paoPrices were reasonable. I particularly like this outlet as it is not as crowded. Highly recommended for families with elderly.

Nice quiet place to have a good Chinese dinner in the weekends. Quality of the dishes are good especially the char siew is so tender even though the meat was lean. The long beans with mince pork was also excellent with good Wok Hei. The Hakka YTF was delicious and the filling is authentic hakka style with fish, pork and salted fish.
