We visited during the “Camp Canine” event a few weekends ago and it was all my partner and I were hoping for, and more. The atmosphere was very pleasant for all, including the furry buddies. Food was great (though a tat pricey), service attentive and quick to help out.

We’ll definitely go back for this event and for other occasions.

Foods were tasty. BBQ style done really well. But the beer selection is a little atrocious, especially the Bira91 beer which taste-wise ranged from mediocre to a total disaster. Can you please bring in some decent craft beer and it would be my perfect place to chill every weekend!

Celebrated friend’s birthday at the restaurant and it’s my first time visiting this place. Since I couldn’t make it on time to collect the flower the staff even helped collecting the roses on my behalf thanks again!! People were friendly and energetic as well. Had a wonderful surprise birthday dinner here. Food was delicious too at reasonable price with average portion

Decent enough food but the atmosphere is great and very attentive servers. After dinner, head up to the 8th floor for some drinks. Fairly stiff drinks and a beautiful interior.

The manager Ram and the service staff Cudi and co really made it a memorable day, the food was soulful , drinks decent – you must try the frozen margarita. The location is hidden away by kallang park , a true hidden gem in singapore.

Great lunch today at Kilo. Four of us split several dishes. The sides were all excellent. The brussel sprouts get a special shout out for flavour, texture and originality. Eggplant was also a standout. The corn bread could have been more moist and a tad less sweet but it’s hard to have high standards for southern specialties this far from the real thing. Others shared two types of pork – one belly and lechon and we went for the sea bass sambal which was excellent, if a tad over cooked. All in all a great place. Dog and kid friendly and definitely a good spot to while away a Sunday afternoon.

Photos look better than when we visited. For the prices we paid, I had expected more from the service staff who were all sullen and robotic. I’ve been to the Orchard Central outlet a few times and while the food was tasty, the portions were really tiny. The servings here were slightly bigger, and we (3 persons) ordered 3 starters and 2 mains for sharing. Only one of us was full. The duck Thai salad was pretty decent. The rest of the dishes were okie but not wow. The ceviche somehow was different, perhaps this was an ‘improved version but I preferred the one I had originally at Orchard Central. Location wasn’t the easiest to get to.

Nice vibe there and good food. -1 for the price given that there is no table service and that location is far from any mrt or bus station. Also lots of item were not available and kept seeing coaockroaches crumbling around outside.

Nice place, relax with good music.
Environment is very atypic, between HDB and factory, in the middle of nowhere.

Very innovative dishes, looks good and most importantly tastes awesome! Seems like they have this watermelon themed thing going on (not complaining).

We ordered these for four (and felt too stuffed after)
    – crispy soft shell crabs ($24)
    – salmon sashimi with sesame crackers ($18)
    – BBQ ribs with kimchi potato salad ($26)
    – ricotta gnocchi (love the sauce and mushroom but the gnocchi is too starchy for us) ($26)
    – grilled prawns and smelt roe pasta ($28)

Every dish is a delight and it’s truly worth the effort to come to this hidden place!

Service is prompt and attentive too, with staff recommending my friend on the raw ingredients they put in our dish as she is pregnant.

The ambience inside the restaurant is really unique and nice. They operate on two floors actually: level one for BBQ food, level two for mainly Japanese fusion food.

It is quite expensive, but worth trying out on a date night.

Snug and hipsterish setting in a warehouse on Kallang river. Innovative and delicious dishes (try the beef tartare with quail egg). Reasonably priced. The menu could benefit from some simpler dishes to balance out the selection of rich, complicated small plates.

Food was great, fusion style of East meets West. Ribs were melting off the bone soft. Salad was tasty and fresh. However service left much to be desired. Restaurant was not family friendly at all only had 2 baby chairs for the whole place, both were in use when we arrived. They also don’t serve all the main courses together, resulting in me nearly finishing my ribs before my friends steak arrived.

Not the cheapest place esp this area… but it does lower your blood pressure a notch or two. The closest thing to Bangkok backlane pub. The pork belly and roasted pig were fantastic.

It is a total disappointment for the stingray! It smells fishy that the flies attack us immendiately. I wonder how long they have left the stingray on the kitchen top.

Nice place for a relax evening meal on the weekend. Outdoor seating but it was not warm at all with the fans. The setting made you feel like you are on vacation. They sell different grill meat and seafood and barbecued it to perfection. Free flow of ice water too( unlike those money grabbing outlets who charged you 50cents for a cup of water).

This is a mixed bag. The positives: great ambiance for a lazy weekend brunch/lunch. Outdoor seating, music, bar with a fun selection of drinks. The food flavors were all awesome. The not so positive: if you just want to eat and enjoy American style BBQ, I wouldn’t go. They had run out of the interesting meats (lechon and whole pig) by 1:30 (the place was open till late, so not sure why they didn’t plan this). The service, in typical Singapore style, was slightly clueless (we got a salad, then an order of ribs, then another side, then the corn bread, all quite illogical). Also, not all the tables had shade, so you also got to sunbathe!

The skin from the 500g of pig menu option was chewy and tough….but the good stuff, all the veggie options are delicious and the fish was fantastic…as were the ribs.

Ate at the Pact outlet in Orchard Central the other day. I’m not used to the food-in-fashion-boutiques concept but in this case it was a good fit. The industrial, raw feel of the exposed cement set against dark wood, graphic tees, and muted lighting made this joint feel hip, classy, and straightforward. I had the burger (with ground peanut and coconut), and we ordered the spicy tuna and salmon appetizer, and the salmon crispy chicken skin roll to share. Though I understand the allure of the salmon crispy skin roll, I’m not a big rice fan so it wasn’t my favorite. However, the light rice, and fresh salmon contrasted very nicely with the fat and bite in the crispy chicken skin. The spicy tuna and salmon appetizer was really good – with a host of Asian spices (many that were very Thai and Vietnamese to me) and chunks of red pepper and pepper seeds mixed in. It was very fresh and I would definitely have it again. Lastly, the burger was delicious – coated in a layer of melted cheese, tomato sauce and tomatoes, and some Asian spices mingled with Western flavor. It was well done because of the amount of ingredients in the ground beef (with all that peanut and such), but it was still surprisingly moist (I normally take my burgers medium so I was really happy that this was still chock full of juice). We ended the night with basil ice cream (that my friend found too creamy but I loved), and chocolate lava cake (which wasn’t too sweet, wasn’t too rich, but was moist through and through, and hence gets my seal of approval). Overall great experience and am ready to schedule a visit to the other Kilo outlet with a group of friends very soon.

Very disappointed with my experience tonight. Side of Veg arrived and then nothing for 30 minutes. Asked the staff they went off and then no one communicated the situation back. 5 minutes later they bring over one of our sides and tell us it is complimentary, but we’d already paid for it. Another 5 minutes later our ribs arrived. but they were BBQ not Jerk. The BBQ sauce had a very artificial flavour and is nowhere near as good as the Jerk, which is actually very good. By this time I didn’t even raise the issue. I wasn’t going to wait another 10 mins+ for the right food. Not sure what went wrong tonight, but it really did go pretty wrong.

Barbecued meat is slightly tough, though marinade sauces are well balanced and delicious. Prices are per 100 gram, and on the pricey side given the portions. Outdoor vibe is relaxed, and music is pretty loud, better suited for a party or large groups.

Definitely in a good location, next to the kallang river and away from tall buildings. Great place to hang during the weekends if you want to get away from the concrete jungle, yet remain somewhere central. But be prepared to fork out the $$$ even when dining in such a casual place.

Went there with 3 friends for Thanksgiving dinner. What looked good on paper was a 10 course meal and fancy descriptions but what came to our table were much smaller than expected portions. The instructions were also unclear whether the dish served was for 4 people or for 2 people since it was 2 people per set; definitely some confusion there. Food is just ok, we had 2 bottles of wine over the course of the evening but the bill came out to be S$600 (S$150 per person). We were shocked for the price for the value we got… I would seriously think twice about coming again.

Every dish I tried was good but stand outs include the roe based noodles, the tuna tartar, the rack of lamb (best I’ve ever tasted) and the chocolate molten cake.

The casual bar atmosphere was refreshing yet overwhelming. We arrived and waited fifteen minutes to order…30 for a full rack or ribs, 16 for half a chicken and various 10 dollar sides. Only had one beer available despite a long list of available cocktails and beers, 5 beers 50 bucks…..paid in cash, then waited roughly 45 minutes for our food before alerting staff of the long wait and having to stand by the counter to fetch our food which was piecemealed, and served by ourselves. After an hour of wait, the server gave us two free beers……lol
Ribs were overcooked, way to tender. But flavor was good on all dishes.
The restaurants power went out twice while waiting, they didn’t have enough cutlery (no forks) and the men have to use a porta-potty in back alley of the restaurant to use the bathroom…..and then I guess the restaurant expects us to presumably eat with our hands.
Has the feeling of a Hostel that serves BBQ….service was lacking and food just follows.

Food was good, portion was kinda small, service was poor – slow (we waited for 2.5hours for the 3 course Thanksgiving meal which came presented on disposable-everything and could have been passed off as fast food, but the taste was the saving grace), staff who saw us pretended not to. Slight attempt at service recovery.

This place has no service mindset whatsoever, running out of beer or other drinks, not making sure order went out and delivering the wrong order…
I waited for an hour, and when coming to the staff, they didn’t even know if my order was out or not.
Music is too loud, and the DJ`S idea of music is playing the same 30 seconds over and over.
If my friends were to ask me to come here again, I would flatly decline it.

TLDR: skip this place and remove it from your list.

Great outdoor vibes for gatherings, when the weather holds. The venue is rather isolated, and by the river, both of which enhances its charm. The roast pig is moist and tender, although the skin could be crispier. Enjoyed the ribs too. The Chipotle corn was delicious with the smokey jalepenos butter.

They charge you 125 SGD for a 2017 bottle of red and have the audacity to add 10 SGD for table service to drink out of scratched plastic jars, the ribs are rip(offs) and fat as I’ve never seen and tiger prawns rather tiny prawns. Attentiveness of service low. A place that adds to Singapore’s reputation of being expensive and little value.

Great atmosphere, feels like a backyard party! I had a great time here with two groups of friends, everyone was in good spirits. The pork belly wasn’t best of the best, but it wasn’t bad. The skin from the 500g of pig menu option was chewy and tough….but the good stuff, all the veggie options are delicious and the fish was fantastic…as were the ribs.

Anyhow, this place is singular for the atmosphere and on top of it the dj selections were outstanding.

After a great experience at Kilo in Bali we decided to try Kilo Kallang when we came home to Singapore. When making the reservations by phone the girl told we can only stay for two hours or we have to spend at least SD70 per person, then we could stay longer. Strange approach to attract clients. But ok. We were on time. After the door of the elevator opens there stands an uninterested looking woman which approach was nog really friendly. (Probably the girl from the reservations) Thats not a good start. We seat down and asked to turn the Airco a little lower due to to cold air on our table. Strange was also a lady who comes at least every 5 minutes to check or we need water although our glasses are filled and not empty. I must say the food was really good. Thats why the 3 stars. The are for the kitchen. But the staff have to go to Kilo Bali to get a training in friendly approach off customers, then they can deserve 5 stars.

Service was fine and the food quality was satisfactory for the price. Food quantity may need to be more generous as for the same price, we certainly can get much more while not sacrificing quality.

Drink on the other hand was quite disappointing. The Biru 9 brand of beer from India is mediocre at best. The blonde beer was ok, the IPA beer was sweet (way too high alcohol content of 7%) and the wheat beer was old (manufactured March 2018, close to 9 months) and had a sour after taste.

At the price we are pay for 3 pints (i.e. a bucket of 5 x 330ml) it is certainly not worth a revisit.

The concept is good and the food is ok, but the place is a bit of a rip-off. They have a 10% service charge even though there’s no real service — you either order at the counter or through an app (and then you might have to wait 35 mins for a bucket of beer, or have a margarita spilled on you). And $18 for a mojito with coriander — not mint, but coriander!!!

One of our colleague’s sister is a chef and she recommended this place for our team dinner and it was an absolute delight. We had around 10 dishes- 6 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts along with wine and we all had a great time. The service is very quick and the servers are very helpful and polite. The food is served in just the right portions and the presentation is very good. We had a lot of dishes with raw meat and it all tasted sooooo good. The flavours were rightly balanced and nothing seemed over or underdone. We spent almost 4 hours at this place and our tummies couldn’t be more impressed. The only negative point was that it got quite hot as there was no air conditioner I guess.

I’ll start this off with a disclaimer: I’ve had lovely past experiences at Camp Kilo—been a couple of times before, and I really enjoyed myself with the food, overall good vibes, and ambience.

Last evening, I went down with my husband and a couple of friends to celebrate Camp Kilo’s 2nd anniversary. I had advertised the event to my friend (who, along with her boyfriend, had never been to Camp Kilo) as what would certainly be a fun night of good music and fantastic food.

We arrived at around 6:20 PM, and it was already packed. Fair enough, since it was a special event and everything. The host explained that there was a waitlist for tables, and I asked if there was anywhere we could stand around first and order the food. She said that we could stand and eat around the bar, and before I could ask her to put our names down for a table, she had turned away to talk to someone else. Her attitude was overall pretty standoffish, and I thought it was really rude that she just ignored me while I was still trying to talk to her.

Then, the ordering of the food. Long queue, long wait—again, par for the course on a busy day. But the host had told us we could just stand around the bar area to eat, right? Welp, as soon as we reached the front of the line after a good 15 minutes of waiting to be served, the cashier scolded us for not having a table. She raised her voice at us and said “I CAN’T TAKE YOUR ORDER if you don’t have a table. A woman who didn’t have a table just ordered food and you see the food is ready here, but she’s gone.”

Umm… what? I DID want to get a table, but I didn’t even get the chance to put my name down for a waitlist. Plus, she told me we could just eat around the bar. Now I queue for 15 minutes to order and get scolded by the cashier for not having a table when I was just heeding the host’s advice? Maybe, if you guys know you’re going to have a big crowd, you should have a more airtight ops/logistics plan and ensure everyone on the team is on the same page about what’s “okay” and what isn’t beforehand?

I was sufficiently embarrassed at this point for recommending this event so highly to my friend, but didn’t really have too much of a choice since it was a Saturday night and there aren’t that many other dining options in the area. So I “sucked thumb” and ordered, having to CONVINCE the cashier that yes, we would wait around the cashier for the food.

The only saving grace of the night was an incredibly helpful server, whose name I am so sorry I didn’t get (Chinese/Singaporean male with no glasses, wearing a dark grey t-shirt). When our food was ready, he rushed to help us find a table, and was nothing but gracious and apologetic (even though none of it was his fault whatsoever), and helped us check in on the food that had yet to arrive. His attitude was so drastically different from the host and the cashier, and I sincerely want to thank him for all his help last night.

Lastly, the music was just wayyyyy too loud. It was good, yes, but it was playing at a volume that made talking absolutely impossible. We basically had to scream at one another to get heard the entire night until I suggested we adjourn to the Kilo restaurant upstairs (where we were able to have a much more pleasant time talking and socializing).
Overall, the food was still good, but it’s been a long time since I’ve encountered such bad service in Singapore.

Having known this place from the show “meat and greed”, I decided to give it a try.

The service was terrible and the staff were more interested in their conversation than anything else. We order the roast lechon pork of 200g but was only given 100g. The staff tried to smoke twice until someone from counter decided to weigh it and they realised shortchanged us. the meat was pretty bland and it was on the chewy side. Likewise the skin of the pork was rubbery.

We also tried their grilled chicken and it’s uncooked but they denied it. At least the decided to cook another portion.

We had the grilled prawns and cauliflower which was slightly better.

On the whole everything was on the bland side. The only thing that tasted good was probably the coconut drink that’s all. Maybe just for the experience, you can give it a shot. Otherwise not recommended.

The ambiance & music selection was good but the volume of the music was too loud though. The food on the other hand was nothing to shout about (other than the ribs). The first rack of ribs was delicious, however, the next rack which we ordered was pale in comparison. (Was disappointed with the inconsistency.) On the whole, the food was not worth the price. That being said, if you just wanna chill & hangout with your friends & have a drink, it is a nice place.

Good vibes but food and drink are average for the price

Love the quiet location and simple, tasty and honest food. Very relaxed and kid friendly, (though some people smoke at the tables)
