A TON of things to do for the kids here at buds by ShangriLa. We definitely did not expect to hang around there for too long but we ended spending all of 3 hours there.

We started with the indoor play area where there are so many things and places to explore for kids of all ages. Not only do they have a separate area for toddlers to play and climb in, they also have really high netting for the bigger kids. And for the less physically interested, they have rooms dedicated for art and music as well, so kids can also decide to sing, dance, play the piano, or paint.

Along with this, they also have a small water park called “Splash!” which is another big area for kids to have some water play. The pirate ship looks amazing and is quite safe for kids to climb and explore. My son spent over an hour just getting absolutely blown away by the many things he could do there.

I would recommend this for most kids over the age of 3.

Impressive place. Clean, innovative, close to city or central area. A bit pricey but its Shangrila so it was expected.

The place also a little bit small compare to other playground. So avoid weekends.

Outdoor playground and Cafe close at 7 pm.
Other than that kids definitely love this place. 3 hours seem too short for them.

With the recent addition of an outdoor playground, Buds is even better. This new part has water play in one half, and a cool pirate ship for climbing on the other half. Our kids had so much fun playing all afternoon. Fantastic job Shangri-la yet again.

One of the newest indoor and outdoor playground in Singapore. The indoor playground has different play areas including an arts space where kids can draw to their hearts contents on the walls! There’s also an outdoor playground (pirate ship) that is quite unique and a water play area. The indoor playground can be very crowded. Admission tickets are expensive but it’s worthwhile to go once and spend the whole day there.

Ok it’s new. But expensive for nothing. (Dont forget to bring your socks) It’s just small place and not many choices for activity. Just grab some coffee there and relax while your kid running around.

Spacious playground with a suspended net above ground level for kids to run on (adults can’t follow them up), and a ‘sand’ area for them to play pretend-gardening… The sand is just specks of brown plastic bits, so they aren’t going to dirty anyone.

2 special areas unique to kids playground are of particular interest: interactive sing-along area with a giant karaoke screen, and a artwork area where kids create craft pieces using all sorts of kids-friendly paint and colours.

There’s a dedicated toddlers play area with soft cushion all round (sides and bottom) so the younger ones (and parents) can enjoy with no fear

With a great cafe serving good coffee, afternoon tea sets, and comfy seats… The only downside is how crazily packed it is on the weekend!!!!!

Fantastic indoor playground. Has ball pits, slides, climbing wall, a music room for piano or karaoke, an art room for painting, and other kid friendly activities. Would like to see them move away from 1hr-long sessions but all in all it’s great.

Entertainment for kids. Pricey at 28 SGD for 3 hrs even for hotel guests. Having a baking station adjacent which has free 30 mins sessions for kids of hotel guests, paid session on weekends at 58 SGD for 60 to 90 mins.

Visited 2 times. Play area is separated into 3 area- main play area, toddler area and an outdoor wet playground (outside of the hotel- ask their staff for directions). There are also theme rooms where kids can engaged in different activities (additional fees apply). Wet playground looks impressive even though we did not get a chance to play with- there are towels available). I hope they can maintain the place in good condition. On my 2nd visit, the cassia seed pit was quite dirty and it was lesser in volume as compared to my first visit.

Expensive for what it is, if you are walk in – 2 adults and a child, we paid S $42. This is by far the most expensive indoor play area we’ve been. There is area for toddlers and area for older children. Hasn’t been taught much about the parents – if they ask this amount of money from a parent to get in, they should think about how the parent will feel comfortable. There is a small café with some food options we haven’t tried.

Stayed the night at Shangri La Hotel with our rate including the visit to Buds. The staff are very friendly, attentive and generally love to play with babies and kids. We played at noon and came back at 8pm until the place closed at 9pm and the staff was still very kind and upbeat.

There’s an indoor play area as well as an outdoor water play park, and is suitable from little crawlers to kids around 10-11.

It might be a bit pricey if you’re not a guest, if you compare it to other places but I appreciate the warmth and personality of the staff, which other places are lacking a lot of.

It has something for everyone and my son loved the art (muddy) room the most. He was able to mix water colours, paint the walls, switch off the lights to admire his glue in the dark artwork, etc.

As this was part of my staycation package, cost was already included. Otherwise it’s a little pricey but you’d have to consider the service and amenities provided.

That’s excellent! One word. They take good care of the children, and above all, they are kind and friendly. As expected of a word. It is a place where you can see that many parents and children visit. The price is a little high, which is sometimes a drawback. Also, in 2020, the outdoor water playground will be enhanced, so it seems to be looking forward to that as well. I would definitely like to visit again.

It’s just amazing, clean, safe and so many things to explore for the little one. We loved the music room a lot and my wiggly munchkin loved the ‘big’ kids playground more than the toddler one. We went during school holiday season so the entry was a bit more expensive than the usual 26$ for 3hrs for walk ins. We love it and will be going there again definitely.

  67. Avatar photo
    Eugene Heng

In my honest opinion, the entrance fee is just too steep. Area of play definitely smaller than places like cool de sac. There is an extremely small area for guests to recharge but the food and beverages are way too expensive and horrible, especially the coffee. Moreover, the location is way too inaccessible and the only way to get there is by car. Walking takes 15 to 20mins frm the main road and dun even think about taking a bus as there is none that will pass by!
$28 for toddler with 1 adult accompanying total 3hrs

Love the playground concept and play area. Staffs are friendly. Recharge area for adults is small and cozy but the floor was dirty with food crumbs hope the staff in charge would pay more attention to this as the socks would get stained and they play in the playground again..

Great place to go to for entertaining your little ones…with just $28 for walk-ins you can stay up until 3 hours, need to wear nonslip socks for both kids and adults but in case you didn’t bring they are also sold in the counter for $5 each pair. Be sure to keep an eye on your toddlers since some kids are a bit energetic than the small ones. It’s nice that have a separate space for kids and toddlers. Buds are really strict about entry now. Wanted to arrange a play date for my son with 3 friends, and apparently only hotel registered kids can enter buds. I didn’t mind getting a room, but only 2 kids can be registered per room, so for 4 children you have to book two rooms (insane in my opinion).

Fantastic indoor playground. Has ball pits, slides, climbing wall, a music room for piano or karaoke, an art room for painting, and other kid friendly activities. Would like to see them move away from 1hr-long sessions but all in all it’s great.

Not a bad place place for kids but abit on the expensive side. Parents are not allowed on the upper deck though. Staff on floor can be more attentive

Good but Super crowded during the public holidays (Long queues and waiting time due to the need for crowd control within). For the price alone not worth the 3 hours (though my 6 yr old enjoyed it a lot but very little for 2 yrs old to do). Better to tie it with a staycation or dining at shang. Outdoor play area is quite a fair walk from the indoor area. Waterplay for outdoor not as good as the one at the Singapore Zoo.
