My preferred place to shop for personnel safety equipment (safety goggles , shoes etc) because its not in the “industrial” area.
Its also got the the typical coffee shop. A row of massage shops at the 2nd floor and also a travel bus tour company too.
Other shops include NTUC grocery, clinics, money transfer, barber shops, cellphone shops, DYI shop, PC repair, PC assembly, Indian, Vietnamese and Myanmar provision shops , Malay gift shop, barber shops, Chinese incense shop, a bike shop (a bit pricey though), a 7-11…. Yeah its like a scaled down version of chinatown but without the fortune teller.
Nearby there is a wet market with a bigger place full of eateries, a temple, a catholic church, community center with covered basketball court, a new gym near the hockey field.

I visited this place to buy soup. I find d price quite steep. I ordered black chicken cooked with some chinese herbs like ginseng,dried scallop and it cost almost $18 for it. I took away and it was filled in a normal plastic container.
Nostalgia for the 70s and 80s kiddos. Walking along the shops alone is enough to bring me back to my childhood memories.

We ordered two chicken soups one with Ginseng and the other abalone at Tin Kee next to the Dim Sum shop at Boon Lay shopping Centre kopitiam. It was a waste of money as we paid 18 dollars with one rice. We will never order again from this soup shop.

Have not been here since 2008, boy was I surprised as Boon Lay Shopping Centre has everything unique.
You should try the Bahulu shop located in the same row as 7-11.
There is a Malay store Al-Barakah where they sell nice traditional crackers and unique ice cream.
Drop in the Mama shop at the back where they sell nice smelling flowers.
Enjoy yourself at the food court or you may go next door to Boon Lay Food Centre.
This place is certainly a gem among the quaint neighbourhood.
