Great Bak Chor Mee. Very crowded and warm during weekday lunchtime.
Best place for after-party supper! Prata is an option but the Bah Chor Mee is a must-try! 😀
Semi food court with few food stalls inside.
You can get thai food, noodles, nasi lemak, to nasi padang.
Pricing is affordable around 5 dollars.
Place was open air non aircond.
Sistem is self service
Nice selection of food and very good prices. Cheap drinks including beer. Good drink service as well. Someone is always walking around taking drink orders at tables. Highly recommend
Cheap fast tasty food. Its not too busy now and so the staff are attentive.
can use visa. cheap. nice.
Great supper place, the meepok here is very good! However, they are quite strict on bringing outside drinks, kinda spoils the mood!
Cheap beers, really good mee sua & Indian rojak. Great place!
Yummy economical rice for $5.00 and $5.20 respectively! Please try to avoid the peak traffic at 12nn to 1pm on weekdays
Cheapest type of good food that you can get around raffles place and boat quay. Bak chor mee at circular road, bak chor mee at raffles place, bak chor mee at boat quay, however you name it, people will remember of this stall. Bak chor mee is the local slang for minced pork noodles. Do get the thin noodles (mee kia) dry. Not pricey around $4.50, and definitely of good quality.
Named after Batman co-creator Bob Kane, BK Eating House offers respite to youngsters who cannot afford to get inebriated at BK’s pricey neighbouring establishments.
Purveying a plethora of local delicacies including the spiced Indian rice dish, briyani, and the heart-stopping Chinese noodle, meesua, BK is perhaps most famous for its trademark Murtabatman, which is a south Indian flatbread that is stuffed with minced meat then moulded into the shape of the bat signal.
The only establishment in Singapore with affordable priced beer, BK Eating House is a great place to strike up drunken conversations with new friends whom you will not remember tomorrow and indulge in chronic with the old drifter who sits at the back of this coffee shop.
Lousy tea and coffee
Best beer prices in town. 3x 633ml for less than 20 S$)
Right smack at the corner of south bridge road, this coffee shop is popular amongst many! Where else can you get cheap food around town area! Not just cheap but tasty as well!
Come earlier to beat the lunch hours rush. Serves typical coffeeshop meals and drinks at affordable price.
Most came here for the dry mee sua or dry vermicelli mince pork. But give the Indian Muslim food a try.
Best place to get your ba chor mee fix post drinks! Fuss free and cheap. Walking distance from Boat quay & Clarke quay and is open 24 hour.
Everyday super bak chor Mee ! And laid back ambiance
Cheap tasty food available. Had a good portion of teriyaki chicken rice for just 4 SGDollar. Beer are also available
Good place to have a bite in the middle of the night when no one else is open
OMG, 钦平板面, THEY’VE MOVED HERE!
I had been eating their noodles for lunch ever since I started working at Raffles Place.
They used to be at Golden Shoe Carpark, but now demolished. I miss the taste and I’ve been trying my luck in finding this stall near Raffles area but to no avail. Now I know where they are and I think I wouldn’t mind coming over for lunch at least one per week. Not to forget, it was nice to see the friendly stall owners once again
Opps! Sry, too happy that I finished the noodle without taking a picture
Nice coffeeshop along the river. There is an indonesian stall that serves awesome beef rendang, a caipng stall with brown rice alternative and a decent mee pok stall.
Had food at local vegetarian restaurant there, good food for no meat eater , Highly recommend take away becauseof the taste , beacuse the stinky smell will literally make you kill yourself.
Good eating joint,
Do try some local cuisine here.
Best part is it’s not so costly
They serve local food with friendly price. Cash only.
food here price is good. reasonable and wide selection
Just so cheap and good!! Had dry mee sua ($4) and i heard the Yong Tau Fu stall beside is good too
Average coffee shop and may need to upgrade menu to attract millennial crowd
Semi food court with few food stalls inside.
You can get thai food, noodles, nasi lemak, to nasi padang.
Pricing is affordable around 5 dollars.
Place was open air non aircond.
Sistem is self service
Sometimes at the end of a long day you need noodles. If you want noodles that make you feel like everything in the world will be OK. Even if it just for the time that you are eating them. This is the place for you. I hat-tricked my night visits here. The chicken broth is the base of everything and it runs through the dish like a sensual magma. The mushrooms are soaked in the broth. The noodles cooked in it. So are the dumplings. This is brilliant food and cold beers. All for about £2 a head. You cant argue with that.
once upon a time, the food is great at this place. If you go there, you will say opposite to what i said above.. :p
Good cheap and open long hours. You know what you pay for.
i personally feel that the sliced fish noodles taste pretty good. The price is also quite resonable. i guess i might visit the store again. …
Looking for cheap no frills beer ? Drink to your hearts content
It is an option for dinner around this area. I tried the fish balls noodle which, was quite ok.
Not much stall, fish soup is nice and portion is big
Food’s not bad, for a quick Chinese grab.
Very busy and lots of people’s. Foods is nice.
This place does offer a reasonable range of food
A place for affordable bottled beers, and simple Chinese dishes. It’s more of an ol skool place to chill and see drunk people doing drunk things.
Ok for cheap eats but a little on the dirty side, especially the washrooms
Convenient for quick breakfast in town area when everything else is not open in the early morning. Coffee, tea, milo, buns
Good food good beer reasonable price .
Cheap and cheerful late night place to come and have a meal. Gets quite busy. A nice place to pass the time
The mee Sua was the only thing worth eating here. But now they’ve moved across the street so nothing much going for it.
Bar chor mee /minced meat noodles the best thing to eat here. Good for after drinking food! Other than that… Nothing much
Pretty decent coffee shop. Most of the stall operators are friendly and proactive. The minced meat noodle is, in my opinion, the star of the place. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.
Minced pork or fishball noodle stall
Excellent pricing and excellent al dente noodles custom cooked to your preference
I always have mine without oil but lots of cihilli.
At $4 a bowl in such inflationary times, appreciate it and enjoy it.
Being a hawker in the food business is hard work.
Great place to hang, especially after hours. Food and drinks are cheap and decent. It’s opened 24 hours, 6 days a week, which means it’s a go-to place for supper after drinks nearby.
hardly rate a kopitiam but the server’s attentiveness earns the star(s). And the perfect half-boiled eggs are better than toast box. Prices are slightly more than neighbourhood kopitiam but for such location, it’s ok.
Great coffee shop. Fishball mee sua and indian food here highly recommended.
Very crowded during lunch due to office crowd. Also very warm. Expect to sweat.
Not much of variety…. The used to be minced meat mee sua not there and Indian shop closed for good….. Due to covid… Hopefully they will be back…
Clean place with lots of good food. In particular the signature mee sua shop. Shame it’s not yet listed in the map.
Gave BK eating house a visit after reading so many great reviews. It wasn’t off to a good start when the staff served the wrong food. Had to tell her that it was the wrong item and she said the guy who took the order didn’t write it properly. Their system of taking orders is pretty ineffective as they just recognise you by face. A system that is bound to go wrong when u have so many customers. The servers were seen wandering around trying to find the right table. Maybe they could work on that. The dry bak chor mee was really good. Packed lots of flavour. However, I wouldn’t say it is the best and definitely not worth travelling all the way to Clarke Quay area for a $4 bowl of bcm. The soup version was absolutely tasteless. So if u are hyped up by the reviews and planning to try this place out, definitely go for the dry version.
Mee sua shop change owner, now average only. Ask for mee sua, give mee pok. Ask for extra vinegar never give.
24 hours convenient coffeeshop.
Closed on Mondays I think.
Food is ridiculous…
My first choice of eating while near South Bridge Road.
My favourite place for some good local food and drink. I’ll be back
Great for a late night snack!
its a very good place for eating food is in a budget price….. food is healthy… no issues with that….
Cheap beer, good food, all good at bk
Nice!!
Good enough to try local flavours. The noodles and Indian stalls are not too bad. If you wanna just try noodles, go to the opposite shop. For better Indian flavour, there is another shop selling indian food just down Circular road.
Chance upon this stall and decided to try the pork leg rice.
Highly recommend if you are craving for Thai pork leg rice.
The Chicken Khao Soi must try too.
One of the best places after drinking
Another good place to have a quick lunch.
Hreat place woth great atmosphere, complete with wide variety of food and drinks.
like this, because near from the hotel, and opened 24 hours.great to come here again next time.more food u can eat here
The minced meat noodle – I love it
I ate 3 times in a week cooked by different people at different timing as it is 24 hour. Standard varies but all nice. Staffs quite friendly too
Jao Thai – tried the pork leg rice and curry noodle. I would say it is not bad
Unique taste. Ok to skip.
Coffee – average but servers are nice and they kept the place really clean.
Serving Alcohol 24/7. You can get a beer anytime even after 1030pm. Poured in a Plastic Cup. Looks like a soft drink. …
Popular for mince meat thin noodles (mee suah). $4 is very reasonable for an ultra-central venue like this.
Little stalls open
For stalls that are opened, taste of food is at best average
A coffee shop I kind of grew up with from the heady days of boat quay when it was packed eith KTV pubs and techno joints. The bak chor mee still tastes as great!
Kopi’o Bistro Indian Muslim food …
Bak Chor Mee die die must try
Came here before 5pm on a Saturday. Only the noodle and the mixed rice stall was opened
Excellent noodles, great prices! Good location.
…
average local coffee shop, near my office, used to have the good bak chor, fishball noodles stall, but it has moved across the road.
The nasi Padang is not bad. Saw nasi lemak stall as well. Thumbs up
Always a must go when at the area. The Mee Sua is just too good.
Ba chor mee is good and cheap!
$: Below S$5. This minced pork noodle is best for after drinking. Always many people there. A bit spicy but that is very comfortable to eat after drinking. If people ask me about best best place to eat noodle after 10pm, I believe I will recommend this place. If you are driving drinker, you must know about this place to maintain yourself.
Best choice for the surrounding but don’t open on sunday.
Very interesting taste… I had a stomachache afterwards.
2022 Update: The noodle stall is no more. They closed shop for quite a while already, and I’m afraid I’m not sure when they will return. I’m hoping sometime in the future they will return to the scene.
2020 Update: This stall has moved to the opposite side of the road, at 9 Circular Road. They’ve named themselves Yan Kee Noodle House.
One of the many places within the city area that provides roadside eating and sells cheap food. The noodle stall here that sells Bak Chor Mee is well worth the visit, it’s cheap ($4 a bowl), and it’s so good I recommend it.
This place also attracts big weekday lunch crowds, mainly people from big office buildings surrounding it, so if you’re planning to get something to eat at that timing, expect a fair amount of waiting time (maybe up to 30 – 45 mins).
It is a decent place to eat when someone is feeling hungry in the middle of the night.
Still as lovely as before. But where did the Indian stall went???? (( Tried the western today. Not too bad for it’s price. The noodle stall seems nice, shall try it next time.
Nice fish ball n food
The dry minced pork mee sua is very good
No comment yet..1st time visiting
BK eating House is a coffeeshop at the corner entrance from North Bridge Road into Circular Road. The famous noodle stall that was inside this coffee shop had moved opposite of the coffee shop.
Some good food stalls and affordable drinks in a neighborhood that’s usually far overpriced
Bachor Mee , Japanese Dons and Mixed Vege rice!
The economy rice is good and competitively priced.
Always love their BCM. Their cai png also long queue but fast. Drinks are ok
Best!
Great BBQ stingray with rice set here, good place for cheap beers too
The mixed vege rice is tasty and reasonably priced. It’s open air and gets really busy at 12pm on weekdays so head there early
Great people watching in a lively spot. If, as me, you are not familiar with the local dishes, the counter people are helpful. They seem tourist friendly. $3 breakfast set; lunch comparable..
Good small food court open till late at night, great place to eat something after drinking
Average food. Good for drinks at night
Good for night supper, could be quite pack during Thursday – Saturday evening coz of the bar crowd.
Affordable lunch place for folks working in Raffles Place
The all time favourite place for after party place to eat.
Love the bah chor mee and mee sua. Must try. Chilly sauce is nice…
The Indian Muslim food is iffy, but the meesua from the Chinese stall is banananas!~ The best comfort food since the big bang. And they sell beers all night too! The 10:30 alcohol ban can go suck itself off
Good minced pork noodle available here. Added music . …
Local eatery where one can get a quick & affordable lunch or supper. The noodle stall there is popular for their dried mee suan with pork balls, minced pork & ikan bilis.
The mixed rice here is the best you can get in the area. Cheap and delicious, a rare find in the central CBD
Change alot but the minced pork noodles still got their standard
Bak chor mee is okay. The cai fan stall does not serve fresh cooked food, especially their bak chor.. can taste quite bad and old.
Much like everyone else, I come here for the dry specialty meesua.
The noodles are coated with this oil, chili and vinegar dressing, then topped with minced pork, sliced pork, ikan bilis and fresh lettuce. Served with a bowl of simple broth.
It’s delicious and open 24/7 except Sunday, which means its perfect for a late supper after drinks. There isn’t much else to say except that you HAVE to try this dish. A true delicacy at only $4/bowl.
Food is not bad and reasonably priced
Great location great food street you can not beat it
Food and the coffee there is just ok.
I always come here for the relatively cheap and good minced pork noodles (thin noodles dry). It is probably the only place around the raffles place and boat quay area where you can actually find food priced at $4.50, yet at such decent quality. The place makes for good pre and post drinking meals, or just something you grab quickly after work.
Conveniently located in the heart of the city centre is this coffee shop that serves cheap food options, that are also good.
One of the tenant sells bak chor meesua, or minced pork noodles (for my foreign friends).
Given that it is opened 24hours on most days, it tastes best when you are hungry and a little hangover. @$4, pretty much the best things after you spend pretty much your last dime in the nearby bars.
There is also an Indian store, drink stall that sells beers, and occasional English oldies on speakers.
Who says you can’t find cheap food and drinks in CBD???
The Cai fan is abysmal but the toast set for breakfast is pretty nice. They’ve lost their bakchormeesua stall, which has moved across the street to Yan kee eating house!
I went to this coffee shop at the night and wanted to drink beer with some side dish
And I saw a stall at who sell dumpling and I order.it was so gd that I go buy it again I highly recommend this place and the stall too!
Nice little eating place with cheap but great meals.
Very tasty food, quick service, and we’ll priced.
The noodle is delicious
It’s local eating spot. Clean and fast to get food.
Nice ambience and great variety to choose even though there are only 2 stalls operating at the moment
Lots of choices.. stalls owners n workers are very friendly
IMO, best minced meat noodle in town. $4 for a bowl of delicious noodle
Best palce to have some beer with friends late night
Yummy dry Mee sua, a must try!
A nice little bar & eating place, enjoyed having a drink here whilst watching the world go by.
Consistent quality for over 5 years! Price is cheap considering that it is mee sua, since mee sua usually cost more. Alot of ingredients too, for 5sgd, got 2 fishballs, 2 meatballs and tender pork slices. So flavourful and yummy.
Choice of a few places and a beer bar. Chicken rice $4, big tiger $6.80 Great value, feels local.
Mixed rice variety is good
It’s 24hrs and convenient parking locality.
Good
Situated at the back of Boat Quay, I remembered a few years back my friends and I hang out there almost every night because the drinks a cheap and the ambient is so chill~ Best group outing/drinking coffeeshop. If you are on a budget for drinks, here you go!
Cheap and friendly, food is of good quality as well
Cheap and great food and it is always nice to eat in Hawker
New stall BCM is nothing like Yan Kee. It’s not bad but nothing special, even the ikan bilis is wrong!
Very good 24 hour minced meat noodles ….
Not bad, I always get the cai png, though not the best that I have had, but the owners are friendly. Also it was home to one of the best noodles around Clarke Quay (Yankee Noodle House, now across BK) but unfortunately it suffered plagiarism.
Different food options. Cheap and tasty.
Newly open stall Sinful Western. tried their Chicken chop fried rice. …
One of the best noodle places in Singapore in my opinion. It opens 24 hours and is very popular for folks feeling munchy after a night out.
Bomb late night noodles
nice place, the ba chor mee is the real star.
Liked the variety of hawker fare you can get here from this roadside coffee shop. From the mixed dishes with rice stall, to the Roast duck, Pork and Chicken Rice stall, Fishball noodles to mixes Thai food stall. Something for everyone!
Have a nice dinning experience today at this coffee shop.
I would highly recommend your to eat the sliced fish bee hoon and the ban mian. It taste authentic and super delicious!
I am their fan since the stall owner have their stall at goldern shoes carkpark. They have very good reputation and very good food.
Lastly, the stall is 欽平板面.
This is right opposite to hispster hotel.
At evenings, lot many people can be seen here for the affordable meal.. Its a mini food court with 4 diffrent stalls inside it.
Hawker style food. Guinness and tiger beer seemed popular here
Cheap food and clean restaurant.
Quite hot inside. Meatballs are as big as grapes
The most affordable drinking place in the nightlife area boat quey . Although a food court but excellent service
The fishball noodles there is nice and authentic!
Yan Kee Noodle House opens 24hrs except on sun. good place for supper. Mee Pok n mee sun also good
Mixed rice is alright. Food can be better.. quite cold
Cheap food, snack and drink. Energize you after partying at the nearby pubs.
Mee Sua w extra everything! Go to late night BCM cravings or for that post drink meal.
Truly amazing bak chor mee (dry) and for not too steep a price.
Great for late night refreshments or a quick feed. Has a great vibe about it
Prices went up a little. Less flair than before, somehow….
Nice place for low rate food but best food in town
24-hr coffee shop with a few stall options. Food quality are ok. The Chinese noodle stall used to be better. I’m told (but unverified) that the original stall has moved somewhere across.
Along Circular Rd/Boat Quay, it’s definitely a cheap decent eating option.
Food is pretty mediocre. Avoid lunch hours. Thankfully, there are many staff working to clean tables.
This place is like a hawker food court with 2-3 restaurants serving South Asia (including Singapore) food. Great.. Super cheap food available.
Nothing vegetarian here.
There isa shop that sells just beverages and beers for real cheap and chilled.
One can grab a table and self serve themselves with food. Smoking ok, as it’s open. 10 min walk from Raffles Place MRT Station.
Right opposite to Circular house and Hipster Hostel.
Good bak chor mee sua. Opens late too so it’s a good option for supper.
Good music, great seating though gets a bit warm.
The foods alright price considered….you could cross the road, check out a few other places as.well…
The fishball noodles i had is above average, but u will be appreciated by the good honest, and hardworking staffs that kept and returned my phone which i left behind. Very appreciative …
This place is perfect for people who loves soup at very affordable price plus food was Delectable
Great place to grab a quick bite or cheap drink. Yes, 7-11 has cheaper beer, but this place is open after 10:30.
They should remove the “no smoking” signs. Nobody respects them anyway.
Good old kopi tiam, 1 Indian Muslim store, 1 Chinese economy rice store, 1 banmian noodle store, 1 drinks store
Used to love the mee sua here. The taste is no longer as good. The new employees do not do a good job. It’ll be my last time here.
Good food
Cheap and great place to get food. Mixed vege stall, thumbs up. …
The rice no bad
Amazing food, food ambient and cold beer …
recommended place for good cheap beer. with music.cheap food as well.
6/3/2022
————
New noodle stall took over …
No stall.. can last over 6 mths
The stalls closes down very very frequently.
The food is expensive. Catering to night drunk crowds from boat quay
Great songs, lunch place and ambience but I’m mostly posting for the change in BCM (ba chor mee, minced meat noodles) owner. The new BCM owner actually imitated the previous original BCM. It doesnt taste bad but as a regular, there were differences and I’m loyal to my BCM uncles and aunties. The current BCM doesn’t get served to ur table anymore, the pork lard and jiangyuzai aren’t crispy anymore. The sauce lacks something. But the pork and noodles are still quite good though.
MAIN POINT IS. they actually shifted to opposite BK eating house and opened their own shop. Do visit them!!
Cheap, good and healthy food… One of my favorite lunch places
Food is good and reasonable. Crowded during weekday lunch times.
Having been going to BK eating house for a around 2 years, amazing bak Chor mee and good prata there!
A perfect place for after party meal and breakfasts!
Very convenient and friendly service
The minced meat noodle – I love it
I ate 3 times in a week cooked by different people at different timing as it is 24 hour. Standard varies but all nice. Staffs quite friendly too
Jao Thai – tried the pork leg rice and curry noodle. I would say it is not bad
Unique taste. Ok to skip.
Coffee – average but servers are nice and they kept the place really clean.
When I have some thing going on in the Singapore river.
As that time I only have $10 in my wallet and the restaurant is so expensive. I Google it and find this place.
When I went there I wonder what to eat?
Only when I saw there is this stall who sell sliced fish.I order one double fish you Mian.(双鱼幼面)
IT IS SO NICE!!! I would recommend people to eat this stall. Editthey move to yishun industrial street 1 Kim San leng)
Holy.. first time I used a kopitiam toliet that is so clean.. it even have dry floor.
Perfect spot in the area for a late night Mee pok fix.
Stall was open at around 12 midnight and uncle still had a few customers.
Ordered the traditional minced meat noodle (dry). Noodles was al dente, chili was just perfect and ingredients were generous.
Food was good. Liked the old vibes it has. Takes you back decades ago
Cheap decent food in the area friendly staff, clean place although selection is rather limited
Why only 2 stars? I’m told the landlord decided to pirate the famous noodle stall, which has since moved across the road (Yan Kee eating house). The stars are for the other food and drink operators there.
Small food complex with about 4 stores. Food is decent. Great place to grab a night snack. They open late.
Bak chor mee is damn good. I ate here regularly 3 years ago when i still in my clubbing period. Too bad knn they try to scam me of my $10 dw return change today .
3 star
Thanks for being a decent 24 hour bak Chor mee store here.. really convenient for those who OT or wake up early. Bak Chor mee was fine but had a small lump of uncooked noodles weirdly enough. Otherwise it was decent and the soup had a fair amount of flavour.
Mixed rice very nice, affordable price
Thai food cook by Thais are never wrong. Only thing is we here in Singapore lack of pig’s blood cube.
Bak chor signature mee sua is not so delicious because the uncle gave me soup mee sua instead of dry even though he asked if i wanted chili and i said yes. He then poured out the soup and re-flavored it. The mee sua tasted so bland oh my goodness.
Edit: tried the mee pok dry just now and it tasted wayyyy better.
The best Bak Chor Mee and Cheap beer in Singapore!
Always a great place to enjoy be it lunch or dinner. Great food n staff there is friendly.
I just read that this mee suah stall now is different from the classic one that used to be here for the past decade. Changed owner? Still pretty good though.
Very tasty food for reasonable money.
A wonderful place to eat and drink beer at a reasonable price. Very close to Singapore river.
Don’t get ripped off at overpriced restaurants nearby. Come to this place to enjoy beer!
Good little local food court just off the street with a variety of small vendors. Perfect for a quick bite m
Number of hawker food options. Open till very late, so even good for an after club beer.
The mee sua is too sour for, nice combination ikan bilis & minced pork. The uncle can speak malay …
Nice prata, I tried 1 cheese and 1 mushrooms. Total “damage” $5 with a lime juice
Yummy bak chor mee which is available early in the morning. At 7 am, this coffeeshop offers a nice peaceful dining environment.
The mee sua have a different taste compared before. Before is more tastier. …
A good place for late night snack. Prices are decent, below $5. The bak chor mee sua is a must-try.
Best soup combination with Mee Pork…now shifted OPP yan kee noodle house….don’t waste time queing they are new owners using the old name….visit Yan Kee Noodle House just opposite…ok
Simple, cheap hawker centre in town, good vibes because it’s surrounded by bars and music.
Pretty unique Ban Mian dry as the sauce is different from those usual one outside. Food is good aside from the warm environment.
Very nice local food at very good price
Good food at affordable prices for people working in the area
Only here for the Bak Chor Mee in the morning at 7 am .. one of the few places that are open at that time. But the coffee is weak.
A go to place for the well deserved meal after partying hard at the nearby pubs. Don’t come on Sunday as they are closed.
Thai stall here is quite legit with varieties of Thai dishes, including the unusual ones that cannot be found in other stalls like Khao Soi.
Hawkers center well located close to the entrainment area and cbd center of Singapore.
Excellent and cheap noodles (bak chor mee and fish ball noodles) and curry/prata! Highly recommended for drunk pubbers and sober pedestrians
Awesome food joint. Cheap! Fast! Good!
Changing from my original 5 star review. bk eating house used to have some of the best minced meat noodle (bah Chor mee) and mee Sua in the country.
That stall has now shifted to Yan Kee Noodle house opposite. Go there instead.
I dream about this dish. I came here two days in a row. The minced meat with either the thick or thin noodles were incredible. It had the right amount of vinegar and spice, kept the noodles slightly moist. My mouth is watering as I sit here writing this review. I wouldve share a photo but I was seduced by the smell and devoured it before I could.
