Traditional hokkien dishes..good food served here!

Flaming chicken, beijing crispy skin duck are very tasty, both has flavour infused in the meat. Duck can be served 2 style 1. Eat with pancake skin 2. Duck mee suar. Prawn roll is fat & juicy, must order! Kong bak bao can skip. Orn ni (yam dessert) is a must order!

Service is good, not sure why the bad reviews prior..

Not sure if they are honest with the peking duck serving here. $68++ for a whole duck but so little skin was given. Have tried another restaurant down the road and their full peking duck comes with 2 boxes of skin. Maybe this duck is the size of a pigeon?

We went there hoping to have a good and simple lunch today. Food was passable but we were disappointed with the attitude of one of the staff. She had unkempt hair, dirty fingernails and was dressed in a black uniform which I think was not appropriate as it is now still CNY and she is NOT working inside the kitchen. This staff was out there receiving guests, taking orders, serving dishes and handling payments. At one point while clearing an emptied dish from the table, she caused the dirty serving spoon to drop, hitting one of us, before it landed on the floor! What made us even more upset was she didn’t even bother to apologise! The staff needs to be redeployed and retrained if you want your guests to have a good experience at your restaurant.

Service is prompt. Waitress is friendly and come around to recommend dishes. Ordered half a Peking duck. The skin is crispy and fragrant. A pity there is not enough spring onion to go with the wrap. Disappointed with the spring roll. It is rather bland. The braise pork with steam bun is pretty good. Will try the oyster omelette and the flaming chicken in next visit.

The prawn paste chicken wings could be bettee though. Overall a very good experience and will return again in future.

Underrated restaurant. It’s private, quiet and the service staff, a young lady in red and a guy who probably owns the restaurant are very friendly, nice and professional. The food was amazing! We ordered the UFO oyster omelette and half a Beijing duck. The waitress brought the Beijing roast duck out and sliced it before our eyes. Very professional. Super good value for money and everything tastes amazing. Highly recommended!

This place seriously needed a re-op for proper management. Restaurant opened at 6pm, and no one was at the entrance to usher the guests in, nor were there anyone to check on our reservation. The service was also hap- hazarded as our order of a noodle was missed, side plates were not changed, and slow replenishment of water. Our noodle arrived at our table cold, probably left at the counter for a while and despite our several reminders of the missing order. Not to mention, there was no standard uniform, and hence you wouldn’t know who were the wait staff. A lady was wearing a flaring long sleeves, and as she was serving the dish, her sleeves swept through other dishes…it was plain unhygienic. The dishes were average, and the overall dinning experience was a huge let down.

My family and I visited the Thomson outlet on 21 August. We were greeted with warm smiles as we were led to our table. Our bellies were very happy and full after a hearty meal of good authentic Hokkien mee, hei zhou and kung pak bao. All my cravings were satisfied at this lovely, cosy restaurant, tucked away in a quiet corner of Sembawang Hill Estate. In addition, qinglong vegetables are also served here, which is quite hard to find in most Chinese restaurants. 5 stars rating! Can’t wait to revisit this place

My 5 or 6th time here over 18 to 24 monthz…like the simple food etc and when with the kids the flaming chicken is a good bet. Tasty and reasonably priced. Wife likes the friend rice and me the mustard leaf sauteed. Just tried the popiah and was good!! First ate at their main bedok branch few years ago but was closed last year Dec 18. Oh forgot the general chilli sauce is v good and alao the fish skin appetizer..

Decent restaurant for a family gathering or events like Mother’s Day. Reserve a table abd turn up on time because crowds can overwhelm the service crew. Private rooms available for reservation as well based on certain spending volume. Go for their signature Flambe chicken. Skin is nice and crispy. Expect to pay about $30 per head.

First time to this restaurant on 18-Sep to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Was the only customer when we arrived. Two staff manning the restaurant. Food options were good, so was the service of a younger staff (later heard she was niece of owner, sort of). Food service was considerably slow when there was only a couple of tables occupied, but understandable with only one chef. Taste, quality and portion of food deserved high rating, as well as ambience of the restaurant which my parents enjoyed. The entire experience was dampened during payment where the older staff behind the cash machine made a minor mistake, yet took her own sweet time to redo the bill. I had literally stood in front of the counter for 10min looking and waiting for her to pass me the corrected bill. The best part was she wasn’t apologetic at all (whereas the younger staff apologized for the delay) and upon finally sorted out the bill, she simply TOLD me to tap my card and handed over the receipts, without a single bit of remorse for making a customer stand and wait in front of her for an unacceptable amount of time just to make a cashless payment, all because of a silly mistake she made. Overall, I liked the food and setting but the last part of the experience caused them my support. I thought I had found a restaurant that I will like to patronize regularly for all of my family gatherings, considering that the former restaurant that our family had been going in the last 10 years had closed down due to the pandemic. Looks like my search for a good restaurant that provides nice food and professional service will continue.

When I went to Bee Heong Palace Restaurant, there weren’t many customers so we got a table quickly. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was served promptly, but it was average in taste. The spinach with trio eggs was rather bland, and the sweet and sour pork was a really small portion. The price, though, was expensive and it wasn’t value for money. Apart from that, the experience was pleasant overall.

Pretty good Hokkien delicacies. But as other reviewers had mentioned, the service can be slow and lacking. They have no service charge or GST over here though. How about a fair bit of give and take?

It wouldn’t be a pleasant sight if most we get are standardised same tasting food across big F&B chains. We don’t actually have alot of such small restaurant establishments left in Singapore, more will disappear if we gonna be all that harsh. Give them some time to improve. 😉

My favorites from this meal were Xiamen oyster omelette, Beijing roast duck, orh nee with gingko, qing long cai and gong fu chicken.

The service is slow as there are only two staff running the place. There’s shortage of manpower during peak hours. Customer walking out the restaurant seems to be norm for the staff. A family walked out after waited a long time for them to take orders. They appeared to be nonchalent about it. Customers help themselves to the utensils and condiments as it seems to be faster to self help rather than waiting to be served The food taste average. They really need to brush up their service standard.

Reached there late at night for the last order at 9.30 pm. Waitress is kind enough not to rush us. First time at this restaurant… is happy with the dishes. We order salted egg prawn, which has fried yam as topping… Very delicious. Order sweet soup pork, solid meat without fats.. thumbs up! Hotplate tofu came out sizzling… Can hear the chef cooking in the kitchen. Unlike nearby restaurant… Where dishes are serves almost instant. Can’t see that this restaurant serves freshly cooked food. Final dish is qinglong veg, this can’t go wrong and luckily nothing went wrong. Service was pleasant even at this hour. Don’t mind to wait a little at such restaurant knowing that the food are cooked to order and not precooked for reheat! Cheers Andy jiayou! Will visit again on another late night.

Came here thought to expect good hokkein cuisine but very disappointed with the food and service. We are here to celebrate the Chinese New Year celebration with 2 tables ordered. Firstly the room given to us was rather small for 20 of us. Aircon in the room is way under capacity required. The food we ordered served wrongly and waited long time for the food to serve one after another. The fish maw soup is so tasteless and not even taste the traditional Hokkein food, the steam Bating fish was good , the stew pork bun and the Hokkein mee are disappointed in terms of the taste . Parking nearby and waiter is ok but a bit of disorganised. If Toh come to just eat without expectation would be fine! Won’t come back again for sure.

We book in advance requested vegetarian menu and strictly no mock ingredient. Impressed with the healthy food, decor and effort put in to accommodate our request.
