Over Chinese new year the square is packed with independent traders selling a miriad of products from all over Asia. On normal days street performers can be seen with their money pots and nowadays their QR codes so they can be tipped electronically. The hawker stalls nearby are a lot less now after COVID-19 but you can still get some good ethnic dishes. Salam is a great stall for a Roti pratter a thin folded pancake served with superb curry sauce.

Empty space between Bedok Mall and Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre. There are some benches where you can sit. Sometimes there are Zumba classes here.

Convenient place to eat and relax after shopping. There are bus interchanges and shops and hamburger shops and snack bars and subway stations nearby. convenient transportation.

This is an atrium like area/space whereby various activities may be orgainised ie roadshow, stage performances, festive stalls etc. As it is shelter and located next to the Bedok Mall and Interchange Food Centre, the location is a good location and easy to find/reached.

Somehow this place strikes a cord with me. The high ceiling, spacious, the huge screen and the constant pedestrian movements makes the whole place so vibrant and energetic. Definitely a well utilised and used space. Wonderful to see focused events, pasar malam, was even used as a vaccination centre..
If only all housing estate centres can hv such well designed, well ventilated space for community events, etc…..
Bedok Central is really a buzzing place everyday of the week…. Cheap cooked food and visitors are spoiled for choice. Aside from central hawker centre, there is the nearby blk 216 market and hawker centre (within 5 minutes of each other). There are at least another 6 coffeeshops within 3 to 5 minutes apart. Not to mention, NTUC Fairprice and Finest and a huge Sheng Siong.
