A very good variety of food. Must try the kuay chup, Bedok chwee kuay n soon kuay. Unfortunately, the Tiong Bharu big pau is quite a disappointment but the char siew pau is outstanding.
So many nice food to choose and quite a crowd place to eat and spend time with friend but need to wear masks
So many choices and everything you need in that square kilometer
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Gd place
Well, what can I say About Bedok Town, the very place I embraced my coming of age. Bedok Town is part of me, my memory… from hanging out with my schoolmates at the skate park (now occupied by Heartbeat) even though we were nerds who can’t skate to save ourselves, to casual dates with my first impression of true romance.. this place holds a special place in my heart. I still remember the sheer excitement when I was 7 and my mom took me to the library.. the first library I ever visited in my life…
To others it may be just a centralised neighbourhood, a place for groceries, a passing MRT Station… But to me, it will forever be a source of my pleasant flashbacks and truly a big part of my life’s journey.
This morning, I went to Chai Chee NTUC where now more and more things add into the stores. That’s should be the ways, also now they organised the items in orders. Well Done Chai Chee. I gave 5 – – – Golden Stars.
UPDATE: The Hush Puppies outlet is closed permanently. I am eager to see which new business steps in.
One can also recycle batteries and plastics at the recycling points at the basement near NTUC Fairprice.
A place which combines the charms of both older times and modern times.
It has traditional style hawker centres, and also newer ones like Food Loft, along with a food court at Bedok Mall.
Variety of food choices including Subway, Macdonald, Yakun.
Plenty of shopping choices too, ranging from low price Value Dollar shop, house hold, bakeries including Bengwan Solo, fruit sellers and much more.
Ntuc Fairprice, with another one at Bedok Mall. Sheng Siong as well.
It also has a makeshift shop which sells Men’s shirts and ladies tops, run by a Husband and Wife team. One can have a personal touch here since it is not crowded and can talk to the owners.
Bedok Mall has a mix of shops including Levi’s, Body Shop, Innis, Sea Horse, Popular, Best Denki
Overall, a place to just relax with food, for shopping or both.
Work place near bedok bus interchange. Always had a hard time to decide what food for breakfast and lunch. Too many super duper yummy stalls to choose from. I am spoilted for choices…. ha.ha.
A fair mix of everything. Mainly elderly crowd. Difficult to get a seat at popular areas during peak timings.
Great food and many shops offering good prices
The best!! A lot of shop and hawker center
Nice place to buy things at economical prices
Can find almost everything there. As for the food wise, at the hawker center are decent. Cheap food and taste good too.
A lot of delicious food
On eof the cheapest place in Singapore to buy all sorts of stuff. From fruits to clothes to household items. Always have good bargains in Sheng Siong. Also very well connected to IKEA Tampines, Parkway Parade, Airport, Expo, Changi Point etc.
Went to Heartbeat @Bedok Kaki Makan for lunch. Enjoy the foods. Many varieties to choose from.
Amazing place to hang out.
Been living in Bedok area eversince 8years old…till now am going 50yrs …. so enjoyed the convenience we had all around us.
Kampung areas developed into modern satelite town with modern amenities.full of goods&services
Many shops and wide array of goods
Very fresh and cheap vegetables and fruits in Bedok town
Ate TRIO LAKSA (chicken, prawns and cockles) @$4.50, worth the value for money
Very sedap gravy and lots of grated laksa leaves, yummy.
Highly recommended
Another food hunter paradise… affordable and tasty food with wide varieties to choose from. Easy access. Must try!
Very convenient with many amenities in surroundings. Good place to shop and stay
Love it.
In the town centre you can find everything from barber shops, beauty salons, mobile phone shops, banks, clinics, to convenience stores, and supermarkets. You can get groceries 24 hours from Sheng Siong, NTUC, and there is a Public Community Centre at the bedok heartbeat.
There are many stalls including muslim food. Curry mee, chicken rice, kueh, duck rice, fried mee and dessert stalls attracted many customers. The location is near mrt and bus interchange means there are ppl eating any time of the day.
Cheap and good tasty local delicacies available. The usual hawker fares, western delights and the new popular spinach soup stall are some of the nice things to look forward to! Fast food delights like Maki San and KFC are available too!
There is a large variety of food choices available on their menu. But the service spoils the ambience. Went on Sunday 5pm even made reservation but was told they were not open when we reached. Waitress told us they are shorthanded and don’t really attend to u. Portion is quite small for regular size. Ordered mee basok but missing the mee (noodles) just soup was served.
The price of sundries seem so affordable in midst of inflation.
It’s a big hawker centre with well spaced
Sittings. It has various Queued up eateries.
It’s only the lightings that’s my concern.
It’s one of the cleanest hawker centre that I hv Makanan.
Huge place with many foods and drinks
Always crowded
It can be affordable to stay in Sg especially if one :
1. Eats at the food courts / hawker stalls which serve food like home (Chinese/ Malay / Indian
2. Travel by public transport or walk
Safe.
It is safe even to walk in a deserted undercarriage way to cross the road to buy essentials (as encouraged by my daughter and son in law and discovered it is true).
Healthy.
Health is a priority and I count my blessings to be able to have regular evening walks safely around the blocks and use the readily available exercise machines placed at strategic sections of the grounds.
Comfort
I don’t feel greasy or uncomfortable after being out and coming home. But I do tend to wash n have a shower and change my clothes because I do believe in masking, washing my hands n doing my part to be a responsible human being.
Food
I love Cho Chiat Road where many Vietnamese shops are located. I think it is my love for pho. Generally Vietnamese food is gentle and petite. I know we don’t describe food as such but I like the dishes for being so. My SIL (son-in-law) said I would love a trip to Vietnam. Hummm…
Go green
During the Stone Age, people had not much spare time for recreational activities but once they were able to settle down and became farmers, innovation n creative past-time became available. Sg is an affluent society n education and how-to’s are taught freely. I grew and harvested twice spring onions during my three weeks stay. Almost every satellite communities I ventured into has a corner or stall selling potted plants and garden accessories.
Classic heartland shops, if you’re a east sider then it’ll be a trip worth making. There are a wide array of shops there, ranging from food to clothing.
Nice place to visit and dine, with a big food centre, many stalls, managed to check some nice stalls, nice surrounding and Bedok mall is just next door, thanks
Nice little neighborhood area with lots of shops that make you feel like you’re in old-timey Singapore.
Beautiful and convenient neighborhood
The place to get good and affordable food at the Hawker centres around the area, and you can get daily necessities at the shop houses too
Very busy place with lots of vendors selling a wide variety of goods, food centre offering a wide variety of food…
Great place! You can get everything you could possibly need from the amenities nearby
Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert. #02-24 is the best place to eat. Service with a smile + fast + ENGLISH spoken. Even near to Bedok MRT + NTUC FINEST. I like to eat the dry wan tun noodle. There r even prawn put into the wan tun. Delicious.. I will always order take away. …
Should allow COVID-19 Booster shot for all age groups to help protect against the coronavirus. Lack of sheltered walkway to protect against harmful UV rays from the sun and thunderstorm.
Well encompassed town center with lots of malls eateries and small shops to meet all your daily and personal shopping
Always a refreshed look.
Clean n Neat, nice pedestrian walkways. Good to restrict cyclists.
Like any heartland mall
Except with haidilao!
Safe entry for carpark would be at B2 for those driving
This place has improve alot since my last visit, which is 5 years ago. Alot of new structure and facility are upgraded. But the crowd still remain the same. This is a vibrant area by on my personal observation.
This is always a great place to hang around. You can get whatever you want and like.. from fruits till bread and cake, fast food, chinese and western food. Clothing till jewellery… banking facility, chinese herbal like bird nest and herbal teas, a few value stores selling items below cost…dont forget Bedok Mall is near by….can shop and eat till you drop
Getting larger crowd after lifting of restrictions. Nice place to shop
Vibrant town. First time visit sure you will return back again.
Good place to visit for lots of amenities. A great variety of food choices too.
Went to Jack’s Place Toa Payoh about a week ago with a friend,, both of us happy with their friendly service (Jack Teo and team) keep it up.! Thanks
Mini Sheng Siong. Cheap and good.
Excellent place for local food n grocery shopping.
The well known Bedok Central Food Centre has all the comfort foods I seek out all the time, from the fried carrot cake to the nasi lemak and cold dessert, this is food heaven just outside of the sparkling Bedok Mall, then further down the town centre with the hodgepodge of retail shops selling value products like personal care (shampoos & body washes) at much lesser prices than your big pharmacy chains such as the Watsons or Guardians or Unitys, the Bakers Talent bakery which offers interesting range of breads like salted egg yolk polo (咸蛋波罗) buns which we didn’t manage to buy because it was sold out and bubble tea stores like iTea which and Each-A-Cup dot the row of shophouses all competing for us to open our wallets for them.
The crowds are back and so are the smokers . With no designated smoking areas, they line the common pathways and create an unavoidable gauntlet of polluted air. …
Nice atmosphere. Lots of people during the weekend but not in a bad way. Lots of food places.
Has banks and 24 hr NTUC, decent coffee shops, small mall and 24hr Sheng Siong.
So much to see,and so many varieties of food to try. I can’t get bored coming here.
Lots of good food at reasonable prices..lessen pandemic rules is great for F n B , shopping for all ages .. Heartbeat Bedok host daily movies which is popular with senior citizens-plus point is crowd control n chairs provided. Today(7.6.2022) movie is “End of the World”..
A matured satellite town with everything you needed. From hawker food to fast food to restaurant.
Banking needs are all there too! DBS, OCBC, UOB, STANDCHART and even MAYBANK.
With a new sports centre, sports enthusias will be filled with joy. The Bedok Library is in the sport hub too.
Have many nice foods there. Nasi Lemak cheap and delicious. The famous ping xiang chicken rice stall is located there. They have a bubble tea stall there too. 豆花 with 白果also very delicious and can ask for less sugar.
New and modern mall. Place is huge and surrounded by so many hawkers….even in the mall theirs a new food experience everywhere you go.
Places with hawker centres, mall, bus interchange banks, supermarket, library n health hub.
You can almost find anything you require in Bedon Town Centre.Convenient place to go
Less crowded than before, very peaceful & orderly for a visit.
Crowded but surprisingly spacious with lots of space to walk around. Good amenities and eateries. Lots of BBT shops too!
Usually packed with lots of people walking around esp the stretch leading to the very popular 24hr ‘ABC’ shop. Wish that the distancing ambassadors can be more alert and proactive rather than just chatting away as they stroll along!
Amazing heartlands for all ages
This is one my favourite place to go. There are NTUC, Seng Siong and value dollar shop which serves all your groceries needs. There are also 2 hawker centres if you prefer to taste the local delicacies. There are also restaurants in Bedok Mall and Bedok Point as well. There are also many coffee shops within close vicinity. If you enjoy sports activities, head to heartbeat @ Bedok. For those who loves to read, there is a library located on level 3 and 4 of heartbeat. There are also many bank branches in the town centre as well. It basically serves all your needs.
Self sufficient..providing convenience and easy accessibility to the residents for their everyday needs.. amenities are updated and functional for use
Blk 216 is one of my favorite breakfast going places. Nasi lemak, prawn noodle, coffee..
Very convenient. Houses Famous supermarket, fast food outlet, international cuisine outlets as well. MRT is conveniently located.
A place where you find good food
Find all kind of stuffs and services you need here in Bedok central. From popular banks to tasty eatery. Easily spend 2-3 hours here for quick shopping in Fairprice, Sheng Seong or one of the retails shops then have a comfy food in one of the hawker centers or kopitiams before heading home via a bus or the train.
When we hv to do our big weekly shop, always go to Sheng Siong and then get fresh veggies n fruit from stalls outside
Great locations for food, shopping and social bonding.
Variety shop for eating & visit Besok Mall or catch movies at Djitsun Mall
When u r at bedok hawker theres a lot of nice food there. Nasi padang, thai food, fish soup, carrot cake and chwee kueh.Authentic thai food cheap n good.
Central place in the Bedok neighbourhood. Has many self fix shops selling simple home furnishings. As well as quite a few hairdresser, banks and pharmacies.
SNEC clinic at bedok town centre.
A newly rejuvenated town centre with shopping malls and food centre. It is also conveniently located with mrt station and bus interchange within easy reach.
Clean and feels huge coz of high ceilings…just next to MRT station n mall…convenient
Convenient Supermarkets, Car parks, Hawker Centre and Shopping mall with heartland shops in one super easy location, including MRT and bus connectivity for everyone!
A busy place with all available. Ranging from hawker to supermarket, malls, MRT and bus terminal, all can be found within perimeter.
One of the very few remaining self-sufficient heartland town centre of old with a lot of neighbourhood shops selling all sorts of stuff from handphones, kuehs, bakeries, clothes, knick knacks to money changers, pawnshops, all major banks atm/branches and post office.
Bedok, still one of the best places to go
Infect in Bedok Town or Central there a great foods can get, varieties of your choice. Halal or Non Halal, all are very close.
Heartland mall. Bargain items can be found here but need to do your own diligence.
Totally new look from yesterday years. I can’t recognise it after few decades of no visit
Consider a mature estate, Bedok Town Centre has plenty of amenities. Supermarket, food stalls, shopping mall, bus terminal, mrt etc. It’s a place where it’s really popular with residents around the area.
Bedok mall is a verry varry nice plces to heng around n so many things u can buy..n what ever u whan to find it is there @ bedok mall..n some more is so near at bus interchenge n smrt..
I love Bedok hahaha but there’s only Bedok Mall that’s worth visiting
Love it! Lots of shops to satisfy every whim & fancy. Good prices too
Sparrow, the items are value for money, so buy what’s you need only
Lots of traffic and business activities. Plenty of fruit stalls selling durians too. Photo taking available @ Fuji Store.
Lots of local food available.
Nice shopping mall!
Old world town center aside from the malls. Good bargains can be found here
Like any ol shopping centre but not very crowded. Loved that!
Bedok Town Central is big and has many local stores selling household stuffs.
Very good choices of fruits, hair saloon, money changers service. Preferred here than Tampines town center
One of the most popular mkts ive enjoyed for its great food and relatively cheap pricing. No wonder its extremely hard to get a seat. Smile, u will get one pretty soon!
The store occupies 2 storeys and they have a wide variety of products. I’m impressed. The prices here are also very reasonable and usually there are products on sale which helps us enjoy great savings.
You can find fresh meat and live seafood and other fresh products at level 1. Other items are at level 2.
My grocery Haven. Fresh meat and seafood is the most popular here. Things always well stocked and staff are genuinely happy people. Always a good work out shopping as one would have to comb through 2 levels of shopping area to get a good variety of things. They even have toys and school necessities!
And recently, mountains of durians!
Still quiet not so crowded. Most of the shops are open for visitors.
Still good offer for shopping centre
Decent town center with necessary needs catered.
Buzzing marketplace, with NTUC Fairprice, Sheng Siong and a whole host of shopping options, bordering Bedok Mall, Bedok Point, Blk 216 Pasar food court and Bedok Heartbeat, all within a radius of a few metres from the Bedok Town Centre.
Many good food and cheap. Wet market also friendly and easy going
This central place have many foods malay nasi panda, mee Rebus both very gd n many Chinese foods please try.
can find nice handmade chee cheong fun, Tai Wah pork noodles and king of fried rice, all in one coffeeshop.
But the standard of Tai Wah noodles has dropped significantly.
Wide variety of hawkers with competitive prices. Unfortunately many shops close quite early by around 12-1pm. Houses some famous stalls also.
Enjoy the great variety of food offered at the Bedok Hawker Centre.
A good shopping area, variety of food to suit individual palate. A bus interchange, hawkers center, shopping mall and shoplets in and around the place. Plenty of parking spaces but not sitting places during weekends. If you go alone, be prepared to eat your food standing up. hahaha, just kidding.
Vibrant neighbourhood with shops, malls and bakeries tucked in the heartland of HDBs and most importantly the various ATM machines are available. Most of the hawker centres merchants accept digital payment too. Buses, MRT are available too for driving there are open carpark and multi as well.
A strategic good venue which serves a wide variety of nice yummy dishes.
The center has been transforming very well the facilities within the bedok center it’s center on the library and the surrounding activity it become one of my best to go to
This is a new grocery outlet, previously known as Bagus from Bedok South. Most reasonable priced groceries in this area. Staff are efficient and friendly
Very big place and no time to finish checking out the whole floors and level as I was pushing my grandma on wheelchair to see the doctor at the polyclinic.
Alot of nice local food, crowded.
Many Durians shop easy to go and so much more to enjoy near hawker centre also.
Come here for food and doing your errands from banking to posting a letter (if you know where the post office is ). Maybe too many folks roaming around so risk of infection is high during the day but come during off-peak hours if you want to feel safer. …
A relatively small town centre with lots of service center
Great place for shopping and eating
Not much changes after the wash up only some CNY decorative stalls on display.
bustling town centre with good variety of shops and food as supermarkets.
Not bad.
Bedok Town Centre is the landmark of bedok housing estate, whatever things we wants to buy can be found there.Bedok Mall, and even bank and hawkers centre selling halal or non halal foods can be found there.Public transport such as MRT,BUS interchange and Taxi stand are in the vicinìty of bedok town centre,it played an important role for the outsiders to come to Bedok Town centre for dine or shopping.

Buzy place..
Lots of food shops, bakery and mall etc..
Crowded always.
My childhood hangout and will definitely remain as my favourite place to go to even though I have moved away 21 years ago. Despite with the renovations and changes, you can find absolutely everything in the whole town centre if you have spare time to walk around. Was surprised to see some of the old shops still running their business after all this while
Very lively place. A few shopping malls big and small together, HDB shops, two hawker centers, a wet market, a town hub, MRT and bus interchange. And cinemas. Library, polyclinic… So many things you can buy and so busy.
One of Singapore’s lively heartland center. And some nice local food with long queues at block 216.
Look for the dancing uncle at the coffeeshop at 216 who make tea and coffee.
Many things can buy from this place
It can be affordable to stay in Sg especially if one :
1. Eats at the food courts / hawker stalls which serve food like home (Chinese/ Malay / Indian

Lots of food available here. You name it , it’s available here. I love the cendul
Very convenient and my best choice for shopping.
Bedok Town Centre is conveniently located along New Upper Changi Road, which is accessible from the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and East Coast Parkway (ECP). It is also near to the MRT station and Bedok Integrated Transport Hub.
The town centre sees plenty of shops that offer a large variety of goods and services to residents and shoppers.
In addition, there are facilities within the vicinity like Bedok Mall, Heartbeat @ Bedok, East Coast-Fengshan Town Council, and food centres. This town centre offers a hive of activities at the eastern part of Singapore.
Bedok Town Centre is also directly serviced by the MRT and Bedok Integrated Transport Hub, making it easy for people to get here fast. It is considered to be a bustling spot with plenty of amenities such as supermarkets, food stalls, barbers, salons, and convenience stores.
There are several residential complexes surrounding Bedok Town Centre, so local residents often just walk here to do their weekly shopping.
You can also walk directly to Bedok Mall, the public library and Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre. Many outdoor restaurants are in Bedok Town Centre, so you can walk around and choose the best al fresco experience.
Great town center. You don’t get these in new estate. Love it always when I go. Without fail, I will also go to the Bus Interchange Hawker Center to eat the Curry Noodles from this store. Simply delicious..
It’s still good as small shops thrive…few big malls around there as the previous MP didn’t allow big malls to operate.
Somehow prices of fruits has gone slightly up as compared to Tampines.
Hardware same prices
Pricey Redman is there
Many shops to go to.nice environment.
Bedok TC n Mall is homely and cater many F&B establishments. Not classy but affordable.
Very lively place. Lots of places to do shopping for foods, clothing, household items etc.. etc..
Bedok Town centre is like a hugh shopping centre with alot of food snd beverages to eat and drink. Bedok Mall is conveniently situsyed near a bus-stop just outside of the Shopping mall within walking distance less then 8 minutes away to the Bedok MRT station and 6 minutes walk to the Air-conditioned Bedok Bus interchange within the bedok mall and a huge Bedok food centre just opposite of Bedok Mall.
Alot of people walk around. The place is immense with no shortage of food and the KFC is next to the Sheng Siong Supermarket and 15 minutes walk to the NTUC fairprice 2 storey supermarket.
The McDonald fast food restaurants are often crowded with students, office workers, normal customers, lunch and dinner time ate especially crowded including the weekends with very long queue.
Love this place especially for a wheelchair bound person like my mum when I bring her to the mall. The ease of navigating around the mall. We simply love this place.
Eat Hai Kee Soy Sauce Chicken noodle for lunch . Good & reasonable price .
Clean place n plenty of choices. Convenient, near MRT Stn n Bus Terminal.
…
Bedok shopping mall is a place place to shop, the price there is reasonable and I manage to get myself a ear big and also Uniqlo to buy some clothing there and the Food courts has a variety of food to choose, Chinese stall, Malay stall and some many more
It is place of food paradise. Most of the chain restaurants you can find it here. Many food varieties at coffeeshop or at the hawker center. Worth making a trip to explore food in this adventurous food town.
Good food. Unfortunately the ban mien stall is run by a China lady who undercooks the noodles. So u have to tell her to ‘overcook’ it.
Best for tourist purchase. Chep and best
Lots of variety. Great place for meals with friends and family
It’s ok best food only and cheap abc bargain if you are loving it.
All è mall in S’pore are clean n nice environment, full of a’cont n a lot fd stalls
Quiet alot of shops to buy things. Only thing is not much clothing, shoes, bags shop and cafe. But there is alot hair salon and fruits stall.
Nice neighborhood mall where you can find alot of eateries here!
Everything is here, including bus and MRT.
Great place for a variety of food from restaurants to big hawker centres like Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre that has famous stalls like Bedok Chwee Kueh, and Song Zhou Carrot Cake and Blk 211 Hawker Centre with numerous delicious stalls.
There are also at least 4 coffees hops and many fast food joints like McDonald’s, KFC and SUBWAY.
Lots of shops to get your necessities.. from hardware stores, supermarkets like Sheng Shiong, NTUC Finest and NTUC Supermarket. Buy very affordable stuffs like biscuits, chocolates and household goods from ABC value shop located opposite Blk 211 Hawker Centre.
Shop at Bedok Mall for your usual mall items or watch a movie while your kids attend music or tuition classes at GV at Djitsun.
There are also major banks like POSB, OCBC, UOB, Maybank and Singapore Finance.
BEDOK Town Centre has everything you need.
The coffee shop Food Hup has few additional stalls. All nice but special mention is the Tonkatsu; very nice.
A lot of nice food at blk 216 hawker centre.
The Bedok town centre is average beacuse my friend told that he hates ulift brands and got a lot of ulift brands in this area.
If you ever thinking of coming down to bedok central. Fyi the hawker centre next to bedok.centeal and bedok.mall is Closed for cleaning. Today 21jun 2022 Tuesday.
Plenty of local food at his food court .
My favorite local shopping place. Food and things are cheap and good. You can see the local Singaporean culture and life style over here.
This food court is spacious n well ventilated. The cleaning staffs do a great job in cleaning up as this place is busy most of the time. The recommended food here is the pork congee, urn boiled soup, chicken curry bee hoon, soto ayam, mee rebus, qwee kuey, fried carrot cake, nasi lemak, chinese deserts, fried soon kueh. Be adventurous if you want to discover your own food taste. Food is personal, so eat a hearty meal n feel happy. That’s life. Eat is LUCK
Good place for shopping and food. Many good food available at hawker centre and restaurants. Two big supermarkets and many shops selling all kinds of household goods and fairly cheap fruits shops nearby.
Movie screening & good elderly supporters on a Tuesday afternoonoon
For @$3.00 a bowl of nice yummy fish ball noodles, especially it’s soup – ikan bilis taste, do yummy. Service wise – a warm broad smile charming lady to take your orders, they were courteous too. Thumbs up for food as well as service.
A place with bustling activity. There were some times with no social distancing though, with big crowds of people gathering to see the sale happening there.
Being a long time since i had lunch at here. More variety of food now.
Like most town centres in heartland, full of life and vibrant. Bedok is more, one can find many good hawker stalls that serve above average fares at reasonable prices.
Bright and spacious hawker centre with good mix of local fare. Some hawkers have been there since the start of this Hawker Centre. Almost every stall is busy at peak. One of the Hawker Centres where I frequent.
Great place for shopping and plenty of food to choose from to fill your stomach and thirst.
Hawker centre food is more expensive since NTUC took over. It’s nice to be a little affluent to live around here.
Nicely designed Bedok Heartbeat with the library shifted in, swimming complex and Polyclinic easily access. Bedok Town central has always been very busy in the day or night. Many good deals can be found and many good food can be tasted.
You are able to visit entertainment places and to purchase all your needs within the location.
Is my home land to stay
The hawker Centre is beside the old army camp thats why some called it Bedok Camp hawker Centre. The stalls are very delicious and the patrons are very friendly and efficient. The nasi padang, the Malay cakes and Curry puffs and goreng pisiang are some of the items we can taste. Very nice place to visit. Not noisy and not crowded during peak periods. The price are reasonable.
Blk 216 which is right next to Heartbeat @ Bedok has a good variety of hawker fare from Kway Chap to Lor Mee to Prawn Noodles, Fish Soup to name a few. You will see long queues going for the crowd favourites. A bowl of Lor Mee at MaBo Is $2.50 which is very affordable in today’s standard of living. After eating, one can shop at the nearby shops etc ABC Value Shop, Jin Tai Mart, Phoon Huat, NTUC. Many confectionery shops too. An overall convenient place for makan and shopping.
Bedok Town uhh well. It is different from those days. They have a new Bedok Heartland with Library. Swinning Pool, shopping and other entertainments. One and only Kopitiam, the new Bedok Mall, Restaurants, Residents M.R.T and a Bus Interchange. Ok, we go back to 1980’s to 1990’s. I still remember Bedok had no M.R.T, Bedok Mall and Bedok Heartland. The old Bus Interchange and all the old shop. N.T.U.C. N.T.U.C was there in the year 1980 or 1990’s hope I am right. The name Bedok not BED -OK was name after a Malay drum BEDOK. That is how it had the name. History is wonderful Take time to know the old surrounding of Old Singapore Land make and you will be surprised how time have changed. I like taking my time walking around there and having Ice Cream.
If you are the person who wants to look for good and reasonable or to some cheap, I will definitely recommend this awesome place. You need to be fit and hardworking to walk the whole place to achieve, hopefully all that you are looking for.
V reasonable prices of veges. much cheaper than supermarkets. Frozen siew mai and Frozen prawns (choose the $8.50 ones) are of good quality. the fact that veges can be bought in loose quantities is a big plus for small families.
Something special here that i dont find in S Siong, NTUC or Giant.
Bucatini!
Bucatini is a fat spaghetti. i love it because it is fat n so absorbs a lot of sauce. Use a combo of pork mince ball n beef ball, tom yam paste, generous amt of garlic n 1 big red onion, a can of Heinz tomato soup (better quality than the other brand) n throw in 3 bay leaves. Season w some mushroom or chicken powder n pepper. When serving, top up with Parmesan cheese. Mama mia! SUUUPPERR!
Very good break up recipe. It tasted so good my boyfriend broke up with me after I served him this.
i am v happy he will remember my Bucatini even if he forgets me.
Joking. Not so drama.
Enjoy.
P.S. The bucatini is located right at the back of Sparrows.
A central neighbourhood place for many activities like shopping, eating with many options, marketing, etc. Easy accessibility with buses, cars, MRT, etc.
I can buy groceries, clothes and fast food also can send money to my country
Great vibe still, even with the restrictions. Never tire of coming here. Lots of good eateries too, if you know where to look.
Best market to shop all your needs
Went My Kampong for lunch. Place is not tidy and the untensil very dirty.
Comunity Centre, Library, Shopping Centre, Shops & Hawkers’ Centres conveniently located.
Very clean spacious if you bring along kids pram and no hassle halal food centre. The best in bedok interchange great for big families.
Bedok Town have one of the best integrated transportation, supermarket, shopping malls, market and hawker centre and shops that engage in all kinds of businesses within walking distance of each other. You can shop for cheapest products at ABC mart or Sheng Siong and NTUC. The fruit shop sells all kinds fruits quite cheap. Tien Ma is a cheap shop a reflection of ABC mart. The place is bustling everyday of the week
Good food, more shops.
So much to serve in this newly upgraded district.
Very lively place with lots of foods, shops, Ntuc, Sheng Siong, Cold storage and a shopping mall located here. Hawker centre offers the best local foods will reasonable price.
Salim working with ppis geylang saral officer into office 2years
A bustling environment at all hours
A few good hawker stalls. Look for where the queues are. There is a mall next to it, Bedok Mall and the bus interchange as well.
I went to the counter, and stood there for a while before the China lady asked for my order.
I ordered seafood soup with thick bee hoon. she seemed lost, and ask the other preparation staff if she can accept “seafood soup with thick bee hoon”. the preparation staff seems lost too.
A lady who just reported for work came up to the cashier and took my order.
I asked “Do you add milk into the soup?” and she asked me back “Do you want milk in your soup?” so I confirmed “Yes, please.”
After a while, I saw a bowl of noodle sitting at the counter, and asked if it’s mine.
Staff seemed annoyed and told me yes!
I commented “Oh, I requested for milk.”
The cook stared at the cashier and said “You didn’t tell me?”
Cashier confirmed that I did inform her that I wanted milk in my soup.
And there was a silence….
I stood there for a good 10 minutes..
Then I asked “Sorry, is it possible to add the milk now? or is it too late?”
Cook just raised her voice and shouted at me “I’m going to add for you! cant you see?” when all I saw was her cooking another customer’s order of noodle.
Well… nobody informed me if they are adding it for me, or are they expecting me to just accept it that way.
Overall, experience was super bad. I got shouted at for their miscommunication, silence of uncertainty, and food was not fantastic.
Noodle was not well cooked, a little hard, and ingredients was too little for the price.
As shown on photo.
Can’t see much floating in the bowl of soup basically even though I added Thick Bee Hoon…
Otherwise, I probably won’t see anything in the sea of soup.
Prawns were mushy, definitely not in the contexts of any sign of freshness.
2 prawns, 2 crab sticks, 2 slices of fish, and probably 3 leaves of vegetables, with my added miserable portion of thick bee hoon… $7.80.
Good selection of local food at reasonable prices. There’s also a wet market selling groceries, meat and seafood.
Very vibrant town central.Varieties of mom and pop shops as well as good local food
With many hair shop. Mobile shop. Fruits shop.. N 24hrs NTUC. Sheng Siong. N ABC cheapest shop in town… Fulfilled all household needs… Just a normal neighborhood center
A big place, but not much options but suffice for the neighbourhood.
Mature estate, so naturally quite crowded. Has library, sports centre, etc. around there.
A wide assortment of goods and food at affordable rates.
Bedok Town Centre has been a great place to shop since I was young. Many varieties of shops, eateries and supermarkets. A vibrant place!
Nice sized fair price there
Happening place. Lots of things to see, eat & experience here. Different places tht cld appeal to different age groups. Shld be a fun place for family outing. Best!
Very busy place with good prices on food & vast variety. Prices start at $2 & definitely a must place to visit. The wet market is also well stocked with all your needs. Must go or regret lah.
Bedok Town Centre has lots of shops and eateries to go too. You can get most things over there.
Great place to get your everyday shopping done. Almost every daily item can be bought here.
Harker food with tons of selections.
One of the oldest and good hawkers’ centre in SG. Some fine hawker’s treats are avaiable. Drop by to see for yourself.
Good place for what it has to offer. Cannot expect too much but if you’re in here for your small needs like groceries food other items, then it definitely provides you with a bunch of options. It has multiple branches of different banks and utility shops, money transfer, it even has a branch of SBI located somewhere nearby.
No shortage of variety to satisfy any palate, and queues demonstrate that. But if you are not too fastidious, those without long waits merit tasting. Be surprised!
Very convenient location with many shops and supermarkets. 2 food centres in it. One shopping mall, Polyclinic and library too.
No longer a vibrant town to shop. Many duplicate fruits n vegetable shops, hair salons n hawker centres do not serve traditional authentic foods.
A lovely town centre with everything you’ll ever need! All varieties of hawker fare can be found at the food centre. Try the Lor Mee (stall facing the MRT station), ecomony rice stall toward the back, the chwee kuey and of course the dessert stalls too! The shops in the surrounding area are also a worthwhile visit and they span from Bedok Mall to the food centre and all the way to Heartbeat @ Bedok … Truly worthwhile place to visit!… !!!
Lots of food stores to choose from. Very vibrant place
Great location lots of variety of goods and foods …parking is good …cheap items
It’s very good city ,can jalang any we’re the foods all very cheap and tasty also.
The town is well developed and is better than many other towns
This is an old HDB neighborhood with a preponderance of old folks, aunties shopping and Foreign workers enjoying themselves. Prices are better than nearby Tampines and the residents and shop attendants are friendly. But everything seems a little run down and worn out. But a charming little neighborhood with outstanding food choices. A must visit for a feel of an old style HDB neighborhood with great amenities and food.
Wide variety of hawkers with competitive prices. Unfortunately many shops close quite early by around 12-1pm. Houses some famous stalls also.
Has a variety of local cuisine
Good place for food and fruits. A variety of fresh fruits available here. I like how it is like an enclosed community of shops but location is still pretty central.
Great place for food. Nice shopping mall bedok mall
Last time I visited was maybe 5 to 10 years ago n my goodness, surroundings have changed along with d tennant mix. Pizza n fast food have retreated into air-conditioned malls; electrical appliance stores too..
Typical HDB town centre but pedestrianised. Has a food centre near the Bus Interchange at Bedok Mall. Bedok Mall has NTUC Finest at B2 and Bedok Mall links MRT to Bus Interchange and walk through Town Centre to Heartbeat @ Bedok.
It’s good and nice place
They have Timezone and Kopitiam there. Many bakeries and eating places.
God variety of shops at Bedok Centre. Hawker centre serves reasonable & various types of food to all races.
Nice place to buy home things
Cheap prices, variety of items from meat to frozen goods anf vegetables.
Nice town centre to sight shopping n food
Lots of shops. Great place to go and get stuff.
Price is cheaper than nearby NTUC supermarket
Good place to shop for household everyday stuff and many other things such as confectionary and cake shop, POSB and banks shoes and slippers shops open air and multi storey car parking…
Good neighbor’s amenities!
Spacing
May consider to build shelter between the shop’s houses
In case raining or strong sun(cause along the shop houses, the walking path is mostly up n down
Not convenient for old folks n small boys
N bad for their knees !
Strategic location – One Stop Centre. A Downtown Shopping Centre brought to the neighbourhood. And “HeartBeat” or a Community Hub is the best development of amenities for any Heartland. Thank you to the Government.
A nut shell where everything you want and enjoy is there….
A wide assortment of goods and food at affordable rates.
Easy accessible and lots of shop and eateries and mall
I love the five guys at there their ramen is so good 9/10 will go back to the hotel again
The morrocan chef was very friendly, ari gatou!
Now the place very good have lot of foods stall .
Can be quite busy at times. Usual neighborhood shops and eateries
Good price and many selections
Blk 216 Hawker centre serve good food. But stalls start to close after 1pm.
Good food to makan
From personal experiences, it takes about 3 months on a 3 times a week basis to know almost all the shops and food outlets (have tried about 60% of them). A real local exploration of a housing estate hub.
My special needs son loves this place as he feels safe and comfortable here. That’s the key reason I come here often.
Cheaper prices for fresh produce, vegetables , groceries, etc.
Sparrows are welcome I guess. But one carrot, two onions, 3 chillies…
I visit the swimming complex 6 times a week, usually 6.30am or 7.45 am.
Very clean, staff are very professional, excellent facilities.
Big Mall. Many eateries at hawker centres and food courts.
Very easy to move about the town centre. Bedok Heartbeat is right in the middle of the town centre. Two big supermarkets, lots of sundries shops, hairdressing salons, pet shops, bargain stores, bakeries all tightly packed in this compact place. Plentiful good local food available at reasonable prices. A favourite haunt with many from other estates.
Nice place for food
Lots of hawker options but always very crowded. There is no aircon so go only when the natural climate is good for al fresco dining
Many Nice Food here in the Food Center
This place is full of vibrancy with a number of shopping options- grocery, garments, hardwares, shoes, spectacles, hawker food stalls, public library etc. One can never return empty handed once a person visits this place.
A crowded yet nice place to be.
I have not been there ages since I retired about 5 years ago. Same place but a bit congested. Crowded. Some shops still sell affordable items.
Established estate, you have everything… From wet market , fish, vegetables, etc. to baking items…
It’s always crowded but easily accessible compared to the outlet at Bedok mall basement. Use the KFC app for order placement and just pickup only to avoid the Q. KFC had reformulated their recipe, back to the finger linger good traditional taste. Chicken is juicy and tasty.
You can almost everything in this neighborhood town centre Most merchandises are decently priced and with walking distance
Lots of good food like Kway Chap, Vegetarian You Tiao, Teochew Porridge, Dancing Coffee, etc.
Big place and more food stall for taking meal
One of the Best HDB neighbourhood area. Polyclinic, childcare, swimming complex, supermarket, banks, hawker food, fast food, goldsmith, Singapore National Eye Centre, playground, pharmacies, phoneshop, money changers, fruits, clothings etc. Everything is within arms reach and so convenient. There is a photo kiosk too been there for ages. They print, copy and laminate too.
Good high qual fine cotton dress collection at Uniglo- Bedok mall! Almost silk like Liberty prints at low low price!
