Awesome time with my family here. The tranquility and serenity of sea and sun really draw you to this place. Coupled with fishing folks … a sight to behold when a catch is in… Been here several times early morn around 6plus. To welcome the sunrise is a feast for the eyes. I have captured these pics which make me come back for more. Different feel and look for each sunrise I would say, remember to snap away when the Sun ‘awakes’! Simply breathtaking …

My favourite spots , Just love to relax there and able to catch small croaker fish, sea bream and tamban.

Bring back home, deep fried them and eat with basmatic rice and homemade sambal belado, yummy , if you are just a beginner and wanted just an experience fishing, go and get tamban fishing rod for just only $15 comes with a reel.

Lovely jetty stretching 300meters off the shore. Very clean and windy. Good place to hangout with friends and family. Allot of fishermen and women trying their luck. People with good fishing ethics are all to be found here. I have also posted a man catching a stingray weighing 20kg and the battle with the fish lasted for more than 30minutes. We love being here just to listen to the sound of the waves and the breeze just blew away our tired working days! Definitely a nice place to hangout with friends and family. Saw there is a lot of night walkers coming here to catch fish and bring their own food and lazy chairs here just to sitting there to chitchat and leisurely!

Always crowded on weekend nights for fishing but you can always choose to go on normal nights if you’re not a 9-5 robot. I’ve caught a few fishes here but nothing big so far.

If you need small tambans for bait, after asar would be one of the times you should come here and let drop a line of your sabiki rig but remember to get those with really small hooks for it to be productive. Also while doing this, you might get to see how a few sagai fishes catch their prey by herding them all into a tight school before opening wide and swimming through it. Pretty much like those documentaries about big fishes in the ocean but on a much smaller scale.

And in case, you think small fishes is all Bedok Jetty has got to offer, me and a couple of friends have witnessed an uncle caught a 7kg stingray here before during night time. Tight lines..

Nice spot to feel the refreshing wind and relax, feels like in middle of the sea. Good place to see some part of Singapore’s skyline. It is peaceful – listen to the waves or see people fishing or the ships which are far waiting for their turn. A bit of walk but visit and feel it, especially in the evenings

A wonderful spot to cycle to and to fish at.

Weekends tend to be crowded with hobby fishers but it forms a wonderful educational experience for young children to see first hand fishes and how they are caught. Most of the fishermen are generally quite friendly and are willing to share about their hobby to adults and children alike.

As a jetty, it sticks out a fair distance away from the shore and affords nice perpendicular views of the eastern coastline. The view looking westwards is particularly charming.

If you’re in luck, as a double bonus, rainbows might form after a mid-day shower.

One of favourite locations for locals to fish and cycle along. Bedok Jetty was originally built by a local businessman Mr Yap Swee Hong at a cost of $1.5 million in 1966. He did this to facilitate the importation of scrap metal from the Americans who were engaged in the Vietnam war at the time. It was built in the reclaimed land of East Coast under the East Coast reclamation.

Unfortunately not into fishing but here you will get to meet lots of fishing buddies. Evenings these days not recommended as the jetty extends pretty far out into the sea and there are quite a stretch of container ships and vessels moored just miles away puffing out diesel exhausts, resulted in poor and polluted air quality around the jetty.

Nice place to cycle out to or fish from. Probably the only jetty that allows you to get so far out to sea along East coast Park. Abit of a walk, so I suggest cycling. And there’s no shelter, so come prepared

We got here at the midway point of our evening ride. The sign said it was partially closed as they were doing work, but that didn’t mean it was closed, you can ride all the way out, and watch the planes come flying in. Note for people that would like to relax out here, there are no seats, so bring your own, or sit on the hard bitumen.

Fishermen paradise. Every single one has laid out their equipment along the perimeter of the jetty. You will find white boxes here and there, as well as dozens of fishing rods attached to the railing. They look aept, seem to have been doing this for years. Wind blowing to your face. Evening stroll recommeded. Cyclists wizzing past here and there. When the light go down, and the wind gets stronger, you start to appreciate the beauty of staying still and observing. Creates an inner calmness in you. One of the least crowded spot along the ECP. Nevertheless, they begin to dissipate right after sunset. Can spot planes occasionally. A vast network of ships harbour right outside the coastline.

A sizeable, long fishing pier located at the coast in East Coast Park near to the skate park, it is a popular place for anglers, walkers and cyclists. Anglers come in all ages and sizes, groups of old friends shooting the breeze, the serious anglers with full equipment and families with young children. Walk to the end of the pier, look back and you will realise how far the jetty extended out to sea.

Bedok Jetty is well known for its beautify scenery and fishes. This place is home to the Tamban Fish. It is fun and easy to catch Tamban fish (Herring family). Simply get yourself a Trusty Tamban rig, attached to a rod and you can start catching the fish.

Bedok Jetty is also filled with many other types of fishes. Contra to what many are saying that this place has no fish, it is loaded filled with fishes. Some of the largest fish in Singapore are caught here at bedok Jetty. Big catches here include Stingrays and large Garoupas and Snappers. You just need to be patient and use the correct lures and Fishing Rigs.
