This new restaurant in Barcelona’s Born neighbourhood is a little gem which is definitely worth a visit during your trip to Barcelona. Beware though, that it is popular and it is usually not possible to simply walk in off the street and get a table, so booking in advance is definitely recommended.
The Montiel Restaurant can be a little hard to find and for reference is close to the Picasso museum, but if you take of the challenge of locating it, you are sure to not be disappointed when you arrive. It is a small, cozy restaurant on two floors and features walls which are decorated by local artists.
Your needs will be well taken care of by the very friendly and attentive staff. If you need someone to come and explain the menu to you, then that will be no problem. The restaurant also has over 80 wines to choose from and the advice given is extremely good, with wines served to compliment your meal and so not take away from the flavours of your food.
The quality of the food is excellent with many items on the menu which include locally sourced ingredients. If you are stuck for choice, try the tasting menu, you won’t be disappointed. You will find that your food is always served quickly and with no fuss and you will also find that it is good value for money.
