Good Range of very tasty Indonesian food. The chicken is crispy and tender. Came with Family and food comes very fast.

However during peak meal hours there may be a queue so must be patient, but very worth it eventually.

Delicious food. I didn’t expect it would be so good. The gado gado is light and delicious. The sauce is really good and has a hint of kefir lime leaves.

Ayam penyet wasn’t oily the breast meat is soft! The sambal is delicious.

Oxtail soup is flavourful, meat is tender.

Yellow rice is full of fragrance. The Tempe comes with it is delicious and reminded me of rice I had when I was kid in Malaysia.

Service is very friendly and food came

Not too shabby in terms of food quality as well as pricing. The view out is great and you can see joggers and families walking by the river. Having said that the serving size is quite small and avoid the steam vegetables if you can and stick to the popular offerings.

Nasi ayam penyet was delicious, save for the tempeh which tasted weird. The sambal was great. The crackers were OK, though a tad soggy. Satay was delicious too. Tasted similar to the satays I’ve had in Indonesia. One of female staff with a sleeve tattoo that was manning the entrance needs to be more professional. She seems disinterested and was on her phone most of the time.

The Oxtail Soup (Sup Buntut) is a must try! The Beef Rendang too. My husband and I just couldn’t get enough of the rich and savory flavour that both dishes had offered and so we decided to do a takeaway after dining.
I’m quite impressed with the way the staffs handled the crowd. Foods are generally served in under fifteen minutes. Cleanliness well-maintained too. Thumbs up for that! I have tried ayam penyet in various other establishments and I dare to say that Ayam Penyet President is up there with the best. It’s in a class of its own. P.S. It would be great if Martabak Manis is being served at all of your outlets instead of just that one outlet at North Point City.

The sambal here is to die for! There is simply no substitute for it. Very addictive. Not too spicy, just nice. Perfecto! Not your typical watery sambal belacan that you’d find at other eateries or hawkers selling Ayam Penyet. The chicken is fried to a golden crisp perfection and the meat is juicy and tender.

Food was served fast. Staffs were courteous. Price wise, affordable too. The number one stop for your Ayam Penyet craving. Much love! Xoxo

I also want to say a big thank you to the chefs for their incredible efficiency – My lunch was served to me in under 1 minute of me placing my order. I am thoroughly impressed. The Tahu Telur was the best I had ever tasted in my life – The tahu was so easy to eat, the crispiness on top, and the peanut sauce made it so special. Thank you for such a wonderful experience,

Finished my volunteer worked at 3:30pm. Met my wife for early dinner before bringing to watch a bit of the rugby game. We choose this President Ayam Penyet in Kallang Wave mall. We ate their restaurant elsewhere before.
You can already see there was not much fancy decoration inside but I do like this clock they have. I looked at the menu and filled up a form to place the order and then made payment.
They said I can have the complimentary soup which I took and also the utensils. They had too much pepper in it like the ones I had at their other location.
First came the grill chicken which was not bad. We shared the rice as I had enough carbo for the day.
The tauhu telor was quite good and my wife like it that they were quite generous with the sauce.
The grilled fish looked good but the tauhu that came with it were a little burnt. Even the fish too. So, a little disappointing.
The chendol was nothing special with not much ingredients can’t say I really enjoyed it.
Overall, the meal that cost close to $30 was more disappointing than when we ate at their restaurant in Orchard Road. The other thing I’m not so happy with is the sign at the cashier that said they only take Cash and NETS.
    ===========================
    完成了我的义工工作,下午3点半了。先和太太一起提早吃晚餐。我们在Kallang Wave商场选择了这位President Ayam Penyet。 我们之前在他们另一家吃过。
    你已经可以看到里面没有太多特别的装饰,但我确挺喜欢他们的这个时钟。 我看了菜单并填表下订单然后付钱。
    他们说有免费汤。我拿了。顺便拿餐具。就像我在他们其他餐厅一样。汤里下太多胡椒粉。
    先来的烤鸡并不错。当天我也吃了足够反面所以我们分享了一碗饭。
    这豆腐蛋还好而太太很高兴他们给的酱不是很吝啬。
    那烤鱼看起来不错但配着的豆腐烤焦了。连鱼也烤焦了一点。所以有点失望。
    Chendol没什么特别的,里面的料不是很多。不能说我喜欢。
    总体而言,花费近$30的餐比我们在他们乌节路的那家吃时更来的失望。 另一件我不满意的事情是收银处标明只只收现金和NETS。

Yummy Ayam Penyet and other Is Indonesian dishes at affordable prices.

The chicken was succulent and crispy without being greasy. The accompanying tofu and tempeh were very good too. Tofu was soft on the inside and tempeh was crispy. The catfish was very generously sized. Overall, I would say the portions were generous.

Only dish that was a a bit of a letdown was the kangkong which was a little soggy. Still, we will return for other dishes.

Pretty bad food, saving grace was the friendly and helpful staff.

    Food:
-Chicken Satay – served cold and was tasteless on the inside. I actually spat it out in fear that it was stale.
-Sop buntut – oxtail meat was tough
-Avocado juice – Pre-mixed and lots of ice so there was hardly any for a $4.50 cup. initially I thought it was freshly made and perhaps needed ice to make it cold but on seeing them pour from a huge jug in the chiller, I had to ask them for no ice for my 2nd cup and had to pay $1.50 more.

Ayam penyet here wasn’t too bad! I especially loved their chilli sauce – spicy, sedap and shiok (3S 🫡)

Price was decent too, comparing to other food courts within malls that cost about the same price nowadays.

The ayam penyet was surprisingly soft, easy to cut and munch! The seasoning isn’t as strong, so I do recommend eating it with the chilli. (They serve with a generous portion of chilli)

Store had adequate space to fit around 20 people, since we came in a big group. Staff were nice to help combine tables upon request and made us settle in comfortably.

    Plus points:
1a. Food was good for fried chicken and beef rendang.
1b. Strongly recommend – Beef Rendang.
    2. Great place for spicy/mala lovers. The spiciness is similar to indonesian normal spicy food. Word of caution to non-spicy eaters, beef rendang carries a little bit of spiciness but it is damn shiok.
    3. The food was served warm – not too hot/cold.
    4. Service was pleasant.

    Minus point:
    1. Interesting encounter. Tauhu Telok was very appealing, and not oily. However, the inside was a little mushy, not well-cooked, melted marshmellow texture can be seen with the taste of flour.

Despite it being highlighted and changed by the server, the 2nd Tauhu Telok failed to impress. This time round, it looks cooked but served cold as if it was a rejected order being served in a 2nd attempt. Didnt bother with this dish thereafter.

Me and my family’s favourite go-to restaurant!

We love eating here because the shopping centre is not that crowded and a plus point is that the smoking corner is just nearby.

I would recommend whoever to try their boneless milk fish together with their lime juice for an amazing combination.

The service is good. The food were served quite fast.
The food is okay too. I ordered the Chicken Satay, Ikan Pesmol (Fish in Gravy), Nasi Kuning (Yellow Fragrant Rice) and Kailan in Oyster Sauce. The Satay doesn’t taste like Satay and taste like teriyaki chicken.
The fish was good. And it was big. Worth the price I feel.
All these plus the drinks cost me $37.20.
It was okay to me since I share with my friend.

The food is delicious, maybe the service needs a little more grooming, because the customers are different people, so the waiters still have to smile at them and stay friendly, that’s all

Good service, value for money food. Would’ve been good if they had indicated that the sauce for the Bakar (grilled) items had some sambal mixed into them, making it too spicy for some kids.

Kang Kong was nice, so was the grilled beef and satay and grilled chicken. Would like to try the signature penyet dishes in future.

Money’s worth deliciousness! Traditional Indonesian delicacy – Ayam Penyet (Smashed fried chicken). Most muslim fried chickens are overcooked and too dry but this is juicy and tender with spices that made it heavenly. The Lotek (Steam Salad with peanut sauce) is a great appetiser to go along. Yum Yum Yum!

Ordered Soto Ayam. Not sure how it taste in Indonesia, but definitely not Singapore’s Soto Ayam. Singapore’s authentic version is best. Quality of Ayam Penyet are low too. Hope they put effort and improve.

Food is the same as we have eaten there a few times through the years. But their customer relations has deteriorated badly and now need a lot of improvement. We will continue to patronise the other branches where their customer relations are much better. Keep this up and they may end up as the least patronised outlet.

I’m wondering if all the bad reviews were fabricated? I had my dinner here last night.

Authentic Indonesian food. I had dined in other different outlets and I must say the taste and quality were the same. Finger licking good.

The staffs’ customer service etiquette was above and beyond. They were very accomodative and helpful. I have two toddler children and an old mother I brought along. The staffs showed us to our seats with such polite gesture and with no hesitation, they prepared the high dining chairs for my kids. One staff was even holding my old mother’s hand and guided her to her seat. Mind you, this was during peak hours and the restaurant was almost full. Shout out to Ms Lili and team! Keep up the good work!

My overall experience had been nothing short of pleasant. Just a suggestion to the Management to expand the variety of food offered. Best wishes to Ayam Penyet President!

Affordable And Tasty Ayam Penyet! Quality is always consistent and the price point is just nice for the quality of food you get. Restaurant is clean and spacious. Service can be better, although its acceptable I think with the number of staff someone should be greeting customers waiting outside faster. To be fair, there’s a lot of takeaway pickup orders which might the reason for the slight lapse in service. Food came out pretty quick and the food as expected is yummy! Warning.. the chili is is super spicy.. although i love it! All in all, great place for ayam penyet and other Indonesian classic Indonesian dishes.

Overall experience at this outlet is very awkward. Was not greeted when entering the restaurant, waiter gave me a menu stained with sambal, greasy tabletop. Overall cleanliness of the restaurant needs to be improved. Oh, and they practice pay before you eat policy. Such a weird experience. Nevertheless, their ayam penyet is crunchy and delicious, but rice is too dry.

We had the Ayam Bakar and the Beef Rendang both dishes were favourful and spicy ️ both meats were tender. To be honest, it was a surprise as we didn’t really think too much of it. We were hungry and would have settled for just about anything. These 2 dishes made our hungry tummy happy

So you know, your order will only be processed after you have made payment. Silly me selected payment at the cashier, thinking that payment was done after our meal. Not that it’s an issue. Just thought you should know.

Given our pleasant surprise, We will be back to check the other dishes.️

I had the beef rendang with rice (which you have to order separately for some reason?) which I was pretty excited about since I LOVE rendang. However not only was the portion pretty small, the meat was also too tough. The rempah (sauce) was good though. Together with a bottle of mineral water, I paid slightly over $10 for a meal that was honestly rather disappointing.

Highly recommend the Ayam penyet ($6.90) and gado-gado ($5.90)! The sambal belachan has that authentic spicy tang, sedap! Rice / lontong sold separately. The restaurant was bustling but service was quick.

I always have the grilled catfish which comes piping hot, caramelized and crunchy , yet fresh and tender flesh – a little scrawny but not many fat snakeheads around. The tofu and tempeh are a real treat too eaten with steaming hot rice.
I als tried the sour soup for $4.50 which is quite interesting. Piquant yet slightly sweet and with vegetables which bordered on being undercooked. And I have always loved teh botol. Value for money for sure, though ambience is pretty blah and service is horrid. I have been there at least a dozen times and still the staff treat me like I am bothering them! The old man scolded rudely me for not being in the queue when I was looking at the menu. The ladies are never welcoming nor smile. They have absolutely no manners but I still go there cos I like the food and the prices!
