It’s newly open so we make our way to try this since our fav Malat restaurant need to queue for long. We ordered tosai with potato fillings, garlic naan and chickpeas dish (we are vegetarian this week). And guess what, it surprised our taste!! The chickpeas taste is awesome and the textures is just well done (not too soft not too hard). The tosai taste good (my partner 1st tile trying it and he loves it) with a hint of sourish taste and soft plus crispy texture and the garlic naan is awesome when u eat it hot! Everything is good. U should try!

Ate here on the 14th January 2022 for dinner. My first time here. I wanted the Crispy Mee Hong Kong Seafood but they did not have that. Tried their fish burger which had a crispy patty, toasted bun and generous sauce, the fries were ok but the wait took slightly longer. My plus one bought the seafood fried rice which came fast but it was average. The avocado drink was good.

You could get a vegetarian meal which comes with 2 vegetables, rice , papadum, sambar ( lentil gravy ) and rasam for $3 and their masala dosa which is pretty good is also $3 – not the best photo but the meal was pretty good

Disappointed with the quality of the food. The tea O was too thick and bitter. When asked to make it thinner, the guy just add hot water. The outcome? Still bitter and even more distasteful. Saw the workers pour hot water into all the gravy as a way of replenishing them. Customer service can be improved. I believe this will be my first and last time coming to eat at this restaurant.

I came to the restaurant on the first day they opend, the s$6.5 mutton was sufficient for me. After a few times visiting here,I just felt hard to communicate with the staffs, they cant understand english very well. Answer u with unhelpful information at all. Mutton got fewer and fewer, and became more and more oily with abt 0.5cm height of oil from bowl bottom…Onion rings $5 for 6rings…The only dish i like is Plain Nann. Quite Expensive

Parta are made from factory made dole…
    Very flat…
    Taste like bread…
    And soft…

Came over for a late night supper…
The service is quite so so..
The prata, is a very average.

The chicken chop.. is plain non marinated…
I think they just took out from the package.. and fry…
    So.. the meat is tasteless…
They didn’t bother to cut the Chicken…
To make It easier cooked on the fire…
So the thicker part is not cooked…

    Over all….
    A place to be missed…

Waited there for close to 15 mins before someone approached me to take my order. Wasnt even seated so far away from any of the staff. Ordered Kway teow goreng mutton, fried chicken and kopi-c. Never received my chicken. Asked the staff 10 mins later, was told ” okay i check”. 10 mins later again asked the staff , same response. Slowly ate and 15 mins later i just gave up, quickly ate and proceeded to pay. It was a card system so i assumed maybe my ordered was never entered into the card, but apparently it was. Told the cashier who i assume is the manager/owner i never received the chicken. He checked with the staff and heard one of them say forget to prepare or something close. Manager/owner apologized so i let it go. He didnt count the chicken into my final bill.

Please train your staff to be more alert and aware of your customers and orders. It wasnt even peak period nor were there lots of patrons at that moment. I came at 6pm.

Food was delicious though. Whoever cooked the food was good. Portions generous and worth the price. Kopi-c also was very well made.

We visited Aladdin’s this evening and were pleasantly surprised by the food as well as the service at this new establishment! We stopped by for tea and asked for the specials. The friendly waiters recommended Kola Urundais, Mint Tea, Jewelled Mutton, Kashmiri Naan and Chicken Tikka Egg Rolls. We ordered all of it and asked to take away the rolls. And were not disappointed! The jewelled mutton went so well with the soft Kashmiri naans and the mint tea was really something else! I’m eating the roll now as I type this and it is so flavourful! They packed it so well, it remained nice and fresh 2 hrs after we asked for the take away. It’s not often that you find a cute, clean and affordable Indian place to have tea with friends! We will definitely visit this place again! And if I’m ever around Sophia road, and need a quick bite on the go, I’ll definitely get the rolls!

Great old school neighborhood Kopitiam focusing on authentic homegrown Indian food (shaped by intercultural influences). The menu items are Singaporean rather than those more common in India, e.g. they serve Prata (SEA style) and Roti John and Murtabak). One of the better (and more popular items) is the ‘paper thosai’, and I really like their ginger tea. Great Kopitiam ambience and good service.

The kambing (mutton) soup was also good – large serving and tasty albeit strongly salted with just enough mutton cubes of meat (as opposed to a generous serving). The chicken 65 and Tandoori chicken, chicken marsala, etc were also good. But the quality of food may vary from very good to merely – not sure if it’s because different cooks work on different days or because the cook’s ‘mood’ affects his/her cooking. Stick to the Indian food even though they’ve got Western and other cuisine on the menu.

The drinks tend to be good and my favorites have been the teh halia (ginger tea) and the marsala tea (spiced tea) – the teh tarik is also good but you can easily get that elsewhere.

The service varies depending on who’s on duty, as does the cleanliness of the place (ranging from drink stains and food bits on the tables to high class cafe scrubbed tables). There’s no air conditioning but it’s very well ventilated with ceiling fans, and there is almost always a slight breeze from outside, even on hot sunny days.

Still very good in March 2023, but drinks have gotten sweeter (too much sugar) and kambing soup still average (too much soup relative to the amount of lamb).

There’s decent prata here at an alright price. I only think it’s a little bit of a waste they don’t serve mutton curry. Noticed this trend amongst Prata places in recent months, maybe there’s a mutton curry shortage or it’s too expensive, I don’t know. Just raise prices for the prata, I love prata only with mutton curry.

They did offer alternatives like chicken curry though which is at least nice of them.

This would have been a two-star review if not for the excellent customer service. First of all, the rojak lacked punch and crunch. They looked pretty but tasted flat. The potatoes were sour. The gravy was another matter for which I will reserve comments. The following table ordered one thing, and something else was served. I do hope to return soon. Meanwhile, I hope the kitchen will improve the food quality because I do like the people and the place.

This is a new branch by the ABC chain. Nice vibes and reasonable price.

Very Impressive new Indian restaurant around the area, been there 3 times.
The ala carte dishes are fresh and tasty and they do it to your spice level preferences. I brought my colleagues and they enjoyed the fish head served in clay pot. 5 Stars keep it up!!!
