Very traditional Teochew restaurant that my grand uncle and grand aunt (both in their late 80s) approve. Food was delicious and my favourite dish was the horfun and ngohhiang.

Horfun had a slight wokhey taste to it. NgohHiang has yam inside. I don’t really like the Sweet and sour pork as they had bones. Meal was about $180.

A man took order giving us all large plate even though we have only 7 per table and food are horribly looking some even look and tasted like left over gather together. Before the experience was great, a lady very good with order. She always knew the quantity for the number of people, some she recommended middle and some small so that we can taste more dishes there. The bill came out reasonable and happy with the service. Will not enter again if that lady not there.

The wok hei from the teochew Kueh is very fragrant and is one of the best dishes I love. The fish maw soup has the pian Yu in every mouth of soup u drink. And they are generous with the ingredients too. Yam paste is not too sweet and you can taste bites of yam inside too. Oyster omelette is good too. Oyster is big and succulent. Had a weekend lunch here. It’s like a coffeeshop air con zi char place more than a restaurant type setting. Serving size is pretty good for the small portion. Food tastes quite nice too. I think prices shown are nett price (can’t recall if got +GST). I would return again.

Price are on high side if you just base on the dishes name, but they add a lot more ingredients in it compare to the normal zhi char, you must know how to appreciate it else the premium price might not suit you. Serving is fast and is a recommended teo chew restaurant.

Nice restaurant, with variety of different dialects dishes such as 猪脚冻 (teochew dish)

The serving time is also efficient and staff are friendly and helpful. The toilet is very cramped due to their space contraint.

The restaurant also serves free ice creams after your meals. Good place to bring the old and young generations to refamiliarize the old-time (古早味) dishes.

    Parking lots can be limited.

Have been coming here for ages for the lovely traditional teochew dishes. Steamed promfret was fresh and had the right sour kick to it. Cold crab was sweet and full of roe. Also try the chilled Pork jelly, it’s as traditional as it can get. U’ll love it if ur a fan of teochew food. Lack of a definite menu can be intimidating for first timers though

One of my dad’s favourite place since the time they were still at Teochew Street ( Now Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel) over 30 years ago.

Now the wok are managed by the sons. Tasty old school teochew food.

Love their fish maw soup and Orh Nee which has everyone including my kids licking off their bowl and always ordered the Winter Melon Soup served with the whole Melon to impress overseas friend. Their Pork Trotter Jelly / Aspic is another signature dish that my family will order.

Simple hearty meal and wish the prices can be as simple as well. Ha
