The noodles are really springy, chewy texture. Fishball isn’t fishy, with sweet salty taste, can get salty towards finishing the dish. It’s simple comforting yet a little bland

Decent food. Better than the average bowl of BCM for sure. The soup is nice, the proteins are VERY well done. The noodles were average. Overall, it’s pretty decent and not overpriced.

Id go again if the queue isn’t too long.

First time trying it though have heard about it for quite some time. Ordered the signature dry mee suah but was told it was not available. Ended up ordering the fish ball noodles and the bak chor mee. The noodles were just average nothing special, chilli was not spicy enough. Not sure how they decide the noodles cause they gave meepok for the bak chor mee and meekia for the Fishball noodles.
The soup looks really loaded with ingredients. Loved the loads of minced meat and my friend commented the liver soup was quite tasty. The fish ball I had was quite soft and tender and texture was pretty special.
Food was overall okay but the price is considerably higher than normal noodle stalls. Not sure will try again or not, but quite a number of people in the queue actually ordered lor mee.

Teochew Handmade Fishball Noodle with Dry Pork Liver. Branding itself as a heritage brand is probably a very strategic move since people associate heritage to experience and that translate to taste probably! The stall does not disappoint with their bowl but a must order here is the dry pork liver dish which is cooked with the right amount of time

Paid $4.80 for a dry bak chor mee. Considered expensive as other heartland areas selling bak chor mee between $3.50 and $3.80. The mee kia was springy. The pork slices and liver were tender. The soup was flavourful. Service was ok except queuing time was a bit long (about 20 minutes).

The previous owner of this stall was Grandpa Pork Noodles. I have been there several times. The handmade fishball noodles they sell are very special. Although they are more expensive than the usual noodle stalls, I think they are worth the money. Watching the crowds of customers queuing up is a very successful noodle restaurant, diners should give it a try.

Over-Rated, every time got people queuing. The noodle and condiments are pretty normal and average. The different is meatball and fishball are handmade, so it is softer and tastier. Unlike others, the soup won’t feel thirsty after drinking, then the minced meat enhanced the soup taste, making it addictive.

The queue at sunday 2am. The fishballs and meatballs are handmade. You can order set meal with choice of noodle or just the fish and meat balls on its own. Decent bak chow mee for late night supper. Can’t complain for an eatery open 24 hrs. Would have loved the soup to have more depth in flavour, its rather thin in taste with too much parsley. That said there was a generous topping of mince meat in the soup.
Ps the service lady was quite impatient.

Help my wife to buy dinner and was surprised that 3 young men workers and a lady worker standing within a line about 2 meter to sell and cook, is this one of the reasons covid-19 are spreading that government only want customers to keep 1m distancing but not workers? And also all workers no one put on groves when handling raw foods
The store with all young people handling but still not yet provide electronic scanned payments then what you expect the other stores with elderly owner? The coffee store in same coffee shop already provided electronic scanning payment even we buy $1 coffee.

Tried the signature dry mee sua ($6+). Taste wise it was pretty good overall, quite a vinegary heavy sauce for the noodles. The liver was well cooked- not too chewy and there was quite a generous portion. My only complain is that the amount of noodles is truly too little. I could scoop up the entire bowl with a pair of chopsticks!

It left me feeling very confused after the meal. Not sure if I’m full or hungry.. don’t eat it if you’re super hungry or a big eater!

    Surprise.

The meat ball is nice, not the usual normal one you get. It is bigger and got texture and great taste.
The fishball is also nice, also not usual with a much stronger fishy taste which make it more real and not like alot of powder added.
Noodle is normal. Old taste but abit weak.

The pork liver is great and very good. Lightly cooked and not hard. Yes taste great with the sauce. Very rare these days you get to eat this soft liver in coffee shop hawker.

Was running so errands around this Hougang neughbourhood and decided to pop by to have a light bite since it was raining heavily. Saw a post on social media and decided to give this place a try.

Apart from the standard fishball/minced meat noodle, they also have quite a variety of noodles to choose from like laksa and lormee. Noodle are priced SGD$4 onwards. I had item no. 4 which was SGD$4.80. Basically a bowl of mee pok that comes with 2 slices of abalone garnished with fried anchovies and a bowl of rich soup that comes with nicely done liver and minced and sliced pork. The soup and liver was very good. Liver was cooked to perfect doness.

A pity that the noodle was too oily. It would be better if they reduce the oil they put into the sauce.

If you like liver (good liver) like me, stop and come right here. Liver thickness is consistent. And it goes well with kuay teow. For this price, you probably can’t find it anywhere else. Did I tell you it’s not 5 slices not 10 slices but more than that. So you know why I am so happy today.

the liver is super al dente and levels up the soup flavor and umami! I love that the noodles were so springy too. recommend …

Springy fishballs, soft sliced pork liver with meatballs that taste different from the usual factory made one with plump he kiao.

All these made up a good bowl of comforting soup.

Noodles is little oily, remember to ask for less chilli.

A good bowl of Bak chor Mee, but an outstanding bowl of Ter Kwa (pork liver). The pork liver alone is worth coming for, but pair it with the dry noodles for a satisfying meal you will not regret.

I tried the signature scallop dried mee sua previously and the taste of the dried mee sua and the taste was beyond my imagination. It was not mushy but al dente and tasted sour from the vinegar, very interesting flavour. I prefer less vinegar and more sweetness in the mee sua. The scallop was alright but I love the pork liver. It was cooked just right and the portion was generous.

This time round, I decided to skip the scallop. I tried the dry specialty pork liver. Portion of pork liver was generous and was served with crispy pork lard which went well with the liver. I topped it up with a bowl of dried mee sua which added up to $5.50. I was really full after the meal. For the mee sua, soup and liver+lard, I think the price is reasonable!

I will definitely come back for this to satisfy my craving for mee sua or liver. I shall ask for less or no vinegar in my mee sua next time.

Above average handmade fishball noodles. Takeaway meepok is still QQ, condiments/chilli/vinegar well balanced.

Fishballs look handmade due to irregular shape, but we had better ones elsewhere. The soup stock lacks oomph compared to other Teochew stalls with ti poh.

Chinese noodles that tastes a bit different compared to other noodle stalls. You can tell the quality is better. The fishball and meatball you can tell that it’s handmade, as the taste is different. The noodles are well-balanced and evenly mixed with the sauce and chilli.
The person got my order wrong though. Asked for non chilli with ketchup, but got the chilli one.
Worth the try if you hadn’t tried it before!

The pig liver, meat mince, fish ball (added) is soft and tasty, it taste the same like my childhood time.
Black vinegar using the teochew old brand.
Only set back is the Mee pok abit hard due to machine mass production. If only can hand made like older days, will be perfect

This is a Teochew style Fishball Noodle stall. Their noodles are springy mixed with vinegar, chili and you can find traces of crunch pork lard, which gives it a old-school flavor. Their fishballs are tender yet firm, bouncy with a good bite. They are all handmade, you can tell easily as they are all irregularly-shaped not the normal round shaped ones. The soup is very tasty as the semi-fatty minced pork has completely been absorbed into the soup, making the broth very cloudy. You will finish every single drop of it !

Taste is ok but expensive. Noodle and pork portion is too little at this price compared to Ah Li Mee Pok at west coast. Pork liver too thin for my liking.

This coffeeshop was just renovated. This is the first time I am eating this noodle. Have heard of this brand before. Signature mee pok costs $5, a bit steep if you ask me. But there were 2 slices of ‘abalone’ or rather giant squid slices and they were quite generous with the amount of pork liver. Payment by cash only. Don’t understand why they are using ceramic bowls though. Now that customers has to return bowl/trays or even when collecting food, it’s actually stressful to carry such bowls for fear of breakage. It’s much heavier than melamine bowls.
