A Girls Night Out in London

A Girls Night Out in London

It’s nearly Friday, and this week the girls have left it to you to organise a night out on the town. But, with so many places to choose from, it’s proving a lot harder than you first thought. Whatever your tastes or interests, there’s something in London to suit everyone. Here are just a few ideas to get you started.

One for the gourmand girls…
Love good conversation and even better food? Try something different at one of London’s more exotic restaurants like Asadal, which serves Korean barbecue in Holborn. Its inconspicuous underground location and relaxing oriental atmosphere make it the perfect place to hide away for an evening of girly chat. Service is quick and fun as the waiters grill your food in front of you, but be prepared to come out smelling edible yourself. While you wait, dishes like kimchi are perfect for sharing – and practicing your skills with chopsticks. Large parties may enjoy the added privacy of a separate booth.

One for the cultured girls…
London is often synonymous with the West End… and for good reason! The city’s collection of theatre productions is one of the most celebrated in the world, so you’d be mad not to take advantage. One of the most popular musicals is Wicked, showing at the Victoria Apollo, which depicts the untold story of the witches from the famous novel The Wizard of Oz. If you’re after something with a cabaret feel, Chicago – showing at the Garrick Theatre – has plenty of half-clad male dancers to swoon over with the girls!

One for the classy girls…
A girly night is never complete without a few (too many) cocktails, right? If this is your idea of a good time, the Lost Angel bar in Battersea is the place for you. You’ll be spoilt for choice with a list of 60 cocktails and an array of unusual drinks, and the over-23 age restriction ensures a more mature clientele. Add to this four decadently furnished rooms, each with their own theme, and you’re set for a sophisticated evening of indulgence with your closest friends.

One for the clubber girls…
If it’s music and dancing you’re after, London has a nightclub to suit almost every mood. Dress to impress at Victoria Street’s Pacha, the stylish venue that recreates Ibiza’s vibe. Rock out to live bands and alternative club nights at KOKO, set in the quirky old Camden theatre. Or why not mix it up in the themed rooms at Tiger Tiger near Leicester Square?

Whatever you decide to do on your girls night out, always make sure you plan your travel options beforehand for a safe journey home. If you’re visiting the city from further afield, serviced apartments can be a great alternative to a hotel for larger groups.
