Probably the smallest hawker centre with 18 stalls. Accessibility may be an issue as it is not near MRT. But it is a popular hawker centre that serves niche market: the residents living around here.

The fish soup stall has a long queue: no wonder, the soup is tasty. Fish ball noodle costs only $3. Tried the $5 fish soup with $0.50 rice.

Despite its small size, this hawker centre has a dessert stall with both joy and cold choices.

There is something about this carrot cake that makes it taste different from others. I hope the picture does it justice. Maybe the right heat of the pan. Maybe the craft. The eggs are fried to the right texture and taste(sometimes with wok hey), the cake itself retains some taste of rice flour, and the preserved radish gives an extra dash of savoury. This auntie has been frying for close to 40 years now and it is always sold out before 9.30am! #carrotcake

Guess what I finally found Kway Chap here in this hawker centre that’s still in the past(rent wise). It’s difficult to keep prices low at Clementi Ave 3 or 5 (the biggest one) which are selling more up market food. There’s a Sheng Siong and FairPrice nearby. It’s a self contained neighbourhood centre which has grown a lot in recent years.

There’s a saying here : There’s food every 100 metres at Clementi whether it’s hawker centre or kopitiam. Clementi isn’t heavily populated but the transient population like students at nearby university and polytechnics is the reason there’s so much food!

Very basic neighborhood hawker centre. Nothing to write home about but serves up decent simple local delights. Basically a place that is simple to come for a quick meal and not be disappointed, but nothing here will cause people to come from far just to eat.

If you have just finished late (between 10pm 11pm) from work, concert or other kind of events, feeling hungry or thirsty, you can come here and get your Teh-Tarik, Bandung and Indian Mee Goreng.

Come during daytime, be sure to come early for breakfast and order Prata, Malay and Chinese food before they all ran out.
