    Soup taste ok, thick.
But the noodles are short2 like tauge, is that how is supposed to be, can’t even use chopstick to eat, must use spoon.
Try the sungei road laksa, they only give Spoon n no chopstick, must gek chopstick to pick up their noodle cause is long

I was hoping they serve other variety of food other than laksa. But the laksa was good but a bit pricey for me. I’ve eaten laksa in other places that taste better but of a reasonable price. Needs improvement on their ingredients.

not the same anymore, tried here once and still preferred the one run by the founder Lucy Koh @328 EC Rd but unfortunately it closed sometime back

Laksa here is authentic with all the right ingredients added plus an awesome coconut-based gravy. You can opt for 3 different sizes to match your appetite. Service is good and fast – I got mine in 5 minutes. Peak period is between 12 noon to 2pm when office workers swarm there for their favourite dish.

Flavour is above average compared to your run of the mill laksa store. However, I thought the ingredients could be more generous and the cockles that I had on that day didn’t taste fresh. Also ordered the otah, which tasted pretty average.

Overpriced. Used to be cheap and good. Nowadays the prices are $5.80, $6.80, $7.80 for the different sizes. Probably due to the location and high rental. Same as other franchised food chain, quality dropped when they expanded…

The is a cheap , more fast food style restaurant located in a cool Katong district, however do not be deceived by the exterior or interior of this place. It is amazing. In case you would like to try the real Singaporean laksa, which is very delicious, that’s the place to go. They serve the most amazing laksa you can try and you should try it here. It is even worth to come to Katong, just because of this restaurant. Do not miss, you will not regret coming here for sure.

Laksa was good and filling, but not outstanding. Or maybe I just had high expectations since this is a popular stall. The taste gets better though when there’s seafood in each bite.

A small bowl costs SGD 6.3 plus an additional SGD 1.5 for a soft-boiled egg.

Delicious laksa that you can eat with a spoon. The noodlea are cut short to be able to scoop with all the seafood and brooth. This was a laksa worth the trek out. There is seating outside in front of the stall. It was easy to find as it’s next to the Starbucks Reserve.

Very expensive for a small bowl of laksa with a few cockles, 2 tiny shrimps and a few strands of bean sprouts for $5.50. Not sure whether egg or otah was part of the offer but when enquired further was informed that have to pay.

My friend and I were recommended this place by our taxi driver from the airport. We happened to stumble upon it after wandering around the area. The laksa is really good! Lots of noodles and seafood. The soup base is not too creamy, just the right amount of spicy, and only 6.50 for a medium bowl, which was a good amount for my friend and I to share (though we’ve been eating all day so we weren’t starving when we got it.) It’s a little food stall that’s easy to miss, so keep an eye out!

It tastes a lot more ordinary than you think. I think it’s better to just eat at the local food market and the price is cheaper. I don’t think it’s a place to go to eat on purpose.

생각보다 엄청 평범한 맛이에요. 그냥 로컬 푸드 마켓에서 먹는 게 더 맛있고 가격도 저렴한 것 같아요. 일부러 찾아가서 먹을 만한 집은 아니라고 생각합니다.

Really good laksa. I finished one medium bowl ($7.30, quite pricey) and it was delicious. The soup was hot and the texture was just right. The noodles were also not too short and were cut at a comfortable length. The service crew gave me a pair of disposable chopsticks on top of their usual spoon.

Also, the fact that I ordered a medium bowl also seemed to come as a surprise to some people queueing behind me. One guy ordered a small bowl for himself and a couple ordered a medium bowl for themselves to share. Rest assured, however, that you can definitely finish a medium sized bowl if you are hungry. Perhaps if you don’t have much of an appetite or are trying the laksa for the first time, you can order the small bowl. I didn’t see any options for cashless payment, so I paid with cash.

The service crew were very responsive and friendly. When I asked for extra chilli, they promptly gave me more and even asked if it was enough.

I went there on a weekend during lunch time and it wasn’t too crowded; I managed to find seats easily. It also wasn’t too hot for me, because I grabbed a seat underneath the overhead fan. There were very few birds around as well (I only spotted one), so you can eat in peace.

Nearest MRT: Novena. It’s a short walk from the MRT to United Square. The shop is located near the entrance of the mall, so you can’t miss it.

I had laksa for my first meal after arriving in Singapore I was really curious about what it would taste like, but I ate it well for reference. Still, it’s famous when you come to Singapore, so I recommend you to try it at least once! It’s like a jjamppong combination of rich shrimp flavor and coconut milk.. The price is cheap, and lime juice is a must when ordering!!! It plays a role in catching the feeling that comes up when eating

Not the perfect laksa. Since it is not always crowded. So the gravy is not hot.
Today the gravy is thicker than usual.
Bean sports boiled too long and left there.
The drinks are also expensive $1.70 for a can of HnE lemon Tea.

What I like about this place. Is because there is a old Chang kee next door.
So I can buy the the fried stuffs and dip in the gravy.

I was in Malaysia and Singapore for just under three weeks and this might be the best laksa I’ve had (ever), although the laksa I had in Sarawak, Malaysia was super tasty too. The broth was to die for!!

Generous serving of delectable laksa. Also ordered the fried prawn cake. There was a lot more bee hoon and could have had more ingredients. The laksa gravy was very tasty.

Prefer the Katong branch. This is good too but missing something. Might be the location, because family goes to the other one all the time.

If you can’t go all the way to Katong, but really want to have nice laksa, this can be an option. Located not far from Newton MRT, this place is really just a stall outside a mall, but they serve good laksa as it is in Katong.

A lot of people say that the location isn’t good because it’s outside and not air-conditioned but we’re tired of aircon and that Singapore is hot anyway so why not eating hot coconut rich soup and be sweaty (and merry)?

All in all, it’s worth visiting for a short cut if you don’t want to go all the way to Katong

Reasonable price, easy to eat, not too spicy, soup is a little bit salty but overall best Laksa! (Second in my mind is Qiji, which doesn’t have the cocos)

Quick and easy for take away. Service is good but too bad is outdoor seating. Usually will just go for take away.

Not the original stall, but just as delicious. The laksa here tends to be slightly more expensive than elsewhere, but you definitely won’t be disappointed with the flavour. They are generous with the ingredients as well. Great bowl of laksa if you are around the area, though there are betters ones for cheaper if you search them out.

We usually eat at the East Coast shop but this time round, our delivered meal was from Thomson location.

The gravy looked thin (and separated) but packed a punch after adding the sambal. I did enjoyed my lunch and finished all the gravy although my young grandchildren found it too spicy .

Too bad there’s no cockles and we also did not order the otah which would be a great accompaniment.

In all honesty it’s an okay laksa shop. It’s not fabulous and it’s definitely not like the original Katong laksa. Prices are a little steep compared to the other “local food” around the area, especially when wanton noodles next door is only $5. Just wished that the soup base was a little thicker, and the noodles less starchy. The noodles, ultimately, was a little overpowering compared to the entire bowl of experience.

I think this laksa was less spicy than one in Katong.
    Milder and easier to eat

Not bad but not the best.

This bowl cost $5.5, overpriced n they did not put in any effort to present it nicely?

I find that my regular Hawker stall opp my house laksa (lorong ah soo market) selling at $3.50 beat this hands down in terms of taste n presentation.
